Nanxi has been learning Burmese for some time. Although she is not very fluent in speaking it yet, she can understand daily communication even with some guesswork.
She probably understood what the pitiful girl who was kneeling on the ground and crying meant.
She liked Balu, but she didn't plan to do anything about it. Knowing that he had a wife, she just wanted to hide in the corner and secretly like him. She went to the apartment to clean just to be closer to him, with no other purpose.
Balu didn't listen to what she said the whole time, and didn't dare to take his eyes off Nanxi for a moment, for fear that she would have a thought, turn around and leave, and never want him again.
Yin Yin was probably the most excited among these people. The more she listened to her excuses, the angrier she became, and in the end she even reached out to hit the girl.
"Pull her away." Nanxi put down her phone, leaned back on the sofa, crossed her arms over her chest, and spoke indifferently.
Fu Chai pulled Yin Yin aside.
"You said that you cleaned the apartment and placed little things in it that showed your feelings because you liked him?"
Na Tu translated her words. The girl with tears in her eyes turned her head, looked at Nanxi without saying a word, then turned to look at Balu, looking pitiful and broken.
Baru Jun frowned, and was furious. "Are you sick?"
Nanxi rolled her eyes at him and looked at Yinyin, "Did you let her in? Do you have the key to the apartment?"
Yin Yin knew a little Chinese and nodded reluctantly.
"I have the keys to A'long and Zhanpeng's apartments. Sometimes I was busy and forgot to ask anyone to clean them. Later, Yinyin mentioned it to me, and I let her take care of it. I'm sorry, it was my negligence." Natu said apologetically.
Nanxi sighed, "Today, a woman who likes Baru took the key and put flowers and fruits in it. What about tomorrow? Someone who has a grudge against him planted a bomb in it. Will you give it to him too?"
After he finished speaking, everyone present changed their expressions, and Na Tu even broke out in a cold sweat on his back. How could he make such a low-level mistake? If Aaron lived here, he would put his life in his hands. He had just left the army and he had forgotten even the most basic vigilance of a soldier.
"I'm sorry, Aaron, I'm sorry for this." Natu's eyes were full of guilt.
Nanxi looked down at the girl again, "If you really just wanted to like him secretly and look at him secretly, you wouldn't have put all these little thoughts out in the open. You wouldn't even have the time to hide them, for fear of being discovered. Since you've left such obvious traces, you wouldn't just stop at secretly liking him."
She didn't even use a speculative tone, but was stating a fact with certainty.
"Also, explain to me why his vest smells so strongly of perfume? Didn't you leave it there on purpose for me to discover it?"
After Natu finished translating those words, the girl finally panicked, bit her head and looked at Balu, explaining,
"Mr. Long, I didn't. I really didn't. Please believe me."
"How the hell do I know who you are? Get out of the way." Baru was afraid that she would get close to him, so he glared at Fu Chai fiercely. Fu Chai, who was watching the whole thing, then stepped forward and pulled her back.
"Okay, now I know everything. You can leave." Nanxi waved his hand and Fu Chai took the man out.
"Nanxi, I will fire her tomorrow, don't worry." Na Tu said.
The indifferent woman raised the corner of her lips and looked at Yin Yin, "Yin Yin, you should know about this, right?"
Yin Yin, who was about to leave, stopped at the door, turned around, and met Nan Xi's cold eyes, "I didn't expect her to do anything tricky."
"Really? I've seen the fruit plate in the apartment. It's the same one you personally placed on the top floor that time. But it's subtly different from the ones sold to customers in the kitchen. Because they're pressed for time, the fruit plates in the kitchen usually only have a simple watermelon carving. The one in the apartment has several roses carved from the watermelon, two swans carved from apples, and a touch of Provence. It's really thoughtful."
Yin Yin's face turned paler and paler. She looked at Nan Xi, narrowed her eyes slightly, and said nothing.
"You can deny it, but I have already made a conclusion on this matter." Nanxi didn't want to say anything more. Now that things have come to this, Natu naturally knew what to do.
She took a step forward, carrying her bag as she walked out. Baru took a deep breath, kicked Natu hard, and gritted his teeth, "I treat you as a brother, and you're fucking saying that to me, huh?"
Na Tu was also upset, "I don't know why these women are so troublesome. I'm so annoyed."
"Just wait for me."
Baru uttered a harsh word and chased after him.
"Wife...Wife..."
"Xixi...Nanxi..."
He grabbed the man and said, "You heard it too. I really didn't know. I was wronged to death..."
"Let go." Nanxi said coldly, unwilling to turn around and look at him.
"No, isn't it all clear? It's none of my business. Why are you still angry?"
He was in a state of confusion. He had never been able to understand her sudden temper, and now it was even more difficult. It was obvious that he was being wronged in this matter, so why was he so angry?
"I don't want to talk to you. Now, let me go..." She looked at the man with her beautiful eyes. Under the bright neon lights in the middle of the night, Baru's handsome face was full of confusion.
"Xixi..."
"I'm going back to my villa in Banlan Community today. I won't contact you in the next two days, so don't come looking for me."
After she finished speaking, she twisted her wrist, pulled her hand out of his shackles, and then reached into his trouser pocket to take out the car keys.
"I'll drive over myself and you can stay here."
She took the key and walked towards the car parked not far away.
"Baby, please be good and stop making trouble, okay? With your skills, you should be driving bumper cars all the way back. Be good, okay?"
The man had no choice but to go along with the girl and try to appease her with his tail between his legs. He was so angry that he didn't even know where to vent it.
"Don't bother me..." Nan Xirun's eyes were filled with tears, she stamped her feet and glared at him.
"Baby, what's wrong? What grievances have you suffered? Can you please tell me? I will change, I will definitely change, why are you crying?" The man scratched the back of his head in annoyance, really not knowing what to do.
"I just want to go home, don't follow me." The more she spoke, the more aggrieved she felt, and tears dropped down her face.
In fact, it wasn't because she felt so aggrieved about what happened today. She probably just didn't like the feeling of being calculated and being swept up in emotions.
From childhood to adulthood, everything she had belonged to her completely. There was no one who coveted it, let alone the possibility of it being taken away by someone. It simply did not exist.
When she was in junior high school, Aunt Ying’s granddaughter came to her house to play and took a fancy to one of her skirts. While she was drawing, she ran over to try it on herself. Aunt Ying immediately gave it to the little girl. Although the skirt was given to her by her father, she didn’t want it anymore because it had been touched by someone else.
But Ba Xiaolu is a person, not a skirt. She knows it is none of her business, but her emotions still make it impossible for her to pretend that nothing happened. She doesn't like the feeling of fighting with other women for a man without regard for her dignity.
