Chapter 27 I'm going to report her! (4/4)

Lu Linchuan sat on the sofa, his long legs slightly apart, his whole demeanor cold and aloof. He frowned and said, "So many things have happened in your family recently."

“Yes.” Su Wantang nodded, but her face remained expressionless. “What Zhang Hongwei and his wife did is outrageous. I have already published a notice in the newspaper severing ties with them. From now on, they have nothing to do with me.”

A guess arose in Lu Linchuan's heart. The man looked at her with complicated emotions in his deep, dark eyes, "Their family has encountered trouble in such a short time... Does this have anything to do with you?"

"Are you doubting me?" Su Wantang raised her dark, sparkling eyes and glared at him with some dissatisfaction.

"No," Lu Linchuan denied, "it's just a soldier's intuition."

"But I don't blame you. Their family has done many evil deeds, and they deserve their current fate."

The man's deep, magnetic voice was somewhat sexy, "On the contrary, you did very well."

As he spoke, the man took the teacup that Su Wantang had poured for him with his long, slender fingers, brought it to his nose and smelled it. The tea had a delicate and mellow fragrance.

It is a very good tea.

The man lowered his eyes and took a small bite with his thin lips.

The refreshing aroma of tea lingers on the lips and teeth.

It tastes great.

Whether it was his imagination or not, just by drinking this one sip of tea, Lu Linchuan felt that the fatigue from the long journey over the past few days had been relieved by more than half, and he felt refreshed.

Lu Linchuan drank the entire cup of tea.

Su Wantang's slight dissatisfaction vanished instantly, and she smiled gently, "As long as you're on my side, that's fine."

“You are my fiancée, so naturally I’m on your side.” The man looked at Su Wantang with gentle eyes. “Tangtang, your tea-making skills have improved a lot. It’s delicious.”

"Since it tastes good, then drink some more." Su Wantang's slender white fingers gripped the teapot handle, and she poured him another cup of tea.

"You trusted your uncle's family so much before because they treated you badly, so you turned against them?" Lu Linchuan's deep, dark eyes fell on Su Wantang. He was worried that Su Wantang had not been doing well all these years.

Su Wantang nodded. "I was too young before to see their true colors. I was so naive to think they were genuinely good to me."

“That day, I went to the supply and marketing cooperative to buy things and accidentally stumbled upon the three of them plotting to get the whereabouts of our Su family’s treasure cave from me. They said that once they got our family’s property, I would be of no use to them and they would kill me.” Su Wantang chuckled self-deprecatingly. “I had always treated them like family, but at that moment I realized that they had never considered me one of their own. In their eyes, I was just a valuable pawn… Their kindness towards me was only to plot for the property left by my parents. Once I was no longer of use to them, they would ruthlessly get rid of me.”

She couldn't tell Lu Linchuan about her rebirth, so she could only tell him in this half-truthful way.

"They are simply beasts!" Lu Linchuan's eyes were sharp and cold. His slender fingers gripped the teacup tightly, and with a crisp crack, the teacup shattered into pieces in his hand.

A chilling aura enveloped the man's handsome face. (This chapter has been read. Please click to continue reading the next chapter!)
