After reading the letter, I realized it was a consolation prize. Brother Yu wrote to his younger brother, recounting what he had seen and heard, without bias, and truthfully.
In his letter, the younger brother told her not to care about her mother's attitude, that she was already a mother of two and didn't need to call her "Mom" all the time. He said he would always be his sister's support, his family, and would never abandon her.
Yu Yin imagined how furious her younger brother would be upon seeing her elder brother's letter, jumping and hopping around in the room. Just thinking about it made her want to laugh and cry at the same time.
Lu Shurui took the letter from the deliveryman and learned what had happened. Heartbroken, she hugged the silly girl tightly, gently patting her back in silent comfort.
After a while, Yu Yin was still very happy. Her brother said he could come back for the Chinese New Year and had a month-long vacation.
Ignoring the two little brats who had rummaged through the entire package, Yu Yin ran into the storeroom to check her supplies. She was planning what delicious food to make for her brother when he returned, and what other foods he liked that she didn't have at home.
Listening to the clanging and banging sounds coming from the warehouse, Lu Shurui felt helpless; he still couldn't compare to Xiao Ge. Now that he was going to meet the legendary Xiao Ge, he had to perform well.
"Oh dear, An'an, put it down right away, or your mom will beat you."
Before anyone could see, An'an turned the package inside out, spilling all the food. A moment later, when Yu Yin finished her work and saw it, An'an's little bottom was in trouble.
The doting father quickly helped to cover up the mistake, otherwise, he would really get a beating!
The family, busy with their own affairs, their shadows swaying under the lamplight, accompanied by the children's shouts and laughter, was truly heartwarming.
