Chapter 293 Green Sprouts Deli Processing Plant

After a day of rest, Yu Yin was fully recovered and completely forgot about the Lu family.

Last night she dreamed of that song again, the song that evoked such complex emotions in her.

Yu Yin didn't know if this was some kind of hint, or if she had some kind of destiny that brought her to this era. Just like her space, it was changing over time.

When Yu Yin entered the space a while ago, the plants were still there, but they no longer had the same vibrant life they once did; it felt somewhat like a return to nature. Perhaps the spiritual energy had completely dissipated, leaving only a storage space for planting.

Yu Yin felt no sign of leaving the space, and she felt much more at ease. This unknown space was a comfort to Yu Yin, a refuge for her lonely soul in this foreign world, and a source of security.

"Yu Yin, keep up the good work today!"

After cheering herself up, Yu Yin went to find Uncle Hu and Aunt Hu. The cooked food processing plant was almost finished, and the matter of the spice packets needed to be put on the agenda.

"Uncle Hu, Aunt Hu, I have something to discuss with you." Yu Yin greeted Uncle Hu and Aunt Hu, who were weeding in the yard.

"Yu Yin, what's wrong? Is something the matter?" Uncle Hu put the grass he had pulled down aside, washed his hands with Aunt Hu, and came over.

"Well, I have something to discuss. Please sit down, and let's talk over some tea." Yu Yin placed dried fruit and tea on the table under the grape trellis; the sunlight was lovely.

"Just tell me what's wrong. The sun isn't too hot, so it's a good time to pull all these weeds out." Uncle Hu is impatient and can't stand having weeds in the vegetable garden, so he keeps a close eye on it.

"Oh, my uncle, it won't make a difference if you wait a moment. We have important business to discuss."

Yu Yin helped the two of them sit down before she spoke, "Uncle Hu, Aunt Hu, I recently started a cooked food processing plant. I turn the leftover pork offal from the ham sausage factory into cooked food, which will increase the profit margin."

"That's great! A live pig's head only costs a few dollars, but it's worth a lot when it's cooked." Uncle Hu understood the key point immediately and was very supportive.

"Uncle Hu, what I wanted to say is that the cooked food processing plant wants to use your braising sauce recipe. In return, I'll give you and Aunt Hu 10% of the profits as a technology investment." Yu Yin explained her plan.

"Forget about investing or anything, just take the recipe and use it. We're just two old folks, what money could we possibly need? You provide for all our needs here, and we even get a monthly salary. Your Aunt Hu and I have been saving up, we're not short of money."

“Yes, if you want to use it, just use it. Why talk about money? When we get old, you can’t just not find us a nursing home, can you?” Aunt Hu echoed Uncle Hu’s words, saying that they didn’t want a share of the profits.

Yu Yin understands Uncle Hu and Aunt Hu; they have come to regard this place as their own home.

“Uncle Hu, Aunt Hu, that recipe was passed down from your ancestors. Let’s keep things separate. If we give you shares, take them. It’s your guarantee, your confidence. No matter what, having money in hand gives you peace of mind.” Yu Yin deeply understood this; even a hero can be brought down by a mere penny!

"Okay, Uncle understands what you mean. We'll do as you say." Uncle Hu knew that Yu Yin meant well, wanting him and his wife to have money so they could feel at ease.

"Uncle Hu, then I'll have to trouble you to quantify the recipe these next few days. We'll make it into spice packets, one packet per pot, to prevent the secret recipe from being leaked. For cooked food, the recipe is crucial; good taste is essential for sales!"

"Okay, I understand what you mean. I'll get on it in a bit." Uncle Hu is an impatient person; once he sets his mind to something, he'll get to it.

"Uncle Hu, don't rush. The processing plant isn't finished yet; it will take a few more days. We don't have any workers yet either."

After finishing her story, Yu Yin also went to check on how Huang Qiang and his team were doing.

Uncle Hu and Aunt Hu watched Yu Yin's departing figure, feeling quite moved. Aunt Hu had told Yu Yin that she could simply take the recipe and use it.

“Yu Yin is not that kind of person. She has her own principles in life and work. We will help her take care of the family and children’s three meals a day. When we get old, we will ask Yu Yin to help us find a better nursing home. With money, we have nothing to fear.”

Uncle Hu was telling his wife about their future plans. They had lost their beloved son, but they had also met many kind people.

Meanwhile, Yu Yin and Liang Chao, whom Uncle Hu considers good people, are doing their final checks at the cooked food processing plant.

"Brother Liang, everything is ready except for the final step. We still need a reliable person in charge." Yu Yin and her team had already bought a storefront and finished the renovations.

"The East Wind is here!" Liang Chao received a call from Captain Qiao in the morning. He didn't know how he was so well-informed. He knew they had started a new business and sent over a retired quartermaster.

"Where did you get this from?" Yu Yin's words made Liang Chao laugh. "I got it from Captain Qiao. I suspect he has spies around us. Otherwise, how would he know everything?" Liang Chao complained to Yu Yin about their old leader.

"What kind of person is your Captain Qiao? Our little temple can't possibly get him to do anything." Yu Yin knew that this must have been said by Wang Wenye, since their ham sausage factory was now Wang Wenye's main focus.

"That's true, nobody even knows what rank he is now?" Liang Chao is immune to it now. When he talks about the army or his comrades, he doesn't pay much attention to his left hand anymore.

"Did they say who was coming?" Yu Yin knew that the person introduced by the captain wouldn't be unreliable, but she still asked habitually.

"I heard he's been a quartermaster for a long time!" Liang Chao hadn't expected it either; a quartermaster in the military must have exceptional coordination and management skills!

"My goodness, Captain Qiao thinks too highly of us, this..." Yu Yin was also taken aback. People like this would have many good jobs if they were to leave the military.

"They didn't say anything specific, we'll find out when we get there." Liang Chao didn't care about those things; even good jobs aren't easy to work in, unlike their freedom.

Before the arrival of the east wind, Yu Yin and Liang Chao recruited the relevant workers. These large pots needed to be equipped with the corresponding personnel.

The after-sales staff at the store were veteran employees transferred from the dry goods store, and they were assigned to train the new staff.

This time, Lü Ping went, and two more sales clerks were hired, one male and one female, for a total of three people.

The processing plant doesn't need many people. The pork offal arrives already sorted. They only need to do a final cleaning, then put it in the pot and start the fire, turning it a few times during the process. The spice packets are readily available, so there's really not much else to do; the work is quite easy.

Yu Yin considered that this was in the city center, where many things were inconvenient, so she had the pig offal cleaned and prepared at the slaughterhouse before it was delivered. The slaughterhouse had workers specifically responsible for cleaning pig offal, which was very convenient.

When the east wind arrived, the weather was clear and cloudless. Liang Chao and Lin Dong went to the station to pick up the people.
