Chapter 92: Why do you need face? You need a wife

The sky is clear and the breeze is not dry.

The green lawn of the villa was covered with a thick moisture-proof blanket and a sunshade was hung above the head. Nanxi sat underneath and carefully braided the hair on Nannan's head into pigtails and tied small bows at the bottom.

Nan Nan was raised by Baru to be lazy and fat. He lay there with no desire to live and let her torment him.

Balu sat aside and studied the map and battle route for an entire afternoon.

They each did their own thing. Occasionally, Balu looked up at the little woman beside him, then lowered his head to concentrate on his own things. When the two of them were together, even if they didn't say a word, they felt at ease and satisfied, relaxed and warm in their hearts.

For dinner, the servant prepared Burmese food and brought it over. Nanxi took a few bites and then started to feed Nannan.

"Baby, don't give it the fried rice, it's too oily." Baru pressed his temple and spoke while looking at Nan Nan's painful expression.

"It's so big now, it can eat some of these things. Eating only cat food is not nutritionally balanced." Nanxi took a spoon, opened Nan Nan's mouth and stuffed another spoonful in.

Balu felt a little sympathetic towards their future offspring.

Just as he was about to speak again, the phone in his trouser pocket rang. It was the voice of his trusted confidant, Boha.

"Brother Lu, Minbozan has taken the bait and is fighting with the men from the Sixth Infantry Battalion on the outskirts of the city, but I smell something wrong."

Baru's dark eyes completely lost their previous warmth and relaxation, and were filled with a strong chill. "What's wrong with this?"

"Our intelligence shows that Minbozan's tactics and weapons are relatively conventional, even outdated. However, this time, they engaged in a fierce battle, using advanced weapons and precise targeting. They immediately used mortars to hit the infantry battalion's weapons depot. It's like they have foresight and vision, even seeing through the infantry battalion's flanking feints. It's really weird."

Baru pursed his lips and said, "Didn't you check if there were any rats?"

"We've checked. Commander Wu's secretariat called and said they've confirmed it over and over again, but there's nothing. Brother Lu, what should we do now? It's very likely that Angsu will persuade other armed groups to open fire tomorrow. If everything goes wrong, it will be difficult to explain to the commander."

"Let the people in the fifth battalion prepare to attack the reinforcements and see what happens next." Baru hung up the phone, his handsome eyebrows furrowed, and he pursed his lips without saying a word.

Nanxi glanced at him and let go of Nannan.

"What's wrong? Are you suddenly unhappy?" Her voice was very soft, like a gentle breeze.

"Nothing, just go and have fun with the war." He squeezed her palm and forced a smile.

"Is this battle difficult to fight?" she asked casually.

"Aung Suu instigated a firefight between local armed forces and government forces. Originally, the situation was under control, but the enemy suddenly increased their fighting power, which made it difficult for the people below to cope."

"Are they using cheats?" Nanxi asked curiously, still in a calm tone.

The speaker may not mean it, but the listener may take it seriously.

"It's hard to say." Baru's dark eyes flashed with a glint, "Otherwise, there's no way to explain their sudden increase in strength."

Aung Su? This Aung Su again.

Nanxi was lost in thought. She took out her cell phone and read the information about Angsu's life, social relations and experiences that the private detective had sent her before.

"Balu, his son is studying for a doctorate in Country Y, and the whole family except Angsu is in Country Y." Nanxi handed him the phone.

Baru looked at it and said, "You mean—"

"I used to often listen to my grandfather talk about history and military affairs. Country Y's military technology is considered to be among the top ten in the world. It's much more advanced than yours. Wars nowadays are different from those in the past. Technology determines success or failure."

Baru frowned and scratched his head. "I know, but knowing is one thing, and this can't be solved in a short time."

"Grandpa used to drink tea with his staff, and I would sit beside them, make tea for them, and listen to their conversation." Nanxi stepped forward, took Balu's hand, and seemed to be thinking.

"I heard from them that all of Country Y's weapons and equipment, as well as their satellite systems, rely on sunlight for analysis. This technology is different from China's integrated aperture radar and electronic band radar, and it has obvious shortcomings."

Baru suddenly became excited, his dark eyes blazing as he looked at the little woman in front of him. "You mean, as long as there's no sunlight, they're blind? No matter how advanced their skills are, they won't be able to do anything?"

"In theory, that's true." Nanxi hesitated a little, "But I'm not sure. I only heard grandpa and the others say so."

The man cupped her face in his large hands, pressed her lips into a round "O" shape, and kissed her fiercely. "That's enough, honey. We'll know if it works after we've thrown a few more."

He jumped up from the ground excitedly, picked up the phone and dialed.

"Boha, listen up! Have the Sixth Battalion withdraw, break up into smaller units, and rest for three hours. Wait for my orders after dark."

After Baru finished the call, he told Nanxi to stay at home and not go anywhere, then he picked up his gun and went out with his men.

Nanxi looked at his back as he ran away. He was tall and strong, like a hard steel nail, standing between heaven and earth. Suddenly, she remembered a line of poetry: The silver saddle shines on the white horse, and its steps are as swift as shooting stars.

He really has the vigor and courage of a young man, which makes people unable to take their eyes off him.

Balu returned to the villa at five in the morning of the next day.

He quickly took a shower in the guest room and crawled naked into Nanxi's bed.

His body was still damp with moisture, and his hair was hastily wiped half dry. As soon as he lay down, Nanxi was awakened by him and was so angry that she almost exploded on the spot.

"Baru—" She kicked him with tears in her eyes, "Can you go sleep somewhere else in the middle of the night and not wake me up? I really hate you..."
