Chapter 56 Rival in Love (1/4)

Lu Linchuan not only bought all kinds of vegetable seeds, but also brought back a brand new hoe and shovel.

"Lin Chuan, you're back!" Su Wantang quickly came to greet him.

"Have you had lunch?" Lu Linchuan asked. "I brought back some braised pork from the army, but buying these seeds took up time, so it's a bit cold now."

"I've already eaten," Su Wantang said. "I still have the porridge you made for me for breakfast. I was too lazy to cook lunch, so I ate it."

In fact, Su Wantang entered the space at noon and ate the lunchboxes she had previously stocked up on at the state-run restaurant.

There are still many left in the space, and they are kept fresh; she can eat a whole box in one sitting.

"I'll heat up some braised pork for you." Lu Linchuan carried the lunchbox into the restaurant. "You need to eat more meat to get enough nutrition."

“Linchuan,” Su Wantang grasped Lu Linchuan’s hand, “I’m full and not hungry anymore, don’t heat it up yet.”

"Eating too much is also bad."

"Okay." Lu Linchuan nodded. "I'll put it in the refrigerator for you. If you want to eat it, just heat it up."

"If you don't want to cook, I'll bring you dinner when I get back tonight."

"Okay." Su Wantang smiled slightly.

It feels good to be cared for and loved.

Lu Linchuan: "Didn't you want to grow vegetables? I bought some seeds and will plant them in your vegetable garden."

“It’s midday now, and the sun is so hot. Why don’t we plant them tonight?” Su Wantang said.

It was so hot that Lu Linchuan's face turned dark from the sun.

The man's wheat-colored face was slightly shiny from the sun, with a light bronze hue. This did not make his face look ugly; instead, it added a touch of wildness and mature masculine charm.

"No need," Lu Linchuan said gently. "I'm used to it. This little bit of work is nothing. You wait for me inside, and it will be planted soon."

Su Wantang wrapped her arm around Lu Linchuan's: "Then I'll go with you. I want to watch."

"Okay." Lu Linchuan was about to lead Su Wantang away from the living room—

"Wait for me, I'm going to get something." With that, Su Wantang went back to the bedroom and, out of Lu Linchuan's sight, took out two straw hats. She then took out a water cup and, out of Lu Linchuan's sight, filled it with spiritual spring water.

"I'm ready." With that, Su Wantang walked towards the door, put the straw hat on her head, and placed the other straw hat on the man's head.

The straw hats, one large and one small, fit perfectly.

"How is it? Is it suitable?" The woman smiled, her eyes gentle as she looked at the man in front of her.

"Mmm." The man gazed at her tenderly.

“I brought you water, let’s go farm,” Su Wantang said.

The two walked hand in hand into the yard, where Lu Linchuan moved a chair to a shady spot. "Sit here, it's not sunny here."

"Hmm." Su Wantang sat on a small chair in the courtyard, looking at the man beside her.

At this moment, the man walked to the open space in the center of the yard.

He found a military green towel, draped it around his neck, and with his long, strong hands gripping the hoe, began to cultivate the land in the yard.

It was midday, and the sun was blazing. At first, it was fine, but as Lu Linchuan began to dig deeper into the ground, sweat gradually streamed down his sharply defined jawline, leaving his handsome face covered in a dense layer of glistening sweat.

The man picked up a towel and started wiping himself, but the sweat kept pouring down his back. So he took off his army green vest and draped it over the railing next to the yard, revealing his strong and muscular upper body.
