Pingping accepted the red envelope and thanked them as well. An'an followed suit and also said thank you.
"Happy New Year, Second Sister and Second Brother-in-law!"
Yu Yin and Lu Shurui handed the red envelopes to Yu Kang, asking him to take the two younger children out to play.
"Let's go pay our respects for the New Year."
After they left with the two children, the courtyard suddenly became quiet.
"Dad is entertaining guests at home, so he might come over later. Mom is on duty this afternoon, so she probably won't be able to come."
Yu Yin has given up on her mother completely and no longer has any feelings for her. The two of them tacitly avoid each other. When Yu's mother comes to see Yu Jun, she always does so when Yu Yin is not around.
That evening, Mr. Yu came over for dinner alone, giving Ping'an and An'an a red envelope each. An'an happily gave her grandfather a kiss, leaving Mr. Yu's face covered in drool, and he smiled contentedly.
