She could almost see how her uncle struggled to get into school despite his impoverished family background, and how he worked hard to learn.
These are his past medals of honor, and the paths he has walked.
"This is a collective first-class merit award we received for participating in a scientific research project."
"And this..."
Qin Tian introduced each of the honors one by one; these cold, hard honors were his only solace and pride over the past few decades. His life, apart from scientific research, consisted of these solitary medals.
Su Wantang listened quietly. She could sense that behind these honors lay countless years of arduous struggle.
My uncle also had a very difficult time.
“Uncle, you’ve worked so hard all these years.” Su Wantang said with slightly red eyes, “If Grandpa, Grandma, and Mom and Dad could know this in the afterlife, they would be so happy and gratified to see how successful you are.”
His uncle was switched at birth, he came from a poor family, and he had a father who was addicted to gambling and drinking. With such a terrible family background, it is already very impressive and powerful that he was able to make a name for himself.
"Tell me about your grandparents and your mother." Qin Tian turned around, looked at Su Wantang, and said with heartache.
He was switched at birth and doesn't know what his real family members are like.
The three of them sat back down on the sofa.
Su Wantang's eyes reddened slightly.

"That's good..." Qin Tian said, looking at Su Wantang with complicated emotions. "You lost your parents at such a young age, how have you been living all these years?"
“It was my fake uncle who came to my door, saying he wanted to take care of me. Qin Tian clenched his fists, his knuckles turning white from the force. He couldn't imagine how a ten-year-old child could face all of this alone.
"You've suffered, Wan Tang." He looked at her with reddened eyes.
If he hadn't been switched at the beginning, he, as Wan Tang's uncle, could have taken care of her when she lost her parents.
She won't have to suffer so much anymore.
Qin Tian turned around and took out something wrapped in cloth from the drawer. He opened it and found a bankbook.
"Wantang, this is a gift from your uncle. The password is 888999. It's not much money, but take it for now. If you need anything in the future, just let your uncle know."
Su Wantang opened it and saw that there was 20,000 yuan inside.
This was almost all of my uncle's life savings.
"Uncle, this is too much, I can't accept it." She quickly returned the passbook.
"Take it! My niece, Qin Tian's niece, can't suffer any more injustice!" Qin Tian's tone left no room for refusal as he forcefully shoved the bankbook into her hand. "You've suffered all these years. Consider this money your uncle is making it up to you."
