He leaned down and placed a precious kiss on her smooth forehead.
"Go to sleep. From now on, I'll be here for you."
That night, Su Wantang slept exceptionally well.
The next day, Lu Linchuan went to work early in the morning, with many tasks to be handed over and follow-up work waiting for him.
Su Wantang woke up naturally, had breakfast, and then decided to take a walk on the beach.
She walked out of the courtyard and locked the gate.
A section of the path leading out of the courtyard is paved with pebbles. Years of foot traffic and sea breeze erosion have made the surface of the stones very rough, making them slip-resistant and easy to walk on.
Su Wantang didn't think much of it and stepped onto it as usual.
But just as her foot touched the ground, she felt a strange, slippery sensation on the sole of her foot!
"ah!"
She gasped, instantly losing her balance and falling backward. In a split second, her only thought was to protect her stomach!
She instinctively braced herself with her elbows, but the force of the impact still caused her lower back to slam heavily against another protruding rock!
Excruciating pain!
A sharp pain came from my lower back and abdomen at the same time, like countless needles pricking me.
Su Wantang felt a sharp pain that made her vision blur, and cold sweat instantly soaked her back. She could clearly feel a warm current surging from below her.
My child... my child...
A huge panic gripped her heart. With trembling hands, she pulled out a bottle containing the spiritual spring water from her spatial storage and desperately gulped down several mouthfuls.

Fortunately, a military wife who had gotten up early to go to the beach heard the commotion, ran over to take a look, and was immediately terrified.

"Where?!" He jumped up, knocking the chair over with a loud thud.
"He's already been taken to the hospital emergency room!"
Lu Linchuan dashed out like a gust of wind, his blood seemingly freezing in that instant. His mind was blank, only one thought echoing repeatedly—
Tangtang can't be hurt, the child can't be hurt!
He rushed to the emergency room entrance and saw several military doctors pushing Su Wantang out. She was lying on the hospital bed, her face as white as paper and her lips bloodless.
"How is she?!" Lu Linchuan grabbed the leading military doctor, whose eyes, which could strike fear into the enemy on the battlefield, were now bloodshot, and whose hands were trembling uncontrollably.
The military doctor was startled and quickly said, "Commander Lu, don't worry! Your wife and child are safe! It's a miracle. They were in critical condition when they were brought in, but her constitution is amazing, and she recovered quickly. She's out of danger now."
