Chapter 50 We won't let her get away with this! (1/4)

Su Wantang mailed these items to Wei Juan, who was in Shanghai.

"How long will it take for this package to arrive?" Su Wantang asked softly.

"About four days," the postman said.

"Okay, thank you." Su Wantang smiled lightly as she returned to the family compound.

There was hardly anyone at home at the moment, so Su Wantang went into the space.

She entered the villa within the space, went into the bathtub, and comfortably soaked in the spiritual spring water.

She developed the habit of drinking a cup of spiritual spring water every day and soaking in it daily. As a result, her skin became more and more translucent and her skin condition improved.

Su Wantang could sense that her body was getting healthier and healthier.

After taking a bath, Su Wantang stayed in the space and opened the books inside, studying them one by one.

Time flows much slower in this space than outside, which is why these books entered her mind one by one, and this medical knowledge was firmly imprinted in her mind, making her learn much faster than others.

At noon, Su Wantang was a little hungry.

She still had a lot of the boxed meals she bought from the state-run restaurant last time, and the space's preservation function was excellent. Since she was too lazy to cook, she could take those boxed meals out of the space, put them on a plate, and heat them up in the microwave in the space, just like she had cooked them herself.

bite--

The food in the microwave is ready.

Su Wantang took the food out of her spatial storage and placed it on a plate at home.

Su Wantang was waiting for Lu Linchuan to come back for lunch when an unusual commotion broke out in the courtyard.

It wasn't children chasing and playing after school, nor was it idle chatter about this or that. The noise was deeper and heavier, mixed with a few heavy breaths and commands.

"Slow down, slow down, move in!"

Lu Linchuan's deep, sensual voice came from outside the door.

Su Wantang stood up from the dining table and looked towards the door.

At the entrance to the courtyard, Lu Linchuan and two transport soldiers were unloading a huge wooden crate from a military truck. The crate was square and tightly secured with thick planks, and it looked quite heavy.

"Rinchuan, what is this?"

Lu Linchuan looked up and saw her, his forehead beaded with sweat, but a smile played on his lips. "You'll find out soon enough."

He simply directed people to carefully carry the box into the living room.

With a muffled thud, the box hit the ground, and the entire floor of the room seemed to tremble.

The soldier delivering the goods saluted and said with a smile, "Sister-in-law, Battalion Commander Lu really dotes on you; this is some good stuff!"

After saying that, she followed Lu Linchuan out to complete the formalities.

Su Wantang was left alone, staring blankly at the wooden box that was even bigger than her dining table.

These days, aside from the big items purchased for a wedding, who would bring home such a huge thing for no reason?

The neighbors had already been drawn by the commotion, and they all clung to the doorframe, craning their necks to look inside.

"Tang, what good stuff did your husband Lu bring back?" Aunt Zhang from next door was the boldest and was the first to come in.

"Yeah, yeah, such a big box, what's inside?"

"Could it be... a sewing machine?"

"Sewing machines don't come that big! I guess it's... a radio!"

Everyone chimed in with their guesses, their eyes gleaming with curiosity.

Su Wantang shook her head; she truly didn't know.

Just then, Lu Linchuan strode back, holding a crowbar in his hand.

He walked up to the wooden box, looked at the women gathered around it, and without keeping them in suspense, said to Su Wantang, "I bought this for you."
