Happy Chinese New Year!

After brewing the tea, Grandpa Lu started talking about his children.

"An'an has leadership skills, Pingping has a strong sense of responsibility and a good understanding of things, and Kuaikuai has an open mind and a good personality."

Grandpa Lu has gotten to know the children quite well after spending time with them before the Lunar New Year.

Most importantly, the child is very organized in dealing with people, has his own principles, is polite, and can be modest but will not always give in.

Yu Yin felt that her grandfather had too much of a bias towards his children, thinking that everything about them was wonderful.

The children are indeed good, with many strengths, but they are not without their weaknesses. However, as long as they do not cross any bottom lines or violate any principles, Yu Yin does not want to be too harsh on them. After all, children have the right to make mistakes.

Before long, Uncle Lu's family arrived, carrying New Year's gifts. It was the first time Yu Yin had met Lu Shuming's wife and son.

To avoid being sent to the countryside, Lu Shuming took over his mother's job as a workshop worker in the printing factory.

His wife, Wei Hong, is a saleswoman at the supply and marketing cooperative. The family has six members, including one pregnant, and three workers. They are doing quite well.

Most importantly, Uncle Lu's family has two rooms and a small attic, and Lu Shuming is their only son. Otherwise, given Wei Hong's circumstances, she would never have chosen Lu Shuming.

In Shanghai, many families, with more than a dozen people, are crammed into just two rooms, each room divided into multiple smaller rooms.

Wei Hong took the initiative to greet Yu Yin, calling her "sister-in-law," and started talking about her children.

Several members of the Lu family, both married and unmarried, passed the college entrance examination this year.

Lu Shumei, the youngest daughter of Uncle Lu, was admitted to a teacher's college. Lu Shuming has never liked studying since he was a child, which is unlike the rest of the Lu family. He may have inherited more of his mother's genes.

Lu Shukang and his wife, Lu Shurui and Yu Yin, Lu Shuqi and Lu Shuyun, a total of seven or eight people, were famous throughout the alley and were jokingly referred to as a scholarly family.

Aunt Lu's family also arrived. Shuqi and Shuyun wished their grandparents a Happy New Year and received a red envelope. The grandparents prepared red envelopes for all the younger generation, including those who were married and those who were not.

Mr. Lu and his family were the last to arrive. They didn't know what had happened, and even though it was the Lunar New Year, they all had long faces and no joy at all.

Yu Yin only greeted Lu's father for the New Year, ignoring everyone else. From that moment on, they were strangers.
