A group of people came to her house without her knowing.
She took Wang Wenye and Qian Weiguo to her dried goods store and showed them around.
"This is it."
Yu Yin entered the store first, followed closely by Wang Wen and Qian Weiguo.
Welcome!
Hearing footsteps, Huang Shan knew someone had come in, and she instinctively called out, "Welcome!"
Wang Wenye and Qian Weiguo were surprised; they hadn't expected a welcoming speech.
"Sister Yu Yin, what brings you here? Is the wedding over?"
Huang Shan, who had just turned around, was surprised to find Yu Yin walking in. Seeing that there were other guests, she didn't chat for long and quickly greeted him, "Sir, what do you need? Is it for yourself or as a gift? Let me introduce you to some things."
"Huang Shan, you're busy, this is my friend, come and visit."
Yu Yin explained, and Huang Shan understood, then went about her own business.
"Sister Yu Yin, your service is excellent!"
Qian Weiguo had been to high-end places and witnessed excellent service, but small shops like this generally lacked any service awareness. Once inside, few people paid any attention to you; they were busy, and it was considered good if they came over after you called several times.
Many sales clerks have mastered the art of rolling their eyes, and can come up with all sorts of variations.
"It's alright. If you start from your own perspective and think from the customer's point of view, it's easier to understand."
Yu Yin then led them to the room with the gift boxes, which immediately felt more upscale. The various gift boxes bearing the green sprout logo were mostly simplified versions of packaging from later generations, created by Yu Yin herself.
In an era when goods were wrapped in oil paper everywhere, Yu Yin and her shop felt that their gift boxes were at the forefront of fashion.
"Sister, I'm impressed. All those high-end gift boxes in your room say it all. I admire you."
Yu Yin smiled sheepishly. She had gotten a good deal, taking an idea from decades in the future and taking a shortcut.
Although the two had many questions they wanted to ask, they weren't in a hurry. They would come over later once they knew the address.
Yu Yin introduced Liang Chao to them. Seeing Liang Chao without his left hand, Wang Wenye and the other man were very moved, but they didn't pay too much attention to him. They didn't need sympathy.
"Alright, where did you two put your luggage? Have you found a place to stay yet?"
"We have a place to stay; we've booked a guesthouse."
"Okay, go back and rest for a bit. There's no rush. You can come anytime. Tomorrow, we'll have them take you two to my house. Your brother-in-law is home, so he can show you around."
After arranging things for the two people, Yu Yin was about to go home. She had been busy all day and was a little tired.
When Yin arrived home, she was surprised to find quite a few people in the yard.
"Yinyin's back, and your friend left?"
The second sister saw Yu Yin first, and seeing that she came back alone, she assumed that her friend had left.
"I went to the guesthouse. I'm exhausted after a long day. I'll come back tomorrow to familiarize myself with the place."
Yu Yin looked around; there were quite a few people.
"Second Aunt, your house is so big and nice. Can I be your son and live with you from now on?"
Yu Yin was stunned; she hadn't expected the child to ask that.
"No, my mother has four siblings, why would she want you as her son? A son doesn't despise his mother for being ugly, and a dog doesn't despise his home for being poor. How can you so easily abandon your parents?"
Kuai Kuai, who had just arrived, was displeased upon hearing Lu Xiangqiang's words. He was annoyed by his older brother, who was rude, messed around everywhere, and touched everything.
"Your house is so big, what difference would one more person make?"
Yu Yin had no intention of helping others educate their children, especially children who disliked her.
"What does this have to do with family or social status? How can you not see the essence of the matter?"
Yu Yin ignored the two children's argument, greeted Sister-in-law Lu, and went inside to change her clothes.
Wang Mengyao watched Yu Yin leave, feeling a pang of sadness. She thought to herself, if she had been the one to marry Lu Shurui, wouldn't this big house be hers now?
People with unrealistic ideas always talk to themselves. She didn't realize that the house was bought with money earned by Yu Yin, not Lu Shurui.
After changing her clothes, Yu Yin went downstairs, and Mr. Lu and Grandpa Lu also came over from the greenhouse.
"Yinyin is back?"
"You're back, Grandpa. Did you go to the greenhouse? I was thinking of taking a cactus to work tomorrow and putting it on my desk."
"The one I repotted a few days ago is growing well, so I'll take that one; the pot is also nice."
The old man loves growing flowers; he knows all the flowers in the house like the back of his hand, and has an excellent memory for them.
"Things change once Second Sister-in-law has money. She ignores guests when they come in and doesn't answer the children's questions. This is how she treats guests..."
"What kind of guest are you? You're more like an uninvited rude guest. The children are here. We don't want to embarrass you, so we're kicking you out in front of everyone. Wouldn't it be better to just stay quiet for a while?"
Yu Yin couldn't understand whether she was genuinely stupid or just plain clueless. What good could come of provoking someone on her turf?
"Who's the unwelcome guest? We're just visiting my second brother's house, what right do you have to kick us out?"
"Because this is my home, this is my house, I am the owner of this house, so tell me, do I not have any rights?"
It's so annoying. What's its zodiac sign? It always pops up to annoy people every now and then.
“Lu Shukang, don’t you know what’s going on between us? You’ve come, and I can’t say you can’t come in. But it’s always like this. What’s the point? I’m saying this now: don’t ever set foot in my house again.”
Lu Shurui's words surprised everyone; they hadn't expected him to say such a thing. Shurui had always been quite easy to talk to, and they rarely saw him speak so bluntly.
Lu Shurui was fed up. He thought he had done a good job, so why was this going on and on? Did he have to give all the family's money to everyone to be happy? Why should he? This was Yu Yin's own hard work; what did it have to do with them?
