Chapter 21 The Killing Sun Blade (Part Two)

Chapter 21 The Killing Sun Blade (Part Two)

These soldiers were all seasoned veterans, and they were Grand Commandant Gao's personal guards. They would not back down because of fear. They realized that this woman was invincible, but they still risked their lives to fight her.

Your knife will eventually get dull, and you'll eventually get tired. It's foolish of you to take on over a hundred people by yourself.

!!! !!! !

But why isn't your knife dull yet? Why aren't you tired?

Gao Yang already regretted it; he shouldn't have stopped Zhi Fang from setting up the formation. He was proud and felt it was too shameful to deal with a little girl in such a grand manner.

He's already made his point, and it would be too embarrassing to back down now; he needs to have the confidence to convince the public.

But he couldn't bear to part with his cavalry, which was his foundation in this chaotic world, and he absolutely couldn't let it be destroyed in such a strange place.

He grabbed his weapon, leaped down, seized a horse from a nearby guard, and shouted fiercely, "Get out of the way! I'm coming!"

General Zhi hurriedly rode up, his horse's hooves splashing mud and water as it stepped into small puddles.

His voice cut through the rain, advising, "Grand Commandant, you must not put yourself in danger."

“I came from the battlefield, this is not a dangerous place for me.”

Gao Yang was already in his forties, but he was still a warrior who was hard to beat in this world. He charged ahead with his sword and spear, and with a swing of his lance, he blocked Guan Zhiwei's sword. With a clang, he saved Guan Zhiwei's life.

The soldier was filled with gratitude, his eyes blazing with rage as he charged forward recklessly, determined to repay the debt with his life.

"Don't touch her!" Gao Yang waved his hand, his voice heavy and forceful: "None of you move!"

"Did I kill your father or your mother?" he asked Guan Zhiwei condescendingly.

The two men clashed weapons.

The others were intimidated by this imposing presence and unconsciously retreated, raising their weapons to surround the area.

“No, I have no father or mother.” Guan Zhiwei slowly shook her head.

"Then why did you come to kill me?"

“I have a very satisfying job and a well-maintained residence. You let your soldiers kill and burn, disrupting my life, so I’m here to kill you.”

Is it really worth risking your life for something so trivial?

The surrounding soldiers were all shocked.

Gao Yang never felt he had done anything wrong. If the powerful families refused to give his soldiers the rewards they deserved, then he had no choice but to take them himself.

After boosting morale, he led his troops back to Yingzhou. Once the young emperor was beheaded in the chaos, he then enthroned the Prince of Hengdong as emperor, and made him Grand Commandant as well.

In his original plan, there were no ordinary people who were not intended to be gifts.

"I'll give you another job, work for me, and I'll give you inexhaustible wealth!"

How lucky he was, going from an assassin to a guest of Grand Commandant Gao.

She should be extremely grateful and kneel down to kowtow.

Guan Zhiwei looked up, raindrops sliding down her face, her eyelashes heavy, almost unable to open: "What's your name?"

He answered instinctively, "Gao Yang."

Guan Zhiwei used the knife in her hand to fight against his spear. The force was so great that it slipped from Gao Yang's hand little by little, and Gao Yang almost lost his grip. This dignified general was disarmed!

"Then this sword will be called the Sun-Slaying Sword."

She has a terrible name, but she's incredibly talented.

Her knife was forged with everyone's blood; it was exceptionally tough and filled with human resentment.

Gao Yang immediately dismounted, drew two long swords from his waist, and swung them down with both hands, his movements swift and fierce like a hawk.

This swift movement drew cheers from the elite soldiers. This was their general, who always led the charge, brave and invincible.

"Grand Commandant! Grand Commandant!"

Gao Yang wanted to reclaim his dignity. He had won the world through bravery and martial prowess, and he was invincible.

Amidst the surging wind and thunder, the twin blades clashed and struck rapidly, producing three loud "clang clang clang" sounds that made his arms go numb, and his blood instantly boiled and surged.

That's some strength! Even a strong man might not have that kind of strength!

With a single hand wielding her sword, she possessed a power that could not shake a hill, as swift as lightning, snapping trees in two. She had inexhaustible strength, still able to defend herself after enduring countless wars.

Gao Yang pushed off the ground with his back foot, twisted his hips and waist, and launched a cannonball-like slash like a wound-up toy. Guan Zhiwei simply pushed off with one shoulder, swung her arm, and blocked both of his attacks by rotating the blade with the strength of her wrist.

Sparks flew as the metal clashed urgently. Her sparks didn't stop; the knife traced a clean arc, aimed directly at Gao Yang's face, and pressed down with full force.

Gao Yang felt a sudden white light before his eyes. He used all his strength to forcefully raise his sword, and Guan Zhiwei's knife was pushed back, but her leg whip quickly lashed out again.

He could only dodge repeatedly. Seeing that the situation was not good, his personal guards immediately helped him in pairs. Their raised knives temporarily forced back Guan Zhiwei's attack.

This shouldn't be! This shouldn't be!

A sudden doubt arose in Gao Yang's mind: Am I getting old?

The sweat beneath the armor reeked of defeat, washed away again and again by the rain.

The soldiers' cheers had ceased, and under the rain, the faces of the soldiers were blurred, layer upon layer.

Are they questioning whether their general is getting old?

Does the appearance of such an extraordinary woman signify that the fate of the Great Zhou Dynasty is not yet over?

Gao Yang was in a state of utter confusion, and his breathing was already disordered.

Little did Guan Zhiwei know that she was also heartbroken. Her combat skill was at 100, making her virtually invincible. Killing anyone was as easy as killing a chicken. Yet, every time she struck, Gao Yang would block it.

Both of them were filled with grief and indignation, and the two were deadlocked.

"Grand Commandant, please step back and mount your horse!" General Zhi said repeatedly.

Gao Yang gritted his teeth and ultimately withdrew. He was no longer the renowned general who had conquered a region with his bravery in his youth; he was now the Grand Commandant of the Great Zhou Dynasty, possessing a prominent status and position.

He shook off Guan Zhiwei's pursuit and had his personal guards swarm him, clearing a path for himself.

Guan Zhiwei chased after him like a madwoman. Taking advantage of his haste to leave and his momentary lapse in attention, she pulled out a long silver needle from her bosom and threw it out.

A long needle pierced Gao Yang's hair, and a sudden chill ran down his spine. If that arrow had pierced his brain, he would be dead. Fortunately, she missed her target.

Guan Zhiwei aimed with all her might, but was caught off guard and was slashed twice in the back. Blood gushed out instantly, and a storm of blood spread out in a dark red carpet at her feet.

But she still had no intention of backing down; she wanted to prepare for both possibilities.

She was 300 meters away from Gao Yang, then 200 meters, and finally only 100 meters away.

Her gaze remained firm throughout.

Gao Yang retreated to the rear, stood on the vehicle, and exclaimed in admiration: "There are such heroic figures in the world, and I have never met them. It is my fate to die today."

"Grand Commandant, please don't say that," General Zhi solemnly interrupted. He looked coldly at Guan Zhiwei and said, "Even if he is brave, he is just a reckless fool, and he will surely die here today."

A bolt of lightning struck, golden snakes danced wildly, and in an instant, a gale seemed to tear apart the dark sky.

When their eyes met, he felt the same way as Grand Tutor Yuwen.

She will surely disrupt the world; she has the power to seize power.
