Chapter 216 My wife is almost gone, what's the point of having a face

It was not late at night, and Nanxi had nothing to pack except painting supplies and a few books. The rest of the clothes, cosmetics, etc. were basically all available in the apartment. If they were not available, she could just buy them. She was too lazy to pack.

Baru packed her things into a suitcase, went to the cloakroom to get a coat, put it on her shoulders, and then without saying a word, took her hand and walked out the door.

The top floor of Neifa is a luxuriously decorated apartment. In the beginning, Nan Zhenguo cleared out an entire floor so that his daughter could have more rest at work, and decorated it in her favorite style to coax her to come to work obediently.

Baru put the painting supplies and books in the suitcase into the study, went to the kitchen to check, asked someone to buy some snacks and water, checked the temperature of the air conditioner, and went to the bedroom to take out the clothes she had just changed and wash them, and then stood at the door reluctantly.

"Wife. Then I'm leaving?"

Nanxi sat on the sofa and listened to the class, "Well, drive carefully."

The man pursed his lips. "Can I leave tomorrow?"

"cannot."

"Can I wait until you fall asleep before I leave?"

"You're affecting my mood here." The little woman didn't even raise her eyelids.

"Then I'll pick you up for dinner tomorrow?"

"good."

Seeing that she finally agreed to something, he didn't dare to push his luck any further. He took a deep look at her profile, then turned and walked out.

"There's no such thing as true love in this world. It's all lies made up by hypocritical men..."

"Baby, don't get married in the future. Your mother has tried marriage for you, and it's very painful..."

"Baby, never follow your mother's old path. You lost your dignity and self-esteem for a man. You must always live freely and unrestrainedly, and always have a way out..."

In the middle of the night, her mother appeared in her dream again with disheveled hair and a haggard look. She hadn't dreamed of her mother for a long, long time.

I woke up crying in my dream, got up and went to the living room.

He wanted to get a glass of ice water, but after seeing the words "Wife, don't drink ice water, there is warm water in the kettle" written like a dog on the refrigerator, he finally turned around and went to the restaurant.

Her thermos was placed on the dining table, showing the temperature at 40 degrees. She poured a cup and drank it, but she couldn't fall asleep.

Sitting on the bed, I suddenly remembered how he looked when I first met him at the age of nineteen.

At that time, he was really a gangster, very scary, and fierce. Just looking at him made people want to cry.

But in order to survive, she lied to him and coaxed him again and again, trying every possible way to escape.

Although he was always furious and threatened her, he would always be coaxed into silence by her words.

She never believed in the so-called love from a teenager's mouth, but she fell into his passion again and again.

She always reminds herself to be rational. Love for an immature man comes and goes quickly, but she is melted by his chest again and again.

He was in jail. She thought there was no possibility between them forever, but when they met again, he was just angry that she had someone else with her, and that person was not him, that's all.

Even though he had lost his memory, he still wanted her subconsciously when he saw her.

If this isn't love, then what is?

Between them, he always moves forward courageously while she looks ahead and behind.

However, her parents had a bad relationship when she was a child, which left a heavy shadow on her. Every time another woman tried to snatch him away, she would unconsciously want to back off.

This has almost become a conditioned reflex-like self-protection mechanism.

The warm morning sun caressed her cheeks. Nanxi slowly opened her eyes and found that she had fallen asleep on the sofa. She looked at the time and it was eight o'clock in the morning.

After washing up, putting on some light makeup and changing clothes, it was already nine o'clock.

I ate a piece of bread, drank some milk, and went out with my bag.

She stood at the elevator entrance and pressed the down button, but the faint smell of cigarette smoke coming from the emergency exit made her turn her head unconsciously.

Why is there a smell of smoke here? Ordinary people can't get up here, and even the emergency passage is not open to anyone.

Her heart suddenly rose to her throat. She took out her cell phone and subconsciously called Baru.

A vibrating sound came from behind the emergency exit door. Even though it only sounded once before being turned off, the truth was right in front of us.

He put his phone into his bag and took a few steps forward with a cold expression, "Come out!"

"Baru, I'll count to three. If you don't come out, you'll stay here. One—"

"Wife..." The man behind the door came out guiltily. As he opened the door, a strong smell of cigarette hit him in the face. Nanxi frowned, looked inside, and threw cigarette butts all over the floor.

"Do you want to beat yourself to death?" The little woman's voice was filled with a hint of anger.

"I miss you." He answered irrelevantly.

"When did you come here?"

"I didn't leave." The man looked like a defeated beast, with his head drooping, stubble evident on his chin, and bloodshot eyes. It was obvious that he had not slept all night.

"I'm just coming here to stay for two days. What are you doing?" Nan Xi looked at him and felt inexplicably angry. Her injuries had not yet healed completely, and he was already making such a fuss, as if she was about to run away with another man.

"I'm afraid you don't want me anymore. If you're still angry and you buy a plane back to China, where can I find you? If I find you and you don't come back with me, I have no way to deal with it. I can't force you, because then you will never forgive me. But if you get along with someone else, my life will be gone. I can't take that risk."

He turned his face away and didn't dare look at her, like a problem student who knew he had made a mistake but refused to repent.

"You wanted to live on your own, so I brought you here. Now that you don't want me around, I'll leave. Can't I just stay at the door? I'm not disturbing you."
