While Zhong Liang and his team were busy conducting market research, Yu Yin also made progress by recruiting suitable employees.
"Sister Yu Yin, we have people here for interviews." Li Guangming led four people into Yu Yin's office.
Li Guangming was the secretary that Yu Yin and her team hired a couple of days ago. She was a real secretary and was responsible for the daily work of the two factory directors.
Yu Yin figured she wouldn't be coming to the factory to work every day anymore, so she didn't need a separate secretary to serve her, which would be a waste of resources. Besides, she had Lin Dong as her driver, who could take on the role, which was quite suitable.
"Please sit down." Yu Yin looked at the four people who came in, two men and two women. One of the men and one of the women were around forty years old, while the other two were younger, in their early twenties.
The four women sat down on the long bench in front of Yu Yin's desk, looking somewhat reserved. They hadn't expected the factory to be so large and well-organized when they entered.
"Guangming, go and get a few job application forms for these colleagues to fill out." Yu Yin didn't know which positions they were applying for.
Li Guangming placed one of the four job postings in front of each person, along with a pen for each person.
"Everyone, please fill in the basic information on the form, and then we'll continue." Yu Yin gestured for them to fill it in on their own, and she and Li Guangming went out.
Yu Yin went to inspect the workshop and found that both production lines were running and the workers were dressed and operating in accordance with requirements.
"Factory Manager, you're here. Our machines are running smoothly, and everyone's work enthusiasm is high." When he saw Yu Yin coming over, Workshop Director Zhou quickly greeted her and showed her around. He used to be the workshop director of a food factory, but he was framed and lost his job. Later, he came to work for Yu Yin and her team.
“Okay, we must pay attention to hygiene, especially the freshness of the meat. Although we have already implemented multiple checks, ensuring the freshness of the meat is very important as the last checkpoint on the production line.” Yu Yin hopes that their quality inspection and testing laboratory can be set up as soon as possible.
After making her rounds and finding nothing amiss, Yu Yin returned to her office.
"Sister Yu Yin, the form is filled out and it's on your desk." Li Guangming brought Yu Yin a cup of tea, as were the others.
Li Guangming's meticulousness pleased Yu Yin and Zhong Liang, and his keen observation skills were essential qualities of a good secretary.
Yu Yin sat down, picked up four reports, and started looking at the top one.
Song Mingyu, male, 23 years old, unmarried. Department of Chemistry, Agricultural University, with one year of experience as a laboratory technician.
Jiang Wei, male, 43 years old, married, with a university degree, was a former chemistry teacher who had been sent to the countryside. After being rehabilitated, he worked in a small chemical plant.
Wu Shengnan, female, 40 years old, divorced, with a university degree, was formerly the quality inspection director.
Zheng Shuangshuang, 21 years old, just graduated from university and has no work experience.
Yu Yin glanced at them and saw that they were all chemistry majors, so Uncle Tan must have introduced them.
Yu Yin needs to conduct a separate interview. Keep one of them, and the others can go to the next office to rest for a while.
"Let me introduce myself, so we can get to know each other," Yu Yin said, looking at the young man sitting in front of her.
"Hello, my name is Song Mingyu. I graduated from the Chemistry Department of an agricultural university and worked for a year before resigning." The young man's words were identical to those on his resume. Yu Yin asked, "Why did you resign? That was a state-owned factory. What were your considerations for applying here?"
"After graduating from university, I was assigned to a factory, thinking that I could put my knowledge to use. But after actually working there, I found that I couldn't use anything. There was no laboratory in the factory, and even the lab technician was just a figurehead."
I don't want to drift along like this at such a young age. Otherwise, in a few years, I'll have forgotten everything I've learned, and then there really won't be a future for me.
Song Mingyu is very independent in his thinking, has clear goals, and expresses himself very clearly.
"Okay, please wait next door for a moment and invite Comrade Wu Shengnan in."
Song Mingyu went out, and Comrade Wu Shengnan came in.
"Hello, my name is Wu Shengnan. The reason I resigned is because I got divorced. My ex-husband and I worked at the same factory, and I didn't want to get involved anymore. I wanted to start over." Ms. Wu Shengnan was quite straightforward and finished speaking first.
"Why did you leave? Judging from your personality, you must have good work ability. You even became a director?" Yu Yin asked suspiciously.
“If I leave, I can get custody of both children. I married late, and one child is in middle school and the other in elementary school. I can’t leave them with my ex-husband. I’m afraid that if there’s a stepmother, there will be a stepfather, and I don’t plan to remarry.” Wu Shengnan’s choice shows that she is very decisive.
Yu Yin had a basic understanding of the situation and then interviewed the next two people.
Jiang Wei was introduced by Uncle Tan; he was Uncle Tan's student before. He was reported by a student and sent to the countryside for several years, which left him with a lingering fear of students. After returning, he stopped teaching. Now, the factory is struggling, and his family is burdened with financial difficulties, so Uncle Tan introduced him to this job.
Zheng Shuangshuang's situation was simpler. She didn't like the company she was assigned to after graduating from university because it was too far from home, so she didn't even go to the job. She came here after seeing a job posting in the newspaper.
Yu Yin thought these people were all pretty good. Wu Shengnan was very capable at work and had leadership skills, so she was in charge of leading the work in the laboratory. Jiang Wei was a student of both chemistry and biology, so he was good at both. Yu Yin had gotten a great deal.
The other two younger ones should join in and practice hard.
Having made up her mind, Yu Yin led the group to the laboratory.
"This is our laboratory. All the equipment is here. Teacher Tan helped with the testing before. Please take a look and see if you need anything. Make a list and we'll get everything you need." Yu Yin didn't know anything about these things; she only knew basic chemistry experiments.
"Great! I haven't seen such a complete set of experimental equipment in a long time." Song Mingyu was very excited, and it was clear that he really liked his major.
Wu Shengnan and Jiang Wei looked around and listed a few items that needed to be purchased. Judging from their expressions, they were quite satisfied with the laboratory.
Yu Yin led the group back to the office and said, "I have reviewed your resumes. From what I can see, they meet our factory's hiring requirements. If you think they are suitable, you can start work tomorrow. As you can see, we need the laboratory to be operational."
“No problem, I’ll be there on time tomorrow. Is there a trial period?” Wu Shengnan replied first. She liked it here; it was a woman’s intuition.
"We're fine with it too!"
The other three also said in unison.
"Alright, welcome to Green Sprouts! The probation period is one month. Your basic salary and bonus will be discussed with the finance department after you start work tomorrow."
Yu Yin's words were sincere, and everyone was satisfied. So, see you tomorrow.
After Li Guangming saw them off, Yu Yin breathed a sigh of relief, finally able to relax.
Zhong Liang and his group returned one after another in the afternoon, bringing back optimistic information: there are not many places in the market that specialize in selling pork offal, and even fewer that sell cooked pork offal; the market is largely untapped.
Yu Yin knew that many markets were currently untapped, which gave her even more confidence. Aunt Hu's spice packets were incredibly delicious, absolutely amazing; all she needed to do now was set up the shelves in the factory.
Yu Yin and the others held another emergency meeting to assign tasks. Everyone was tired but happy, as they had received a lot of pay last month!
