Chapter 142 School Registration, New Roommate

She had imagined countless times that her parents would take her to school, even just once, but it never happened, and this was a regret in her life.

The mother and her two children walked along the road, the children walking in twos and threes, and there were no parents who came to see them off.

Goodbye, Mom!

After finishing their conversation peacefully, they entered the school gate and headed towards the classroom. Yu Yin felt much more at ease, perhaps because this moment had finally come true, even though their identities were different now.

When they got home, Lu Shurui was already back and had taken the two younger children to daycare.

"The luggage is all here. We'll just rest for a while at noon. We brought a set of bedding, toiletries, and a water cup. That's all." Lu Shurui had already strapped the things to the back seat of the car.

"Okay, just take whatever you need next time, it's close by."

"Grandpa and Grandma, we've gone to school to drop off our luggage. Sister Ma should be here soon."

After Yu Yin gave her instructions and heard her grandmother's reply, the two of them went out.

First, we went to Yu Yin's dormitory, which was on the third floor, room 323.

Yu Yin knocked on the door and went inside carrying her things.

Everyone in the room turned around to look at the last student to report.

"Hello everyone, I am Yu Yin from the Accounting Department."

After saying hello, and seeing that there was still an unfilled upper bunk, Yu Yin put her things on it.

"Why did you take so long to arrive? Is this all the food you have?" The speaker was a girl in her early twenties with a round face, round eyes, and a plump figure.

“My home is nearby. My child is young, so I don’t live at school. I just rest for a while at noon,” Yu Yin said truthfully as she climbed up and laid out her mattress.

"Ah? How wonderful! I'm already homesick!" The round-faced girl's voice betrayed her envy. She was a pampered child and quite attached to her home.

"Now that we have all of you, let's get to know each other. My name is Qi Wei, I'm from Yangcheng, I'm 29 years old, married with children." As soon as the older woman spoke, Yu Yin recognized her voice—she was from the same hometown!

"Wang Wenwen, 19 years old, from Suzhou."

"Xu Weihong, 23 years old, from Beijing."

"Zheng Yue, 20 years old, from Inner Mongolia."

"Su Liu, 18 years old, from Hangzhou."

"Yang Xiaomei, 20 years old, from Sichuan."

Including Yu Yin, there are seven people in total, and that concludes the introductions.

“There’s another local classmate who went home yesterday and hasn’t come yet,” Comrade Qi Wei added.

On their first meeting, Yu Yin didn't say much. She made the bed and left because she had to come back for a class meeting that evening.

I'll go home and check on Sister Ma first. I can get to know my classmates later; there's no rush.
