"Your grandson is sleeping so soundly," Su Wantang said pointedly. "He doesn't even wake up with all this noise?"
The old woman's expression changed, and she instinctively hugged the child tighter: "Children...they sleep very soundly..."
"Is that so?" Su Wantang sneered. "It doesn't seem like he's sleeping soundly; it seems more like..."
"Like what?" the old man interrupted her, his tone fierce but his voice weak.
Su Wantang didn't continue, "You outnumber me and I can't argue with you. I'm going to get my man to stand up for me! This isn't over between us!"
After saying that, she pushed through the crowd and quickly went to find Lu Linchuan.
Lu Linchuan was not far away and witnessed the entire scene.
Su Wantang quickly walked to Lu Linchuan's side, her expression solemn, "Linchuan."
She grabbed his arm, her nails almost digging into his flesh.
"The child definitely has a problem."
“We were arguing so loudly, but the two kids didn’t react at all.”
"They were given drugs."
Su Wantang spoke slowly and deliberately, her voice icy cold.
"Those old people are definitely human traffickers."
Lu Linchuan's eyes instantly sharpened like an eagle's.
Without a doubt, he immediately stood up and said, "You sit here and wait, I'll go call the train conductor."
Soon, a train attendant followed Lu Linchuan and walked over quickly, with two train police officers behind him.
The atmosphere in the carriage froze instantly.
The police officer walked straight toward the elderly couple.
"Comrade, please show your identification documents and your child's identification."
The old woman, holding the child, avoided eye contact. "We...we left in a hurry and didn't bring..."
"Didn't bring it?"
The train police officer's tone became stern, "Then please come with us and cooperate with the investigation."
Upon hearing that he was to go with them, the old man suddenly sprang into action.
He shoved the child in his arms into the old woman's arms and then turned and rushed towards the connecting area between the carriages like a madman.
"Trying to run?"
Lu Linchuan was prepared and took a step forward. Before anyone could see how he moved, there was a muffled "bang".
The old man who tried to escape had been kicked in the back of the knee and was forced to kneel on the ground. Lu Linchuan held him down by the back of the neck, making him unable to move.
On the other side, the old woman, holding two children, screamed with a ferocious expression, and was subdued by two other train police officers.
The train police officers carefully took the child from them. One of them checked the child's breath and then looked at the child's eyes. His expression changed drastically.
"Oh no! The child has been given a large amount of sleeping pills! We must get out of the car and take him to the hospital immediately!"
Everything has settled down.
The two human traffickers, handcuffed, were being led around like two dead dogs.
The railway police captain walked up to Lu Linchuan and Su Wantang and gave them a solemn salute.
"Comrades, thank you so much this time!"
"If it weren't for your quick thinking, these two children's lives would have been ruined."
His tone was full of lingering fear and gratitude.
