Chapter 64 A New Beginning

Gu Lingxiao had almost fully recovered shortly after Gu Lingchuan and the others left.

By the time the all-seeing eye turned its head, Gu Lingxiao had already disappeared.

When Gu Lingxiao arrived at the place he had just left, it had become a hellish place, with severed limbs and blood splattered everywhere.

Fortunately, the battle with the giant alien took place seven or eight kilometers outside the survivor base, where large numbers of aliens were also fighting each other. If the battle had taken place inside the survivor base, it would probably have been leveled long ago.

There are still many, but Gu Lingxiao doesn't plan to make a move now. Among them, there are about ten of the strongest.

These dozen or so aliens were extremely exaggerated in appearance, and the other aliens were no match for them, resulting in a crushing defeat.

Ultimately, only a few of these dozen or so aliens will likely survive.

Gu Lingxiao simply waited for the final winner to emerge before reaping the rewards.

On the other side, Gu Lingchuan went to rescue Lü Ming and his group first. The seven of them were surrounded by more than ten aliens. Lü Ming could have left on his own, but he risked his life to protect the other six.

All six ordinary people were injured to varying degrees, with one girl being more seriously injured; her combat uniform on her chest was stained brown with blood.

His left shoulder bulged out quite a bit, and his arm hung limply.

Gu Lingxiao knew Li Xiaoxue; they had met and spoken a few times before.

"Hold on!" Gu Lingchuan rushed out first, entering the range of the mental attack and instantly freezing all the aliens. Although it was only for a few seconds, Lü Ming seized the opportunity to smash the head of an alien and take out the crystal.

The alien died instantly when the crystal was removed.

Zheng Guohao and Lin Yu arrived shortly after and quickly dealt with the aliens.

"Save her, please save her!" The danger was over, and Lü Ming rushed up and grabbed Gu Lingchuan.

"We don't have any evolutionaries here who specialize in healing." Seeing Lu Ming's dimming gaze, Gu Lingchuan felt a pang of pity, then thought of his younger brother.

“Go west. My younger brother has the ability in this area. There’s still a chance if we find him,” Gu Lingchuan said.

Hope ignited in Lü Ming's eyes.

"Wait a minute, let me say a few words to her," Lin An stopped Lü Ming.

"Can you hear me?" Lin An asked Li Xiaoxue.

Li Xiaoxue nodded slightly.

"If you want to survive, you have to hold on until you meet Brother Xiao. You've survived such a terrifying wave of aliens, it would be a shame to die here. Hold on!" An invisible wave of energy was channeled into Li Xiaoxue.

Her previously deathly pale complexion has improved considerably, and even the bleeding from the area has gradually stopped.

Okay, that's it. Believe in yourself; nothing is impossible.

"Let's go, her life is in your hands now, be quick," Lin An said to Lü Ming.

Lu Ming, who was almost exhausted, suddenly felt a surge of power and instantly regained a lot of his strength.

Lu Ming nodded emphatically and quickly left with Li Xiaoxue on his back.

Many people didn't see Gu Lingxiao's battle with the giant alien. One reason was that he was in danger, and the obstruction of rocks and trees made it even less visible.

The remaining four were all young soldiers, and all of them were injured. After telling them the approximate location, Lin Yu sent out a white cat to guide them back on their own.

The route we took was not dangerous, and the four of us should be able to arrive safely.

They then encountered several more people who were surrounded, some of whom did not last until Gu Lingchuan and his group arrived.

Those who survived until they were rescued were either evolved beings or trained warriors; there wasn't a single ordinary person among them.

It's cruel, it's realistic, but there's no way to change it.

Before they even reached the next rescue location, they encountered Bai Ling, who had arrived on her way.

"You lied to me. Didn't you say you'd be here soon?" Bai Ling's eyes were red, clearly showing signs of crying.

"Let's talk about it when we get back. Let's save people first," Gu Lingchuan said, changing the subject since he didn't know how to respond.

Bai Ling knew the importance of things and didn't say anything but joined the rescue team. Because she hadn't experienced much combat before, Bai Ling was in good condition.

They quickly arrived at the next rescue location.

There were two girls, and only three aliens were chasing them, and none of them were very strong.

One of them was an evolved being, and was the furthest away, almost having escaped the danger zone, so they were ranked last.

"Run this way!" Gu Lingchuan shouted.

Tang Yun and Xiao Ran turned around and saw that face was too familiar. Although it had changed a bit in the few days they hadn't seen it, it should be that person.

All the previous events flashed through their minds. Although they had been tormented terribly before, seeing him now gave them an unparalleled sense of security.

Tang Yun mustered her last bit of strength and, carrying Xiao Ran, rushed towards Gu Lingchuan. "I'm so glad to see you again."

Tang Yun said, panting heavily.

The two of them naturally hid behind Gu Lingchuan, as if they had done this many times before.

This scene made Bai Ling feel a little jealous. Her previous worries turned into envy, and she puffed out her cheeks and charged directly at the three aliens.

The violent beating killed the alien that was chasing after them.

Even Gu Lingchuan, who was moving so fast, didn't have time to react.

"Thank goodness you arrived, otherwise we would have been in danger." Tang Yun and Xiao Ran collapsed to the ground.

Bai Ling stood next to Gu Lingchuan, her hands still stained with alien blood, and wrapped them around Gu Lingchuan's hands, which didn't seem out of place at all.

After all, Gu Lingchuan was covered in blood.

"Thank you for saving us once," Xiao Ran's voice was very soft. Different people would have different feelings when they heard it. For example, Bai Ling felt that the other party was being pretentious and trying to gain sympathy.

"I never thought someone with such a terrible personality like you could have a girlfriend," Tang Yun said bluntly.

Gu Lingchuan patted Bai Ling's hand and said with a smile, "You've mistaken me for someone else. I'm his older brother. We just look a bit alike."

Tang Yun was clearly somewhat skeptical. Gu Lingxiao's personality was truly awful; perhaps he was just trying to make fun of them again.

After recovering from her exhaustion, Xiao Ran observed carefully and found that it was indeed not Gu Lingxiao. Although the two looked very similar, there were subtle differences. These subtle differences could create a big difference in the feeling one gets. This person gave off a gentle and refreshing handsome feeling.

Gu Lingxiao, on the other hand, is an eerie being.

"Sorry, we mistook you for someone else." With her ability to read people, she could naturally tell that the woman next to this man had just misunderstood them, so she had to explain to avoid any potential danger to herself.

"Where did Gu Lingxiao go? He disappeared after taking us to the military survivor base." Directly pointing out Gu Lingxiao's name is the best way to clear up the misunderstanding.

"They're probably fighting the aliens. Hello, I'm his brother, Gu Lingchuan. Let's go, it's not exactly safe here." Gu Lingchuan gave Xiao Ran's question and then led the group back.
