Nanxi was followed by a Dharma protector when she went to work. She stayed there for less than three hours before calling Sun Cheng in, arranging some important matters, and then left the bank.
This conspicuous bag is really too troublesome.
He was either mopping the floor and wiping the tables in her office, or outside fiddling with the coffee machine, printer, etc. Finally, he squatted outside and chatted with the security guard. While chatting, for some unknown reason, he beat up a foreigner who was causing trouble. If he continued to stay like this, she was afraid that he would even blow up the bank.
"What are you doing? Your bag is so conspicuous." As soon as she got in the car, the little woman glanced at him sideways, staring at him with her black and white eyes, and started to question him.
"That foreigner is trying to cause trouble, honey. The security guards you hired are no good. They're too weak. I'll send you a team later." The man said calmly, "Bank robberies have happened in Yangon before, so you still have to be careful. You know, it doesn't matter whether it's money or not. Don't scare you."
"You can't hit someone, though. You almost killed them. If they report you to the embassy, even if the military doesn't bother you, the government won't let you go. Don't you know how many eyes are watching you and trying to pick on you?"
"It's okay, wife. If they want to cause trouble for me, they need to have good teeth. Your man is not a vegetarian." Baru rubbed her head with his big hand. "Are you okay today?"
"Yeah!" Nanxi responded with a cold face, still feeling unhappy.
"Then let's go on a date." He raised his eyebrows, stepped on the accelerator to the bottom, and the car sped away.
…
On the east side of the Irrawaddy River Delta, on the left bank of the Yangon River, is one of the world's major rice export ports and Myanmar's first commercial port - Yangon Port.
Huge ships shuttled back and forth busily. The top private cruise ships that temporarily docked were heavily guarded and no one dared to approach.
The car stopped and the man jumped out. He bent down and picked up his wife, whose anger had mostly subsided. "Baby, let's go fishing, okay?"
"Oh no, the sun is so strong, how can we fish? We'll get sunburned." Nanxi glared at him.
The man took out a parasol from her bag and wielded it. "How about going out to the sea for a barbecue? Didn't you say you wanted to paint the starry sky? Let's go and see it today, okay?"
The expression on Nanxi's face relaxed a little. "Then take a look and come back soon."
"Okay, honey, come on, I'll carry you."
His back was broad and strong, and I felt extremely safe lying on it.
She seemed to always find this feeling in him: solid, comfortable and refreshing.
This feeling was something I only had when I lived with my grandfather in the countryside.
After getting on the yacht, Baru just gave the order to set sail when he heard an unpleasant sound.
"You bastard, why didn't you call us when you went out to play?" Zhan Peng walked in shamelessly. "When you have good fortune, you enjoy it yourself. When you have trouble, everyone bears the responsibility, right?"
Baru felt a surge of blood rushing to his head, and he wanted to kick the bastard out and drown him. "Didn't you see me bringing my wife out? Don't you have any sense? Get out of here before I lose my temper."
"Uncle Long, we won't disturb your date. We'll just go out for some fun and have a meal. Don't be so stingy." Wu Jie rushed out from behind Zhan Peng. "It's not easy for your boat to go out to sea. With us here, the fuel money won't be wasted."
"Do you two have any shame?" Baru glared at them angrily.
"How could I hang out with you if I had the guts to?" Zhan Peng raised his eyebrows like a scoundrel. "I won't take up much of your space. It's fine for me and Ajie to live in the same room, right? Don't worry, we ran five kilometers this morning and are exhausted. We don't have the energy to eavesdrop. Go ahead and do whatever you want."
"Damn it. Do you want a beating?" Baru threw the water bottle in his hand towards Zhan Peng. Zhan Peng dodged it with his head tilted and ran inside. "I'm going to watch a movie first. Call me when you get there."
"I'll go find Xixi." When Baru glanced at him, Wu Jie felt a chill on his back and quickly looked for support, "Xixi. Xixi, your baby Jie is here..."
"Wu Jie, if you keep yelling like that, I'll break your teeth." Baru growled, then followed him in.
With Wu Jie's company, Nanxi had long forgotten her anger. She played games with him and taught Wu Jie how to play chess. The two of them had a lot of fun.
When Balu walked into the audio-visual room, Zhanpeng had already drunk half a bottle of beer. The movie was paused at the beginning and he was not watching at all.
"What happened? Do you have to talk about it on the boat?" Barumai walked over, opened a bottle of beer and drank it.
"Recently, there have been a number of missing persons cases in Southeast Asian countries, and drug-related crimes have surged, with international public opinion pointing the finger at northern Myanmar.
Under pressure from Congress, Mengge agreed to a joint military operation with Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam. However, this matter has not been announced to the public. Only the top leaders of the four countries have reached an agreement.
Brother Meng mentioned this to me just the day before yesterday, saying that you have to stay in Yangon to lead the troops and let me lead the action team to participate.
Yingbai and I just spoke on the phone yesterday. This morning, a car bomb was planted in his vehicle. If it weren't for the experience of the bodyguard captain, he would have died."
Baru Jun's face tensed up, his dark eyes narrowed, "Do you suspect there's a rat around you?"
"Yeah, but I can't act rashly." Zhan Peng said, "Before getting on the boat, I threw all four of my cell phones into the car. Even my clothes and shoes were all bought and changed in the car."
"I understand. I'll have my people investigate." Baru said in a deep voice.
This tacit understanding between brothers has been unspoken for many years.
"Time is running out. No matter who we find out, we'd rather kill someone by mistake than let him go. The minute you kill someone, I'll be off to Thailand." Zhan Peng raised his head and took a sip of his wine. "Damn it! I've endured this for so long. I couldn't even chase my wife when she ran away. I won't stop until I catch the man this time."
