Chapter 104 The Baby in the Womb Protests (2/2)

"With me here, there's nothing to be afraid of." His hand continued to gently circle her lower abdomen. "There will be more scenes like this in the future. You are my wife, Lu Linchuan's wife, and you should stand by my side and enjoy all of this."

His words were calm, yet carried an undeniable power.

Su Wantang's heart felt as if it had been gently bumped by something, a mixture of sourness and tenderness.

Just then, her stomach suddenly moved.

A clear little footprint, through his belly, landed squarely in Lu Linchuan's palm.

Lu Linchuan's hand suddenly froze.

He lowered his head, staring intently at the area covered by his palm, as if trying to see through his belly to the little one inside.

"He...he kicked me?" His voice was filled with a mixture of surprise and disbelief.

"Hmm," Su Wantang said with a smile, "It probably heard you speaking and was greeting you."

As soon as he finished speaking, another small bump appeared on the other side and moved mischievously.

A smile slowly bloomed on Lu Linchuan's face.

It wasn't the polite, restrained smile one gives in public, but a genuine, heartfelt smile, tinged with a touch of silliness and pure joy. The sharpness and depth in his eyes vanished in that moment, leaving only the tenderness of a husband and father.

He leaned down, carefully pressed his ear to Su Wantang's belly, and whispered, "Little ones, I'm your dad. Be good in there, and don't bother your mom, understand?"

His voice was deep and gentle, and his warm breath tickled my belly.

Su Wantang's heart was filled to the brim by this heartwarming scene.

She reached out and gently stroked his soft, short hair.

Lu Linchuan listened for a while before straightening up, the smile still lingering in his eyes. He massaged the oil into her skin until it was fully absorbed, then took a thin blanket from the side and carefully covered her up.

"Go to sleep." He lay back down beside her and pulled her into his arms.

This time, his breathing was much more even, and his embrace was simply one of warmth and protection.

Su Wantang snuggled closer to him, finding a comfortable spot, and was about to close her eyes.

A deep, husky voice, tinged with a hint of amusement, suddenly rang out above her head.

"Wife, I'm going to collect that debt from you, with interest, once the babies are born."

His voice wasn't loud, but it was like an electric current, instantly coursing through Su Wantang's entire body.

Her face flushed instantly, redder than ever before.

The pleasant scent of soapberry mixed with her burning body temperature enveloped Su Wantang like a net, completely enveloping her.

Listening to his suppressed yet still heavy breathing, feeling the taut lines of his muscles, she didn't back down at all; instead, she felt a corner of her heart being filled.

This man gave her all his restraint and tenderness.

Su Wantang couldn't help but smile, a hint of slyness in her eyes. She stretched out her finger and gently drew circles on his firm chest, her voice soft and sweet: "Lu Linchuan, you're such a fool."

Lu Linchuan grabbed her mischievous hand, enveloping it in his warm palm, and sighed helplessly, his voice still hoarse: "If you don't sleep soon, the two little ones in your belly will start to protest."

As soon as he finished speaking, Su Wantang's stomach suddenly bulged out as if to prove his words, clearly visible through her thin pajamas.

"Oh, it's actually protesting!" Su Wantang was both surprised and delighted, looking down at her belly. (This chapter has been read. Please click to continue reading the next chapter!)
