Yu Yin rested at home for a few days before preparing to meet Wang Wenye.
"Sister Yu Yin, we've arrived."
Zhong Liang woke Yu Yin up; the car ride had been very bumpy.
"We've finally arrived. It's been a long time since I've taken such a long car ride. Apart from those years in Yunnan Province, I've rarely seen roads like this."
"This is the edge of Pudong, quite far from our factory site. Is it under the jurisdiction of one place?"
This was Yu Yin's first time visiting Wang Wenye. He had been transferred here for some time now. At first, they could still find time to get together, but later they all got busy with their own things. Occasionally, she would hear some news about him from Qian Weiguo, mostly about his family, such as Wenye's wife giving birth to a son.
"I'm not really sure. Our main purpose this time is to inquire about the current policies and support. We're in the same region, so there shouldn't be much difference. Having connections in the imperial court makes it easier to get an official position, so let's find out the truth."
"That's true. With inside information, we'll have a clear understanding of who we're negotiating with."
The two arrived at the entrance of the county government building as they talked.
Who are you looking for?
"Hello comrade, we are looking for Deputy County Head Wang Wenye."
Zhong Liang had visited many factories recently and had a thorough understanding of the security guard system, so he quickly went up to negotiate and offered him a cigarette.
"Which unit are you from? I'll go and inform you."
“We are Wang Wenye’s relatives. That’s his cousin Yu Yin over there. Could you please pass on the message that we’ll be waiting here?”
The gatekeeper made a phone call inside, telling Zhong Liang and the others that they were on the second floor.
Yu Yin and Zhong Liang entered the county government building, went up to the second floor, and found the office with the sign for the deputy county head.
"Sister Yu Yin, please come in, you're a rare guest!"
"I know you're busy, so I won't bother you unless it's something to do. How are things? It's been almost two years since you started coming here."
Wang Wen also poured tea for the two women and invited them to sit down and talk.
"Sister Yu Yin, who is this?"
Wang Wen did not answer Yu Yin's question. He looked at Zhong Liang and felt that he looked familiar, as if he had seen him somewhere before.
"I was so busy asking how you were doing that I forgot to introduce you. This is Zhong Liang, my assistant and future partner."
"Hello!"
"Ah! I remember now, I was wondering why it looked so familiar, I felt like I'd seen it somewhere before."
Upon hearing the name, Wang Wen also remembered it.
"Have you met him?"
Yu Yin was a little confused; Zhong Liang didn't seem to recognize Wang Wenye.
"No, I saw a photo of my older brother and Comrade Zhong in my older brother's photo frame. My older brother even exclaimed that Comrade Zhong's abilities are extraordinary and his future is limitless."
"My older brother rarely praises people, which I remember very well. But judging from the situation, Comrade Zhong has retired from the army?"
Wang Wenye's brother is one of the most outstanding people in the Air Force. If he's praising someone, then he's definitely not an ordinary person.
"I retired from the military for personal reasons. May I ask if your older brother is Comrade Wang Wenjun?"
"Yes, my older brother is Wang Wenjun."
In Zhong Liang's memory, the only comrade-in-arms with the surname Wang who could be matched with Wang Wenye was Wang Wenjun from the Air Force, an excellent pilot.
"I haven't seen you, brother, for a long time either. We met during an exercise and felt like we were kindred spirits. Unfortunately, I had to leave early."
Zhong Liang no longer dwells on the past; he has to look forward. No matter how regrettable things are, time cannot be turned back. Even if he could do it all over again, he would still choose his sister.
"Sister Yu Yin, I have to admire your luck."
"I also feel incredibly lucky, I got lucky by taking advantage of the country's misfortune."
"It's also my good fortune!"
Well, it's not easy to find employees who are capable and have good character. At the same time, it's not easy to find bosses who are willing to delegate authority and have complete trust. It's a unique kind of comrade-in-arms who go both ways and fight side by side.
"You're all lucky!"
Wang Wen also knew that Sister Yu Yin wouldn't come looking for him unless there was something important. This time, she must have come for something important.
"Sister Yu Yin, are you up to something big?"
Why do you ask that?
Yu Yin hadn't even told Qian Weiguo about her plan to build a factory.
“If it weren’t something important, you would never come to see me during work hours.”
"You really know me. I have something I'd like to ask you. I'm planning to open a food factory and would like to inquire about some current policies."
Wang Wen didn't expect that Sister Yu Yin was going to open a factory. She had always acted rather indifferently, not like someone who wanted to make a career out of it. Her favorite saying was that she was content with a small fortune.
Why the sudden change of heart?
"It wasn't exactly sudden. I hadn't planned on doing anything too demanding before; I was thinking of slowly making some investments and reaping the profits. But when Sister Xiang came, there were some things I wanted to do that required a lot of capital, so I had to start something new, and that required money!"
Yu Yin knew her own abilities were limited, but she wanted to help some children, especially those who had lost their parents, within her means, giving them warmth and hope. The prerequisite for doing this was having sufficient financial support, which meant she had to work hard.
"Sis, you're still short of money? Does that make me a beggar?"
Wang Wen also felt that Sister Yu Yin was the most insightful and daring person in their group. She was the first to start a business, the first to buy a big house, and yet she was never short of money.
"My own family isn't short of money, but the things I need to do require money!"
"What do you need so much money for?"
"charitable."
Wang Wen also fell silent; it was a business that required money.
"Sister, I admire you!"
"It's just an idea. I don't even know if I can make that kind of money. Doing charity requires planning, doesn't it?"
