Nanxi had never taken such a quick and simple bath in her life.
He found a bar of soap from under the shelf and washed his hair and body in the time it took him to chop wood, boil water, and cook instant noodles.
When Baru came in with the bucket of instant noodles, the girl standing by the bed had wet hair and was still dripping. She was wearing his T-shirt and wiping her face with his vest.
An unprecedented numbing sensation suddenly spread from the soles of my feet to my entire body, even my tailbone was numb.
His bulging Adam's apple rolled violently, and he put the instant noodles on the shelf.
"You washed it pretty quickly! Come and have some noodles!" After he said that, he took two steps over, picked up the basin and left.
A basin of water splashed onto the dirt road at the door. The man lit a cigarette irritably, took two puffs, and took out his cell phone.
"Brother Lu!"
"Well! Go to town tomorrow and get me something to take a bath." Balu held the cigarette butt in his hand and said lightly, "Get me a water boiler, and find a reliable person who can cook Chinese food. Make the food and deliver it to me every day."
The person on the other end of the phone was silent for more than ten seconds, and finally replied without asking anything, "Okay!"
After hanging up the phone, the man threw away his cigarette butt and went upstairs.
Even though she was so hungry that her stomach was about to cramp, the girl still looked so elegant and beautiful while eating.
Balu never knew that eating alone could be so pleasing to the eye. It was true that good-looking people looked good in everything they did, especially since this person was his wife.
He scratched his head with a silly smile, showing a rare bit of youthfulness.
Nanxi stood by the shelf, swallowed a mouthful of noodles, pursed her lips, and asked, "Do you have any tissues?"
Baru pulled out a camouflage backpack from under the bed, took out a roll of wrinkled toilet paper, the kind that looked very rough, and handed it over.
The girl frowned in disgust, momentarily forgetting to control her expression.
This kind of low-quality paper is not even used in the bathroom of her servants.
"Use it if you want!" Baru naturally saw her undisguised emotions, and a nameless anger rose in his heart.
So what if she's from a wealthy family? She still has to sleep with me obediently, right?
He threw the paper onto the shelf, "Have you finished eating? Eat and go to sleep!"
Nanxi bit her lip, knowing that her reaction just now was a bit too much and had offended this man. She thought about trying to coax him first. After all, when you are under someone's roof, it is better to be sweet-mouthed to avoid any loss!
"Um...you...don't get me wrong, I don't dislike you."
To prove the truth of what she said, she moved over and wiped her mouth with a piece of paper.
The rough texture hurts my mouth a bit.
Baru raised his eyes and looked at her cautious look, and his heart itched again.
Never mind, it's good to be able to bend and stretch.
After all, she is a rich girl, so it is normal that she is a little difficult to raise.
"Just make do with it tonight, and I'll take you to town to buy some things tomorrow, okay?"
Seeing that he was so easy to coax, Nanxi felt relieved, nodded, and sat obediently on the edge of the bed, wanting to say something but stopping herself.
"If you have something to say, just say it. I don't have time to guess!"
The man folded his hands behind his head, lay down on the bed, and said with his eyes closed.
The girl was stunned for a few seconds, then organized her words. "Well, you must really need money, right?"
The man who had his eyes closed resting became interested and smiled fiercely, "Hmm!"
Seeing him respond, the girl swallowed and continued, "If there was an opportunity in front of you that could make you a lot of money, you wouldn't refuse it, right?"
Baru's lips tightened, and he gave a wicked smile. "Not bad, you already knew how to find a way for your man to make money on the first day? Don't worry, I can support you!"
Looking at his evil, half-smiled expression, Nanxi suppressed her anger and said, "I'm serious. I'm not kidding you!"
The man stood up and leaned against the back of the bed. "Well, tell me about it. What a big deal!"
The girl clenched the edge of her black T-shirt tightly with her fingers and gritted her teeth. "If you take me back to the Water Bay Villas in Mandalay, my brother will give you a lot of money!"
The man's smiling eyes suddenly turned cold and bottomless as he stared at her delicate eyebrows. When a dragon fighting in the jungle and the murderous aura around it was not concealed, it was not something a delicate girl could withstand.
Nanxi felt like her breathing had stopped. He hadn't opened his mouth to say anything yet, but the coldness around him was enough to make her hair stand on end.
Suddenly, the rough tiger's mouth covered with calluses clamped her chin fiercely, pinching her cheek so hard that it hurt, and the pinched area instantly turned red.
"Don't play tricks on me," he said through his teeth, his eyes frightening, "I don't like it, understand?"
Her face was pinched so hard that it hurt, and terror swept over her body. This man was too scary. Tears of rationality filled the girl's eyes.
The slippery liquid flowed from the tiger's mouth to the back of the hand. The man finally regained some consciousness and let go.
Looking at the obvious red marks on her cheeks, his handsome brows furrowed deeply, and he became even more irritated.
He walked two steps to the shelf, picked up a can of beer, opened the pull ring, tilted his head back and drank it in one gulp. Not feeling it was not enough, he drank another can before he suppressed the nameless anger in his chest. He flattened the can and threw it to the door, then sat back on the bed.
"What's your name?"
I only heard the man call her Luanluan that night, and I still don’t know her full name.
The frightened girl sitting on the bed came to her senses and reluctantly opened her mouth, "Nan... Nanxi!"
Baru was stunned. Nanxi? Then why did that man call her Luanluan? Was it her nickname?
"My name is Balu!" he said in a deep voice.
"This is a phonetic translation of the local dialect. My name literally translates to 'evil dragon', and my brother thought it sounded too ominous, so he just called me Balu according to the local dialect pronunciation."
