Chapter 209 Grandpa Lu and Grandma Lu officially move into Yu Yin's house

The next day, Yu Yin and Lu Shurui arrived at their grandparents' house early.

"Alright, everything's packed up. You can handle the rest as you see fit."

The old man tidied it up himself; he packed up all their usual things.

"Grandpa and Grandma, we brought breakfast. Have some first. My brother-in-law will be here in a bit, so there's no rush."

Yu Yin put out the breakfast and then helped her grandmother to the toilet again, though they actually used a basin to catch the stool. Her grandmother was not used to it. Yu Yin remembered the simple toilet she had made for her second brother and thought she could ask Brother Zhang to make one. She still missed her old uncle's bamboo weaving skills.

After helping Grandma wash up, the two elderly people ate breakfast, and Grandpa Lu urged Lu Shurui to go and transfer the property. Yu Yin waited at home for her second brother-in-law to come over so she could pack her things and leave.

"It's done so quickly?"

Shu Rui and his grandfather were the first to return; Yu Yin hadn't expected them to be so quick.

"There's no one here. We'll take care of it when we get there and put it away for you."

Yu Yin took the property certificate from Lu Shurui and put it in her bag. At that moment, the sound of a loudspeaker blared outside the door.

"Is everything packed?"

My second brother-in-law pushed the door open and came in. He had something come up and was late.

"It's all packed up, just load it onto the truck."

"Thank you for troubling Cheng Qian again. Did you take leave to come over?"

Grandpa Lu felt that the two children he had raised were of good character, and he always had to trouble them.

"Grandpa, why are you being so polite with me? Isn't this what I should do? Shuxia said she'll bring the children to visit you after she's rested."

"Okay, you guys go ahead and get busy."

With everyone working together, they quickly finished moving everything. Lu Shurui helped his grandmother into the driver's seat, and then helped his grandfather in as well. He and Yu Yin got into the back of the truck and headed home together.

"Come on, Grandma, be careful, hold onto my neck."

Lu Shurui carefully carried his grandmother down to the bedroom on the first floor. Aunt Hu had thoroughly cleaned the place yesterday and prepared everything. Second brother-in-law and Uncle Hu carried things down together, and Yu Yin followed them into the house to settle in.

After everything was tidied up, the two elderly people were tired and went to rest.

After seeing his second brother-in-law off and talking to Uncle Hu and Aunt Hu, Lu Shurui rushed back to work at the shipyard.

Yu Yin's workplace isn't busy; she'll go to work tomorrow.

"Aunt Hu, I'm going to the shop. Please keep an eye on Grandpa and Grandma. I might not be back for lunch, so please eat when it's time and don't wait for me."

"I understand, Yu Yin, don't worry."

Yu Yin left home and went to the dried goods store to check the sales figures after the New Year. She also needed Huang Shan's help to contact Brother Zhang to make a simple toilet for her grandmother.

Business was alright right after the New Year; it hadn't reached peak season sales, but it wasn't as low as the off-season either. Yu Yin first contacted Huang Shan, asking her to help her get in touch with Brother Zhang, who had been working with Huang Qiang and had quite a bit of work.

Yu Yin gave the blueprints to Huang Shan, asking her to deliver them to her older brother that evening.

"Huang Shan, could you please ask Brother Huang to tell Brother Zhang that I need this urgently and it would be best if it could be made for me tomorrow and delivered to the shop tonight?"

"Don't worry, Sister Yu Yin, I'll give it to my brother tonight. We don't live far from Brother Zhang's house, so I'll deliver it to him tonight."

"Alright, thank you for your help, Huang Shan."

After Yu Yin finished explaining her business, she went to find Liang Chao to ask about the company's operations over the past period.

"Brother Liang, how are the products selling lately? Should we adjust the product categories?"

"Not for now, we don't have too much stock. The newly arrived dried fruit is selling very well, mainly because it tastes good and there are many varieties, so we can increase the quantity appropriately."

Following Yu Yin's advice, A Xiang sought out some elderly people who possessed the skill of making dried fruit, especially some ethnic minorities whose crafts were unique and impossible for others to imitate. A Xiang found several villages she could collaborate with, producing dried fruit unique to Yunnan Province, which sold consistently well.

How's the security situation?

"Sigh, there are more people loitering on the streets lately, and some even wander around the area at night. We keep three people at the shop at night to take turns on duty, so things are relatively peaceful so far."

Yu Yin knew that the crackdown was still two or three years away, and that things would be quite chaotic during this period, especially for those in the transportation industry, which was really dangerous. Before the Lunar New Year, Yu Yin asked Brother Liang to ask a friend in the transportation team who was going south to help her bring back a color television, but they all refused.

Accidents on the road are difficult to resolve, so people are reluctant to drive long distances anymore; it's too dangerous. These road bullies are quite arrogant; they dare to stop vehicles, rob goods, and sometimes even injure people. Such news comes out from time to time, which is terrifying.

Yu Yin looked at the seats on the second floor; they were a bit cramped.

"Brother Liang, could you take a look around our shop these next few days and see if there are any houses for rent or sale? The second floor is too crowded. If there are any suitable ones, we can use them as staff dormitories. That way, we can take care of the shop at night and live more comfortably."

"Okay, I'll take a look. I'll let you know if there's anything suitable."

Yu Yin wandered around again, greeted the other employees, and bought some dried mushrooms and dried bamboo shoots for hot pot that evening.

Before going home, Yu Yin went to a nearby butcher shop and bought some mutton, beef, and offal. The shop was privately owned and sold to acquaintances. Their village was in the suburbs, and they secretly slaughtered and sold the meat from their own cattle and sheep.

Yu Yin was lucky and bought quite a lot.

"Aunt Hu, we're having hot pot tonight. Here's the meat and vegetables. Please pack the rest. Are Grandpa and Grandma awake?"

"She's awake. I helped my aunt go to the toilet. She should be resting inside now."

"Okay, I'll go take a look. Aunt Hu, you go and get ready."
