Gu Yong struggled for a long time but didn't move forward at all; in fact, he retreated a little. I'd heard people say before that children crawl a little before they can crawl, and it's true.
Yu Yin cleaned up the house thoroughly and finished tending to the vegetables in the yard when Lu Shurui returned.
"So, did you manage to catch it?"
"What kind of talk is that? Don't you know who I am? Have you even gotten what you wanted yet? Who are you trying to insult?"
With his arrogant attitude, Yu Yin even suspected that he was possessed by something.
Besides the local ethnic minorities, most of the people in Yunnan Province are Han Chinese who came from all over the country to support the border region, as well as educated youth from various places. They have different accents and dialects, and they influence each other. Sometimes it is hard to tell where someone is from.
Yu Yin excitedly ran over; the bucket was packed with fish—so many!
Find a large basin and quickly pour these fish in; they'll die from lack of oxygen soon.
"I'll clean up. You go and take a shower. I've boiled some water. Hot water is so comforting."
"Okay, I'll go wash up."
Yu Yin looked at the fish in the basin. The larger ones weighed two or three pounds, while the smaller ones were as thin as a finger and as round as a roller. Fortunately, most of them were quite lively and hadn't died yet.
Taking advantage of the opportunity to select fish, Yu Yin smuggled quite a few into her spatial dimension, including various sizes, and also released some small river shrimp.
These fish couldn't be eaten in one meal. They were set aside for lunch, and the rest were cleaned by Yu Yin, salted, and dried into dried fish. They would be fried later, which would also be a delicious dish.
At noon, we made stewed fish and cornbread, and the two of us ate until we were stuffed.
"This is my first time eating it like this, and it tastes pretty good."
"Hmph, look at your belly. Besides, it's not bad. Northeastern stew doesn't live up to its reputation."
The two of them were arguing as they digested their food, while two little kids nearby were making noises.
That evening, Yu Yin couldn't wait to enter her space and see her little fish and shrimp soaking in the spiritual spring. Wasn't life wonderful?
"Oh, what's wrong?"
Looking at the small fish and shrimp floating by the spring, I wondered if they were dead.
Yu Yin was so surprised that she cried out in astonishment.
She ran over quickly, squatted down, and scooped out a small fish with her hand. Miraculously, the fish, which had looked dead just moments before, became lively and energetic again after leaving the spring water.
Yu Yin didn't believe it and put it back in. It immediately stopped moving and just floated.
It seems that raising fish and ducks in the spiritual spring is out of the question.
This big tree was probably planted by a female fairy who loves cleanliness and cannot tolerate the excrement of living beings, so she rejects them.
Yu Yin didn't know if they were female immortals. She thought to herself that she would let them float here for now, and tomorrow she would try to get a big basin and see if she could put the spiritual spring water in the basin, get them out of this big pit, and still be able to raise fish and shrimp.
With nothing to do, I left the space and cuddled the two little ones to sleep.
The next day, Yu Yin took the opportunity to put the wooden basin that she rarely used at home into the space.
In the evening, Yu Yin scooped the small fish into a basin. Sure enough, as soon as they left the tree pit, the little fish and shrimp swam happily in the spring water.
It seems it really was a matter of tree pits, and had nothing to do with the spiritual spring water. Alright, I'll just smuggle some pots into my space from now on and keep them in captivity. After all, our little fairy is so clean!
