The Star Record
Miao Xingzhou looked at those people and began to leave.
Reading novels is like looking at life; novels are derived from life, but life transcends novels.
In my dream, I saw my high-tech parents who said, "Don't leave now, you'll succeed soon."
Miao Xingzhou: "Whether you succeed or not, it's all the same, isn't it?"
Parents: "Everyone wants to succeed, why do you think that way?"
Miao Xingzhou: "Although I yearn for success, I still love my original parents."
Don't you want to experience the taste of success?
She said, "Even if I succeed, isn't it the same? I'll still be sitting in front of the computer typing on the keyboard."
Mother: "If you stay, you will have an endless life."
Miao Xingzhou: "I've already said that."
"This is a dream, there's no need to take it seriously."
Mom: "What if it wasn't a dream?"
Miao Xingzhou woke up from her dream and looked around her home. She went downstairs, and her mother said with a smile, "Get up, come and eat."
Miao Xingzhou: "Hmm."
Dad: "You got up so late today."
She didn't respond. Her mother said, "What's wrong with getting up late if you don't have to do anything?"
Dad stood up. "Let's eat."
These days are really good.
She writes novels on her computer.
Mom said, "I really don't know why you write those things. Are they really that interesting?"
Mom: "You're not destined for an easy life."
Mom: "But your expenses are low, so we can afford to raise you."
Miao Xingzhou: "I need to earn money to support myself, and I also need to support you."
The mother's expression held a slight hint of disdain as she raised her head.
She started writing science fiction.
The book says: Dreams become more vibrant when washed by water, but the longer they are washed in water, the more their original color will change.
She began, "Why do I persist in pursuing my dreams? What is it for? My childhood dream was to draw, but now I've chosen to write novels."
He looked at his own paintings and realized that having too much of a good life could bring unexpected disaster.
To invite unnecessary trouble.
If there's any trouble, it's because the villagers don't like them.
That's what she was thinking.
She watched a video of a person who, dissatisfied with the distribution of his property, blew up three of his relatives.
She suddenly felt that there wasn't a single good person in the world.
Reading a book in the hallway.
Passersby stared at him like he was a monkey, and even asked if he was the person in question.
He nodded to himself.
Those people maintained the same expression the whole time.
She understood why they saw her that way, and why some even hated her.
Many people in the village have bad tempers.
He gets angry as soon as someone sits next to him.
Your expression doesn't look good at all.
She hates these people.
I rarely go out.
But what you fear most is what happens most often.
Perhaps I'm overthinking it.
She calmed herself down; this year, she would be twenty-three years old.
Time flies.
After she finished reading the book, she went upstairs to sleep.
I felt very sleepy around nine o'clock.
She fell asleep very quickly.
She returned to the high-tech home.
"Miao Xingzhou," his mother said, "would you like to see places beyond Earth now?"
Miao Xingzhou: "Hmm."
Their house kept rising higher and higher, transforming into a spaceship. In just a few hours, they flew out of Earth. Looking at the vast, indifferent universe, she trembled.
He slowly said, "Why do I exist? What are parallel worlds like?"
Mom: "What you want to understand is what all of humanity wants to know."
Looking at the countless stars, she began, "You really don't know?"
Mom: "All living things will appear in a book."
Miao Xingzhou asked, "What book?"
Mom: "The Star Records".
Dad: "Only the Creator knows about this book."
She saw a wormhole, which must have been made by higher beings traveling back and forth.
Slowly, I came to see a huge, golden whale swimming in the sea of stars.
Miao Xingzhou then saw her former teacher, who looked at her and said, "Come to class!"
When Miao Xingzhou woke up, his mother said, "Get up."
Miao Xingzhou: "Hmm."
She started to wake up, looked at the meal she had prepared, and said, "Stir-fried cured pork and cabbage again?"
Mom: "What's wrong?"
Miao Xingzhou: "Nothing much."
Mom: "You're not going to eat anymore after eating so little?"
"Um."
She started sitting at her computer and writing a novel.
Mom: "Write those useless things."
Dad: "You'd be better off spending that time farming more land."
Miao Xingzhou said, "You guys lose money gambling and don't even think about farming. I write a novel and you say it's a waste of time. What kind of argument do you have?"
Mom and Dad looked at each other, then walked to the door and said, "You cook, we're going out now."
Miao Xingzhou: "Win the money back."
Mom and Dad laughed. Mom said, "If we don't win any money, will you stop cooking for us?"
Miao Xingzhou: "I will do it. I just wish you all good luck in winning money. It's not good to keep losing at gambling."
Mom and Dad smiled somewhat awkwardly and said, "You stay here and watch the house."
"Um."
Looking at the computer screen, I started to frown. It's okay, failure is normal.
Besides, it's normal to fail.
Suddenly my sister called.
Sister: "What are you doing right now?"
Miao Xingzhou: "Write novels."
Sister: "Besides writing novels, what else can you do?"
Miao Xingzhou: "Painting."
The corners of her mouth turned up slightly.
Miao Xingzhou: "So you're going to take a break for a month and a half or a month after this month ends?"
Sister: "Yes!"
Miao Xingzhou laughed and said, "You scared me by shouting so loudly?!"
My sister smiled and said, "I already told you, I need to rest!"
They both laughed.
After that, we started chatting, and the older sister said, "I think this is not bad. Work for a few months and then rest for a few days."
When I checked the time, it was already 11:59 when my sister hung up the phone.
In the novel, Guan Lingjie begins by asking, "Can I start a business with you?"
Cao Anren: "You..."
Guan Lingjie: "I'll be your employee. You won't... mind, will you?"
Cao Anren began to laugh: "But?"
Guan Lingjie: "I'm not afraid of hardship."
Cao Anren: "Hmm."
Guan Lingjie came with Cao Anren. Inside a house were Cao Anren's business partners, most of them young. Looking at Guan Lingjie, they asked, "Your girlfriend?"
Cao Anren: "This is my classmate."
Partner: "We happen to be short of a clerk here."
The company faced many difficulties when it was first established, but by persevering, it eventually pulled through.
When Guan Lingjie was drunk, she said, "Cao Anren, I'm so hot..."
Cao Anren: "I'm so hot too."
They are as turbulent and uncontrollable as a tide.
Guan Lingjie: "I like you so much now. I've liked you since the beginning of school."
Cao Anren looked at Guan Lingjie and said, "Me too."
Once aroused, it's hard to control oneself.
After the passionate encounter ended, I began to regain my senses.
Cao Anren: "Let's get married."
At the wedding, they invited their classmates. During the wedding, Guan Lingjie saw someone she was afraid of, and she mustered up her courage to ask, "Are you already married?"
The man looked at her and said, "Hmm."
Guan Lingjie: "You really got married! Who's your husband?"
Guan Lingjie began by saying, "My marriage partner is..."
Cao Anren: "Come here quickly."
Guan Lingjie entered the dressing room. After finishing her makeup, she slowly began to ask, "Cao Anren, what do you like about me?"
Cao Anren: "I like everything about you."
Guan Lingjie: "Never mind, I'll ask you later."
They walked in hand in hand.
A scream suddenly rang out during the wedding.
Guan Lingjie realized that it was just the person she had been chatting with earlier who had fainted.
Cao Anren put the ring on her finger.
He said, "I will never be separated from you for all eternity."
The audience erupted in applause.
Miao Xingzhou yawned.
She smiled and said, "It's already four o'clock, time to cook."
She went into the kitchen.
Looking at the dishes, all I have to do is heat them up.
After I finished cooking, my dad and the others came back, but I always ate first before my dad ate.
Maybe he wasn't hungry.
Mom said, "Ignore him, that's just how he is."
Mom: "Are you going to eat or not!"
Dad: "I have no appetite! I'll eat later."
Mom: "There won't be any food left later, what will you eat then!"
Dad: "There's so much food, we can't possibly finish it all at once."
Miao Xingzhou said, "Leave some of the less tasty dishes for Dad."
Mom smiled.
Dad frowned.
After we finished eating, Dad came over to eat.
Mom scolded Dad.
Afterwards, Mom and Miao Xingzhou sat on the sofa.
Miao Xingzhou asked, "Mom, did you win at cards?"
Mom: "Do you think you can win or not?"
"Even if you lose money, it's your money, you don't need to feel bad about it."
Miao Xingzhou: "I'm not a child anymore."
Her mother looked at her.
Miao Xingzhou: "I'm just asking, not asking for your money."
She looked at the book, and there was nothing wrong with each day passing by like this.
But things tend to turn around when they reach their extreme. Can I really succeed?
Looking at the sky, I wonder where I will go after I die.
Are we destined to remain on Earth forever, unable to leave?
Maybe so. Will I have a next life?
If I could be reborn, what would I be like? Would there be karma involved?
Is the reason why I am not living a good life in this life because I did something wrong in my previous life?
Or was there no past life at all?
Mom: "What are you thinking about?"
Miao Xingzhou: "I'm sleepy, I'm going to sleep now."
Mom: "Mmm."
She began to close her eyes.
High-tech mom: "Humanity can never become a god-like civilization."
Miao Xingzhou: "Why?"
Mother: "Because humans are inherently greedy and selfish, we cannot change our nature."
Mom: "God-level civilizations are actually all around us. We just can't see them."
Miao Xingzhou: "Hmm."
She reached out her hand. It was disheartening to see a god-level civilization right beside her, yet she couldn't see it.
The mother said, "However, the laws governing the world are fair. Every living being can become a god-like civilization."
Miao Xingzhou: "It's impossible for so many people to become a god-level civilization."
Mom: "What's impossible?"
Dad: "Our death is not the end."
Miao Xingzhou: "Where did those trillions of lives go after they died?"
Mom: "They're right here beside us."
Miao Xingzhou: "Did they become ghosts or reincarnate?"
Mother: "No one knows the answer to this question, and even after death, they may not understand."
Miao Xingzhou: "Indeed, there are many mystical phenomena that cannot be explained by science."
