Nanxi thought Yana might be too tired. "How about you sit on the sofa and take a rest while I play with Danmin for a while?"
"Then be careful and don't let her touch your stomach. Don't look at her small size, she's very strong. I can feel the pain from one kick."
"Okay." Nanxi sat on the mat, facing Danmin, and wanted to pull her little hand, but Danmin thought he was going to snatch her cookies and immediately became alert.
Nanxi smiled and said, "Why is she the same as Nannan, also guarding her food?"

After Yana left, Nanxi spoke.
"What happened to Danmin? I don't believe you don't know anything."
"She spent the last few days in the orphanage. They treated her like an animal, not a child. Danmin was too young to discern the truth, so they just did whatever they wanted. For several days in a row, Yana and Nanxi took Danmin out to play and let her interact with other children. Yana felt distressed and guilty, so she got up early every day, made fresh garlands, and went to the Redegong Pagoda to kneel down and pray.
Nanxi has been getting up early recently, so she went with her.
The Buddha's light shines everywhere on the Shwedagon Pagoda, and devout men and women come in an endless stream to kneel down and worship devoutly.
