Chapter 16: Fight against the scumbag! (1/4)

"Then why not seize the day and set off to find the treasure right now?" Song Qiang looked at Su Wantang excitedly.

He could already imagine the wealthy days of the future beckoning him, and the thought of living such a life of extravagance made Song Qiang's eyes light up with excitement.

“But it’s broad daylight now. It would be too conspicuous for the two of us to go looking for treasure. We’ll attract the attention of those with ulterior motives.” Su Wantang glanced at the bright sky outside, a hint of difficulty on her pretty face. “Brother Song Qiang, why don’t we wait until it gets dark before we go?”

"You're right, you've thought of everything." Song Qiang nodded. He had been so excited that he had overlooked this. "Then let's wait until tonight to set off. There are fewer people at night, and no one will notice us."

"There's so much treasure, it's hard for just the two of us to carry it all back. I need to hire a car. After we empty the treasure cave, we can put all the treasures in the car and then haul it back," Song Qiang planned, getting more and more excited. "Then wait for me at home, I'll go rent a car right now!"

"Okay, you've worked hard." Su Wantang smiled, tilting her head, but the smile seemed a bit eccentric.

Song Qiang wasn't sure if it was just his imagination, but he felt that Su Wantang's gaze was a little unsettling, even creepy.

When he blinked, trying to see clearly Su Wantang's bright and shy face, he saw that she was now smiling innocently, her face bright, charming, obedient, and soft.

Song Qiang glanced at Su Wantang's face a few more times before snapping out of his reverie. "Then wait for me, I'm leaving now!"

"Okay, I'll wait for you to come back."

And so, Su Wantang watched Song Qiang get up and leave until his figure completely disappeared from her sight.

The time that Song Qiang was away made it convenient for me to take care of some business.

Next, Su Wantang should prepare a big gift for Song Qiang.

Su Wantang's smile deepened.

...

As evening fell, darkness enveloped the earth, and the sky was dotted with stars. Cicadas chirped incessantly, and frogs croaked in the distance.

At nine o'clock in the evening, Song Qiang pulled a tricycle and drove over here.

"Wantang!" Song Qiang called out in a low voice, "I've rented an oxcart, let's hurry and find the treasure cave!"

“But it’s too dark, I’m scared.” Su Wantang glanced at the sky outside and said hesitantly, “It’s so far, so dark, and there are mosquitoes on the road. I don’t want to go.”

Song Qiang gritted his teeth; this spoiled brat's temper was flaring up again.

"If you don't go, how am I supposed to find the treasure?" Song Qiang suppressed his impatience. He realized something, and his eyes lit up. "Why don't you give me the location of the treasure cave, and I'll find it myself?"

"Okay then, I'll stay home and wait for you peacefully." Su Wantang smiled gently, her smile innocent, harmless, pure, and beautiful.

"Okay!" Song Qiang nodded. "Then give me the address quickly!"

"The address is here." Su Wantang took out a map from her pocket, and marked the exact location with a red pen. "It's right here."

Song Qiang's eyes lit up, and he quickly put the treasure map into his pocket. "Alright, then wait for me, I'm going right now!"

"Okay." Su Wantang smiled as she watched Song Qiang leave, her dark almond-shaped eyes filled with coldness.

Suppressing the darkness in his heart, Song Qiang pushed the tricycle uphill with all his might.

Go, go.

She had prepared a surprise for him there.

...

Song Qiang excitedly rode his tricycle all the way into the deep mountains.

Following the directions on the treasure map, he arrived at a cave.

“This is it…” Song Qiang pushed aside the large patch of green vines in front of him and saw a green stone archway hidden beneath them. His eyes lit up with excitement.

It seems Su Wantang really didn't lie to him!

He could almost see a huge treasure beckoning to him!
