Yu Yin arrived home after eight o'clock. It was too late, so she didn't go to the factory with them. Zhong Liang and Wang Qiming went back to check the accounts.
Lu Shurui applied a hot towel to Yu Yin's legs, as she felt her legs didn't even belong to her after a long day.
How was your day?
"The results are good; one or two out of ten people buy it. We sold quite a lot in one day. Tomorrow is the store opening, and then we'll move into a department store and open stores in other districts. There are so many things to do."
Yu Yin still gets a headache just thinking about it. She doesn't know when her "lying down" plan will be realized, or her organic farm.
Yu Yin fell asleep during Lu Shurui's massage. "She was really tired; she was even snoring."
Lu Shurui put the towel away, took it to the bathroom, and read for a while longer. He was currently working on a project with his advisor and was extremely busy, so he couldn't help Yu Yin.
The next day, Yu Yin woke up with sore and swollen legs, a consequence of lack of exercise.
When the children saw their mother come downstairs, they all asked her with concern how yesterday's event went.
"Mom, when are you going to hold another event? I want to go too." Kuai Kuai really loves joining in the fun, always going wherever there are lots of people, and she's not shy at all.
"We won't be doing it for now, but we'll invite you next time." Yu Yin patted Kuai Kuai's head; he had grown taller again.
Pingping and An'an are both taller than Yu Yin now, especially Pingping, whose voice is starting to change and she's entering puberty. An'an is also starting to develop, and Yu Yin bought her a sports vest a while ago.
The family sat down together for breakfast. They've been quite busy lately, so Yu Yin and Lu Shurui usually come home late, and the children eat dinner by themselves.
"Mom and Dad, we're done eating. Time to go to school."
"Wait a moment, I'll go with you." Lu Shurui wiped his mouth, picked up his briefcase, and went out with the children.
Yu Yin finished the porridge in her bowl, went upstairs to change her clothes, put on some simple makeup, and then came downstairs with her bag.
"Uncle Hu, Aunt Hu, I'm leaving too."
"Are you coming back for lunch?" Aunt Hu called out, and Yu Yin replied, "No, I'm not coming back," and walked away.
When they arrived at the store, Zhong Liang and his team were already there, and promotional posters were already displayed at the entrance.
This was designed by Yu Yin based on the style of later roll-up banners. She had someone draw it for her, and it was placed on a wooden frame and stood at the entrance, making it very eye-catching.
"Sister Yu Yin, Manman's drawing is really good. It's very eye-catching and can be seen from quite a distance." Wu Dali wasn't good with words, but he couldn't help but praise Manman's drawing because he thought it was good.
"It's great. Once the department store deal is settled, we'll put up similar promotional posters. They're easy to see and catch people's eye." Yu Yin stood in front of the painting, admiring her daughter's artwork, feeling quite pleased with herself.
The new sales clerk is a young man in his early twenties. He's sweet-talking and perceptive, and complements Wu Dali perfectly. Together, they're a good match to run the store.
"Sister Yu Yin is here!"
"Well, how's the preparation going? Are you adjusting well?" Yu Yin wasn't familiar with him, but she asked politely.
"Great, the goods are all ready, we just need to wait for the auspicious time to set off the cannons."
The young man wasn't nervous when he saw Yu Yin; he was more afraid of Zhong Liang, and he would unconsciously tense up as soon as he met Zhong Liang's eyes.
"Sister Yu Yin..."
Hearing Zhong Liang's shout, Yu Yin went over.
The young man breathed a sigh of relief. No matter how amiable he was, he was still the boss, and he still felt a little uncomfortable.
"Crackling and popping..."
Yu Yin watched as Zhong Liang and Brother Liang lit the firecrackers. The red confetti, white smoke, and the smell of gunpowder created a fixed opening pattern.
"Dali, sweep up the firecracker debris at the door later, so it won't stick everywhere when there are a lot of people."
Wu Dali hadn't expected Sister Yu Yin to notice such details. He quickly replied, "I understand, Sister Yu Yin. There are tools in the shop. Once they're all put away, I'll go sweep."
These were all minor matters; as the firecrackers died down, the crowd began to return.
"There really is a store there. I heard about it in the square yesterday, but I didn't expect it to actually exist."
The old lady who spoke must have tasted the food yesterday; she had a clear goal and went straight to the store.
"Oh dear, I bought a few yesterday. They were a bit expensive, but my father loves them, so I'm buying some more today." I don't know if this is a dutiful daughter or a daughter-in-law.
"A new shop just opened, it sells all sorts of things, and there are quite a lot of people. Let's go in and take a look." Two middle-aged women who were passing by, always eager to join in the fun, followed the crowd into the shop.
The shop, which is about 30 square meters, is quite spacious except for the surrounding shelves, but at this moment it is already packed with people, chattering away, and it's impossible to tell how many there are.
Yu Yin stayed there for a while, feeling stuffy and unable to breathe, so she came out and sat at the table by the door to get some fresh air.
At this time of day, most of the customers are housewives, and the various scents of face cream are still quite addictive.
Yu Yin didn't wait until the end today. She left Zhong Liang and the others to keep an eye on things. She took He Haifeng to her house to familiarize herself with the place. After all, he was her driver, and she couldn't not even know her boss's house.
"Come in, get acquainted with the place, and we'll be regulars here."
Yu Yin opened the door and entered the yard. Aunt Hu and Uncle Hu were busy in the vegetable garden.
"Uncle Hu and Aunt Hu, let me introduce you. This is He Haifeng, my newly hired secretary and driver. We'll be visiting often from now on, so please get to know him."
"Wow, Yu Yin, you bought a car?"
Uncle Hu grasped a crucial piece of information: a driver. That meant there was a car.
"Yeah, it's a Jeep that the army retired. I haven't been to the factory these past few days, so I haven't driven it back." Yu Yin thought about Lu Shurui's expression when he saw the Jeep, and how it would startle him.
