Chapter 84 Initial Deal Reached

Yu Yin walked around and saw quite a few antique shops. She didn't know if they were real or fake, but they looked very beautiful.

Yu Yin couldn't resist and secretly traded a small bag of rice for a gold bracelet, which was even inlaid with gemstones. She also traded a small bag of flour for a jade bracelet, the authenticity of which she wasn't sure, but she thought it was pretty.

After that, Yu Yin stopped paying attention to these things. She knew that possessing a treasure could be a crime, and she should be careful.

Finding a spot, Yu Yin lifted the gray cloth, revealing bananas, pineapples, cucumbers, and tomatoes.

"Oh, cucumbers? How much are they?"

"One yuan and fifty cents each."

This is the price Yu Yin asked about. Someone was selling them, but they weren't as big as hers and weren't very fresh, yet they were selling them for 1.5 yuan each. Hers should be better.

"Can you give me a discount? I'll buy a few more."

"No bargaining, these are all we have, once they're gone, they're gone."

Yu Yin didn't want to haggle and attract attention here. A quick victory and attracting the big boss as soon as possible was the best course of action.

"Give me two cucumbers, two tomatoes, five bananas, and two pineapples."

"Bananas are one yuan each, pineapples are one yuan each, cucumbers and tomatoes are one yuan and fifty cents each, totaling thirteen yuan, no coupons required."

She reluctantly paid the money, packed up her expensive items, and left quickly. Yu Yin was overjoyed, holding a wad of cash in her hand.

"Big sister, how much of this do you have left?"

The man who had been guarding the door stood in front of Yu Yin and asked in a low voice.

"What are you doing? I'm just selling some things, nothing else."

Yu Yin recognized the man as the gatekeeper and realized that the big boss had been summoned, so she had to be careful.

"It's nothing, I just wanted to ask you about the goods, don't be afraid."

Yu Yin pretended to suddenly realize something, then nodded calmly.

"Alright then. I'll go with you. I'm just passing on a message anyway."

Yu Yin muttered to herself, her voice loud enough for the man to hear, and followed him.

"Brother Zhong, this is the stuff this lady sells. I brought her with me."

After speaking respectfully, the man withdrew.

Yu Yin cautiously looked around. The room wasn't big, and she wasn't sure if it was the main base. She didn't see the supplies she'd expected, and didn't dare look around too much, standing there awkwardly.

"I heard you have a lot of rare supplies. How much do you have, and what are the prices?"

The man called Brother Zhong got straight to the point, without much small talk, probably treating Yu Yin as a messenger rather than making any decisions.

"When I arrived, they said that bananas and pineapples were 80 cents each, cucumbers and tomatoes were 1.2 yuan each, and grapes, not many, about a hundred bunches, 5 yuan for a big bunch."

After Yu Yin finished speaking according to the instructions, she fell silent, lowered her head, looked at her toes, and waited for them to make a decision.

After checking the black market prices, Yu Yin offered a reasonable price and didn't intend to haggle.

Zhong looked at Yu Yin and knew there was no room for negotiation. Otherwise, they wouldn't have sent only a timid and cowardly messenger. The other party was very careful and would basically never show their face. They had no choice but to accept this passively; the goods were in their hands.

"Okay, go back and tell them that we accept the price. As for the transaction details, time, and place, please provide them."

Yu Yin recited the time and place as if she were reciting a memorized text.

The location was one that Yu Yin had chosen beforehand; it was next to a nearby park, where there was a place that was either a temple or something else.

The place wasn't remote, but it was surrounded by high walls, so people avoided it, probably for fear of being caught red-handed by the police. Even in broad daylight, hardly anyone passed by.

"There's a quiet courtyard on the north side of the park near the department store. Send someone there to pick up the goods tomorrow at 1 p.m. Bring money. You can also use a small number of old items instead. I hope you won't break the rules."

After Yu Yin finished speaking, she left.

Emerging from the black market, I felt a chill run down my spine. This business was truly inhuman; my heart couldn't take it. A few more times like this, and I might faint.

Finding a secluded corner, Yu Yin entered the space, removed her makeup, changed her clothes, and carefully checked herself to make sure there were no flaws before leaving the space and heading towards the guesthouse.

Lu Shurui and the children had not returned yet, so Yu Yin took a car to Grandpa Lu's house.

Before entering, I secretly put two cucumbers and two tomatoes into my pocket before going into Grandpa Lu's house.

"Mom, you're back?"

"Mom, I miss you."

"Really? You didn't have so much fun at your great-grandfather's house that you had time to miss your mom?"

Yu Yin suspected that the two girls had forgotten they had a mother while playing; judging by the sweat on their foreheads, they must have been running around like crazy again.

"hehe……"

An'an covered her mouth with her hand, laughing like a little mouse stealing oil.

"How was your shopping trip? Did you find anything you liked?"

"It's alright, there's nothing I particularly want to buy. I just asked around about the route today, so I know how to get there. I was thinking of going to see the old Huai Kingdom tomorrow, but I didn't go today."

Lu Shurui didn't say anything. It's not easy to come to Shanghai, so there's no harm in exploring a bit more. It's just that it's An'an and Pingping's first time traveling so far, and they're not used to the climate. He couldn't take them sightseeing too much, in case their bodies couldn't handle it.

"Hmm, after visiting the old Huai Kingdom tomorrow, there's nothing else I want to visit."

Yu Yin originally wanted to go to the port to buy some seafood to store in her space, but she had no excuse, and Pingping and An'an were becoming more and more wicked. Yu Yin was also afraid that they would find out and ask some difficult questions.

After dinner, the family returned to the guesthouse, as they were going to Lu's father's house for a family dinner the next evening.

The next day, Yu Yin and Lu Shurui first accompanied the child to a nearby bookstore, and then Lu Shurui took the child to her second sister's house. In the afternoon, they went to Lu's father's house for dinner.
