Chapter 324 Sending the Child to University

After Pingping and An'an's graduation banquet, Kuaikuai and Manman's middle school entrance exam results came out, and as expected, both children were admitted to the high school section of the same school.

What's giving Yu Yin's family a headache is that Pingping and An'an's reporting dates are only a few days apart, both concentrated in late August and early September, so figuring out which route to take has become a problem.

"Shurui, which way should we go? This route doesn't seem to be short no matter which way we go!" Yu Yin held the map, looking at the distances from Shanghai to Changsha, from Shanghai to Beijing, and from Changsha to Beijing, each of which was over a thousand kilometers.

“If we split up, it will be easier; you can take one, and I'll take the other. But I'm a little worried about you walking so far by yourself. Kuai Kuai and Man Man also want to take their older siblings to registration, so they'll have to leave early.”

Let's take An'an first; her school registration is a few days earlier. Going a few days early allows her to spend a few days there, since we haven't been there before, and it'll help An'an get familiar with the environment. Then we'll fly to Beijing, which won't delay Pingping's registration.”

Yu Yin thought about it and felt it was feasible.

"What about the plane ticket?" In this day and age, you need a letter of introduction from your employer to buy a plane ticket; you can't just buy one if you have money.

"I'll get letters of introduction from my workplace, and I'll get some for you guys too, then we can make the purchase." Lu Shurui was well-liked at school, but at this time of year, it wasn't easy to find people to get letters of introduction.

With everything settled, all that's left is to prepare for the trip.

An'an is in military school, so she doesn't need to bring anything except her personal clothes. Just open a local savings account for her and deposit some money in case of an emergency.

Pingping doesn't need to bring too much stuff; she can buy it when she gets to Beijing. As for larger items like quilts, her sister-in-law can help her prepare them in advance.

University is free now, so it really doesn't cost much, but we still need to prepare some money for them, just in case they need the money urgently.

Yu Yin wrote down the things she needed to do in her notebook, afraid that she would forget them.

"Uncle Hu, Aunt Hu, we're leaving." Yu Yin and her family of six, carrying simple luggage, set off for the train station.

"Be careful on the road, and let us know when you arrive safely." Uncle Hu and Aunt Hu were very reluctant to part with Pingping and An'an, as they would be gone for several months.

"Grandpa Hu, Grandma Hu, take care of yourselves. When we come back, cook us something delicious." An'an hugged Grandma Hu. She was already feeling homesick even before they left.

According to the tickets, we found our seats. It was a family trip, so there were exactly six berths.

The train is still the same train, and its speed hasn't increased much. This journey will take several days.

When the family got off the bus, they could smell the sourness on each other.

"Ugh, it smells awful. Just to avoid taking the bus, I'm going to try to get into a university in Shanghai in three years. It's going to be so hard!"

He quickly gagged a few times, vowing never to take the college entrance exam in another city.

"You're so delicate. Even Manman is more troublesome than you." An'an rolled her eyes at Kuai Kuai.

Yu Yin looked at her youngest son, a child determined to enjoy life.

The family took a car to a relatively large hotel in the city. Yu Yin would always choose a large hotel if conditions allowed, because it is more comfortable to stay in and relatively safer.

The hotel was relatively new and the service was excellent. Yu Yin and her friends booked three standard rooms with toiletries, quickly collected their belongings, and checked in. They didn't do anything else but take a shower first.

It was half an hour later when the family finally emerged, refreshed and ready.

"I'm finally alive!" I quickly lay down on the bed, really not wanting to move anymore.

Lu Shurui finished washing up and came over, telling the children to rest first and go out for dinner later.

"Don't forget to lock the door," Lu Shurui reminded her as she walked to the door.

"Okay, Dad." Pingping got up to see her father out, and locked the door behind her.

When they woke up again, it was already dark. Yu Yin and Lu Shurui got up and called to the children, "Let's go out for dinner, we're hungry."

The streets were quite lively at night, with vendors selling fruit, snacks, and handicrafts... It was dazzling and overwhelming.

"Mom, I'm hungry. Let's eat first."

I quickly fell asleep, and my stomach started growling.

"Okay, let's go eat some local specialties."

After a satisfying meal, we returned to the hotel, but I was still exhausted and needed to sleep.

The next day, Lu Shurui went to buy plane tickets first, so as not to delay Pingping's arrival.

We successfully bought the plane tickets, and the family will first go to An'an's school to check out the route.

It wasn't time to register yet, and the gate was closed. The family stood outside the cordon for a while, feeling a sense of solemnity.

The plane tickets are for three days from now. Let's take An'an around the school area first, and then familiarize her with the route from the school to the train station. This will be useful for An'an later.

The rest of the time was spent visiting famous local attractions. Kuai Kuai and Man Man suffered from diarrhea due to the change in environment and had to rest at the hotel for a day.

On the day of registration, after sending An'an to school and successfully registering, Yu Yin and the others left.

An'an watched her family's departing figures, wiped away her tears, and thought, "It's okay. This is the place I've always longed for. I can overcome anything."

After the plane roared to take off, I quickly and curiously looked outside; it was amazing.

Looking at the airplanes from the 1980s, Yu Yin noticed that most of the people on the planes were men in white shirts and black trousers; there were very few women. These men were all on business trips sent by their work units; only she was there for tourism.

Upon arriving in Beijing, Brother Yu picked them up, having specially borrowed a Jeep.

"Let's go home first. Your sister-in-law has already prepared dinner. Pingping, congratulations!"
