Chapter 149 The Problem of Children Losing Their Teeth

Raising a child means worrying about them until you're a hundred!

Yu Yin is currently worried because Pingping and An'an are already over eight years old, but why haven't they lost their baby teeth yet?

She remembered that children usually start losing their baby teeth at six or seven years old, but Ping An was already eight years old and there was no sign of losing any baby teeth at all.

Anxious and worried, Yu Yin and Lu Shurui took Ping An to the children's hospital. The doctor said the child was healthy and had no problems.

The reason the baby hasn't lost any baby teeth is because the baby was born prematurely and didn't have enough baby teeth in the womb.

Yu Yin hadn't expected this reason. When Ping An was born, she was so thin and small that it seemed like she wouldn't survive. Although she had been nourished by the spiritual spring water over the years and had largely recovered, some subtle details still showed that she had been born with health problems.

"I'm relieved now. The doctor said it was because of the premature birth, and the children are very healthy now. It's only a matter of time before they start losing their baby teeth," Lu Shurui comforted Yu Yin. These days, Yu Yin had been very anxious and irritable because of the children's teething issues.

"Mom, don't worry, I feel perfectly healthy."

"I also feel very healthy."

Pingping and An'an comforted their mother, saying that they really felt they were very healthy and could run and jump without getting out of breath.

With the doctor's assurance and the children's good behavior, Yu Yin gradually felt relieved.

It's almost the end of August, and school will start in a few days. The long summer vacation is about to end.

After the start of the new school year, Ping An will be in the third grade.

Yu Yin and Lu Shurui are also sophomores. This is a special cohort. They started school in the spring, and their first year of university ended after only half a year. They will be sophomores when school starts again.

Kuai Kuai and Man Man still go to daycare; they still have some time before starting first grade.

Although they have now mastered many new characters and basic addition and subtraction.

However, Yu Yin still wanted them to attend school in an orderly manner and learn with children their own age, rather than trying to skip grades. She believed that doing so would make it difficult to get along with classmates much older than themselves, and they would become lonely.

In life, studying and going to university are not everything; they are just a means to acquire knowledge and social status.

Yu Yin hopes that her child's life will be colorful, happy, and relaxing, rather than just studying, studying, and studying some more.

Sitting in the classroom again, looking at her classmates who were both familiar and unfamiliar, Yu Yin felt that time was running out.

"Yu Yin, go back to the dormitory at noon." Zheng Yue came over and patted Yu Yin on the shoulder.

"I understand, I get it." Yu Yin asked Zheng Yue to bring some dried meat and cheese, and if there was any, she would also like a wolfskin rug.

As soon as the bell rang, Yu Yin and Zheng Yue ran to the cafeteria to get their food and then ran back to their dormitory.

"I haven't been fighting for food in so long, I'm out of energy!"

"I'm fine. I spent the summer riding horses and herding livestock, so my stamina is much better than yours." Zheng Yue loves their grasslands and riding horses and herding livestock. She plans to go back after graduation.

Although they are required to return to their hometowns to work after graduation, it's not impossible to try. Zheng Yue, however, is determined to go back; she is eager to return home.

"Would you like to eat first or look around first?"

Yu Yin was anxious to see what was there.

"Let's take a look first. The food is just a few dishes, so it won't matter whether we eat it first or later."

Zheng Yue pulled a large burlap sack from under the bed, dusted it off, and gestured to Yu Yin, "Everything you wanted is in here, see if it's okay?"

Yu Yin opened the drawer and pulled out a mattress. "Wow, it really is wolfskin! Sister, you're awesome, thanks!"

Below was a large oil paper package, from which a strong, pungent smell wafted out.

Open it, and you'll find authentic beef jerky.

There's also a bag of cheese, and below that are some local specialties.

"I didn't keep a single penny of the money you gave me; I used it all to buy supplies for you," Zheng Yue said, handing Yu Yin a piece of paper with a list of the items she had purchased.

Yu Yin took it and looked at it. It was really cheap, worth it.

"Little sister, whenever you have a day off, I'll treat you to something delicious. Order whatever you like." These things weren't light, and Yu Yin was very grateful.

"Then I'll have to think about it carefully and have a good meal."

The two chatted and laughed as they packed their things.

"Eat quickly, and I'll take the food back to your house after you finish. It's not safe to leave it in the dorm." Zheng Yue had been on tenterhooks all morning, worrying about someone entering the dorm or a thief or something.

"Okay, right away."

After finishing their meal, without even washing their lunchboxes, the two of them carried their things out of the dormitory, found Yu Yin's bicycle, and put it on the back seat.

Yu Yin pushed the cart in front, while Zheng Yue held it from behind. Fortunately, Yu Yin's house was nearby, and they arrived in no time.

"Mom, what's in your car?" An'an suddenly appeared out of nowhere, startling Yu Yin.

"An'an, this is Mom's classmate, Aunt Zheng."

"Hello Aunt Zheng, I'm Lu Xiangwan, Yu Yin's daughter. Welcome to my home." An'an introduced herself playfully.

"You naughty boy, where's your brother?"

Yu Yin was quite surprised not to see Pingping.

“I went next door with my great-grandmother. They’re fighting again and they’re asking the neighbors to settle the matter. My brother was afraid of running into my great-grandmother, so he went with Aunt Ma.” An’an also wanted to go see what was going on, but she was afraid that her great-grandfather wouldn’t be able to find her when he came back.

Yu Yin took out the beef jerky, gave An An a handful, and let her try it.

Zheng Yue helped Yu Yin carry the things upstairs. Just as they put them down, they heard An'an shouting from downstairs, "Mommy, I lost a tooth!"

Which tooth is missing?

Yu Yin didn't even care about Zheng Yue anymore; she quickly ran down to see which tooth it was.
