After finishing their meal and resting for a while, Yu Yin and the others went to visit Grandpa and Grandma Lu. They went straight back to the guesthouse that night and would come back tomorrow.
My second sister's husband saw them off, saying they would go see the house after breakfast the next day.
When they arrived at Grandpa's house, Pingping still remembered, but An'an didn't.
"Grandpa, Grandma, we're back!" Lu Shurui called out as he knocked on the door.
"Here it is, who is it?" Grandpa Lu's voice came from outside.
"Grandpa, I am Shurui."
"Great-Grandpa, it's me, An'an." An'an is always there for him, she said eagerly.
"Snap." The door opened.
"Grandpa, we're back!" Lu Shurui said excitedly. He was most worried about his grandparents, but now they were finally back.
"Come in, come in, everyone." Grandpa was very happy, knowing they were coming back, and he was still very excited to see them.
Inside the house, Grandma stood at the door, looking around, tears streaming down her face.
"Great-Grandma, An'an misses you." An'an chattered on and on, breaking the dull atmosphere.
"Oh, great-grandmother missed you all too. Come on, great-grandmother will get you some treats." The old lady was in good health and nimbly went to get the treats.
Several children surrounded their great-grandmother, who was all smiles and had a kind face.
"They arrived today?" Grandpa Lu was overjoyed. All three children had done well on their exams; every old neighbor was envious.
"Yes, I arrived at noon. I had lunch at my second sister's place before coming here." Lu Shurui looked at her aging grandfather, her heart filled with mixed emotions.
After chatting about everyday things, without even having a meal, Lu Shurui and the others returned to the guesthouse, as it was too late to leave.
"I must find a suitable house tomorrow," Yu Yin prayed silently in her heart.
