The First People's Hospital of the city.
People came and went in the corridor, and the smell of disinfectant filled the air.
Su Wantang and Lu Linchuan sat on a bench, waiting for the results of the next round of tests.
The equipment here is indeed much more advanced than that of the military hospital, and the examinations are much more thorough.
Waiting time is always particularly agonizing.
Su Wantang's palms felt a little cold. Although she firmly believed that the child was healthy, that one in ten thousand chance was like a small thorn stuck in her heart.
A warm, dry hand covered the back of her hand.
"Don't be afraid." Lu Linchuan enveloped her hand in his palm. "The results aren't out yet, don't scare yourself."
He went and bought her a cup of warm milk, which she held in her hands.
"The doctor also said that there might have been errors in the previous tests. We trust the doctors here."
He constantly comforted her, building a wall for her to lean on with the most composed demeanor.
Su Wantang leaned on his shoulder, feeling the warmth and calming aura emanating from him, and the restlessness in her heart gradually subsided.
Yes, she has Lu Linchuan, and the spiritual spring water in her belly is her biggest trump card.
She shouldn't be afraid.
She should trust her own judgment and trust her children.
Just then, a nurse came out of the examination room with a report in her hand, her eyes scanning the corridor.
"Su Wantang?"
Lu Linchuan immediately stood up and helped Su Wantang up as well.
"we are."
The nurse approached them with the report, and Su Wantang's heart started racing.
"These are your test results." The nurse handed the report to Lu Linchuan.
Lu Linchuan took the report, his eyes quickly scanning the data. Su Wantang gripped his arm tightly, holding her breath.
"The fetus is developing normally, and all indicators are within the normal range." Lu Linchuan's voice trembled noticeably. "Wantang, the children are all healthy."
Su Wantang's eyes instantly welled up with tears, all her previous worries vanishing. She reached out and touched her belly, a warm feeling welling up inside her.
"I want to double-check," Lu Linchuan said excitedly, stopping the nurse who was about to leave. "Are you sure there are no problems with this report?"
The nurse looked puzzled: "Of course, no problem. Our equipment is state-of-the-art."
"Could the doctor explain this in more detail?" Lu Linchuan was still worried.
The nurse glanced at them, then turned to call the doctor. Soon, a middle-aged doctor came out.
"Do you have any questions?" The doctor took the report and glanced at it.
"Doctor, my wife is pregnant with twins. Can you confirm that both children are healthy?" Lu Linchuan asked.
"Of course we're sure. The ultrasound shows that both fetuses are normal in size, heart rate, and all developmental indicators," the doctor explained patiently.
"Could there be any genetic diseases? Or other hidden problems?" Lu Linchuan continued to press.
The doctor frowned: "We have done a full range of tests, including Down syndrome screening and various biochemical indicators, and the results are all normal."
"Then the accuracy of this report..."
"Sir, I've been practicing medicine for over twenty years, and this report can't possibly be wrong." The doctor's tone began to sound a little impatient. "If you're still not reassured, you can come back for a follow-up check in two weeks."
Lu Linchuan breathed a sigh of relief, thanked the doctor, and left the hospital with Su Wantang.
As they walked out of the hospital, Su Wantang finally couldn't help but laugh: "The way you were acting just now, the doctors were getting tired of asking you all sorts of questions."
