Chapter 3 is about biological children.

Where are you going?

Seeing the man walking out looking lost and dejected, Yu Yin asked loudly.

"Ah, I, I'm going to return the mirror."

"The mirror is in my hand, what are you going to ask for!"

"Oh, then, give it to me, I'll return it to the nurse."

She handed him the mirror, looking at the devastated man, but Yu Yin felt no sympathy for him. Whether it was marriage or pregnancy, Yu Yin was a passive victim, innocent; why should she bear all the consequences?

Their relationship was a tragic one.

The original owner went to gather mountain produce when a heavy rainstorm struck, rescuing Lu Shurui who had rolled down the mountain. Because of the rain, she could only take him to a cave she knew to take shelter. The rain poured down all night, and the two of them, alone together, spent the night. Amidst gossip and rumors, they were forced to marry.

Originally, the plan was just to get married, nothing more. There would be no real contact, and they would divorce once Lu Shurui had the chance to return to the city. Yu Yin had no expectations for married life; things were fine as they were. Unexpectedly, one day, Lu Shurui came home with a flushed face, and for some reason, he pulled Yu Yin aside and made their relationship official.

She got pregnant with twins after just one time.

Depressed, Yu Yin's entire pregnancy was unhappy, and the two strangers felt awkward and uncomfortable with each other. As a result, she suffered a difficult labor and nearly lost her life!

Looking at the two little ones on the bed, breathing weakly, Yu Yin silently vowed in her heart that she must take good care of them, let them enjoy a pleasant family atmosphere, grow up in a loving family, and have a happy childhood. She hoped that her children could have the wonderful experiences that she herself had never had.

My little ones, although you two look like two little monkeys now, Mommy is confident that I can raise you into human babies, grow into adorable little darlings, and grow up amidst the praise of others.

After calming down outside, Lu Shurui returned to the ward. Yu Yin was lying on the bed with the two little ones beside her. The three of them lay there together, looking quite cozy.

"I've returned it. Thank you so much, nurse, for lending me the mirror."

"Yes, thank you."

After that, nothing more. Is it just his personality or because he and Yu Yin have nothing to say to each other? Never mind, my priority now is to recover and get discharged from the hospital as soon as possible so I can help the two little ones get better.

"Waaah..."

The sound of her crying was heartbreaking; she was so weak.

The other little ones were wailing and crying, as if they wanted to tear the roof off.

"Check quickly, has it peed or pooped? It was just fed formula, it can't be hungry."

"Um……"

I frantically unwrapped the baby, and a foul odor assaulted my senses—the baby had pooped.

Seriously, Lu Shurui almost threw up. Not to mention the stench, the black, sticky poop stuck to the little guy's skinny bottom and legs was really too much for him.

"First, use a basin to mix some warm water and wash him, otherwise you won't be able to clean him properly."

Yu Yin couldn't move. Although her lower body didn't hurt as much as before, it still hurt.

In a panic, Lu Shurui mixed in some warm water, tested it with her hand—it wasn't hot—brought it over, lifted the child's feet with one hand, and washed the child with the other. This task was incredibly challenging.

I fought off the urge to vomit, changed the water twice, and finally got the little one clean. Then, I clumsily put the diaper back on, sweating profusely in the process. The little one felt comfortable, gave a delicate yawn, and fell asleep.

I just breathed a sigh of relief when another one started whimpering. The same operation was much easier to do again.

The two little ones fell asleep, and Yu Yin also fell asleep. Lu Shurui took the basin containing the urine rings and went out to wash them.

After much effort, and several times almost throwing away the urine ring, I finally managed to wash it and hang it to dry. He then vomited, almost bringing up bile. I'll never forget that. It's only because he's my own child that I can't do it; no one else could. He would never wash his own poop ring, especially since it contained meconium.
