Chapter 10

Chapter 10

Chapter Ten

Shen Xiao was just curious; he craned his neck to look for a while, then looked away and discussed ordering takeout with Xie Wei and Bai Chen.

With three first-team regulars gone, the second team's training room was in complete chaos.

Yuan Shaofeng touched his chest, deeply moved, and said, "Heavens! I just thanked Team Leader Xie, today is definitely going to be a great day for ranking up!"

Bai Ke, a sniper from the second team, walked over and remarked upon hearing this, "Wow, when did Captain Xie start offering this service?"

Yuan Shaofeng gave him a disdainful look: "What do you know? This is called faith."

Xu Ziyan, a big fan of Xie Wei, never expected to meet a fellow fan. He was eager to chat more about the topic, but he was afraid of losing his composure and giving himself away. He opened his mouth, then swallowed his words and just smiled.

Bai Ke said, "Hehe, what use is a mere assault soldier like you to the Bai team? I'm the sniper who's useful." He then looked at Xu Ziyan, smiled, and introduced himself, "Hello, I'm the sniper, KK."

Xu Ziyan sat up straight, about to follow suit and introduce himself, when Bai Ke interrupted him with a smile: "I know you, Ice. You're really good at playing Healer. I've matched with you in ranked games several times. By the way, why don't you stream?"

Players at this level of Resistance, whether casual or professional, almost all have their own livestreaming channel. After all, Resistance has high viewership, is highly entertaining, and is very efficient at making money through livestreaming.

In contrast, Xu Ziyan, who doesn't do live streams or have a Weibo account, seems a bit out of place.

He is so low-key that almost no one knew about his joining TWG's youth training program.

Xu Ziyan smiled sheepishly: "My home computer is slow and doesn't support my live streaming, and I've been too lazy to fix it since."

Bai Ke said, "What about your Weibo? Don't tell me your phone doesn't have enough memory."

Xu Ziyan hesitated for a moment before saying embarrassedly, "Uh, when I first started playing Resistance, I was arguing with other people on Weibo. When I was about to win, the other side tagged a bunch of people and they all started arguing with me. I got angry and uninstalled it. I was too lazy to download it again after that, there was no use for it."

Bai Ke: "..." This reason is quite refreshing.

Yuan Shaofeng said, "Then you didn't sign a live streaming contract either?"

Live streaming contract?

Xu Ziyan, who had legitimately arrived through connections, looked bewildered for a moment, then subconsciously turned to look at Lu Donglou.

Lu Donglou happened to be paying attention to the commotion and quickly stepped forward to smooth things over, saying, "Ice joined the team in a hurry and hasn't had time to arrange these things yet... It's already this late, you should eat whatever you want, we still have training this afternoon."

When they chat, as long as it's not a live stream, no matter what they talk about or how out of line the topics may be, Lu Donglou won't care.

But today was different; Lu Donglou had already interrupted their conversation twice.

Yuan Shaofeng, with his quick wit, immediately sensed something was amiss.

Bai Ke's mind worked even faster. Xu Ziyan had only just been promoted from the youth training program and had gone straight to the second team. Although nominally a substitute, judging from Lao Lu's satisfaction with him, being a starter was practically a done deal. Just now, a few people from the first team even came over to watch... If there was anything fishy about all this, he'd eat shit upside down.

He had a clear mind, but of course he couldn't show it on his face. He smiled and said, "Ice, what are you going to eat later? Want to eat together?"

Xu Ziyan had no objection and nodded in agreement.

The three of them then picked up another member of the second team, Meng Cang, and the four of them went to a restaurant not far away instead of ordering takeout.

After chatting, Xu Ziyan learned that Bai Ke's brother was a commando in the first team, Bai Chen.

Bai Chen is an Alpha, but Bai Ke is a Beta. Bai Ke chuckled and said, "That's quite rare, isn't it?"

Xu Ziyan was perceptive enough to notice that Bai Ke's smile wasn't genuine, so he didn't respond.

Yuan Shaofeng quickly changed the subject: "By the way, Ice, do you know anyone from Team One?"

Xu Ziyan, who still had Xie Wei's mark on the back of her neck, lied through her teeth: "I don't know her, so what?"

"Oh," Yuan Shaofeng said. "After Xiao Shen and the others left, a few more people from Team One came over to look. I thought you knew some of them."

Xu Ziyan replied guiltily, "No."

Yuan Shaofeng said "Oh" and didn't ask any further questions, then lowered his head and ate his rice.

The reason for this was that after Shen Xiao returned to the first team's training room, he exaggerated Xie Wei's absent-minded state and even added some extra details, saying that Xie Wei was amazed by the new medical staff of the second team and was obsessed with them, which is why he acted so strangely.

The team members were so curious after hearing this that they all rushed to see what kind of Omega had made Xie, who never got involved with AO, act so strangely.

Fortunately, the head coach and Xie Wei noticed and stopped everyone, giving them a good scolding, which prevented the area in front of the second team's training room from becoming a "tourist area".

Meng Cang rarely spoke, simply picking up food and eating, occasionally interjecting a word or two to steer the conversation in the right direction.

The table fell silent. He looked up, gazed at Xu Ziyan thoughtfully for a moment, and then suddenly asked, "Ice, is that a tag on the back of your neck?"
