Chapter 107 Maple Leaf
A few days after the autumn hunt, it was Ji Hean’s eighteenth birthday.
Ji Zheng took a day off to take Ji and An out for fun. Of course, the place they went to was the manor where the hot spring was.
After all, the weather is cold now, which is the best time to soak in hot springs.
Of course, the most important thing is to be able to do other things...
Ji Zheng touched Ji and An's furry collars and kissed their noses. "Time flies. My baby is already 18 years old."
While combing your hair, Ji Zheng suddenly realized that his baby had grown taller.
He stretched out his hand to compare Ji and An's heights, and indeed they had grown a lot taller. He then said to the others, "Hmm...it seems that the baby has grown a lot taller."
Hearing this, Ji Hean's eyes lit up and he asked excitedly, "Really?"
"Really." Ji Zheng nodded in affirmative answer, raised his hand and compared Ji Hean's head with his chin, and said: "At that time you only reached my shoulders, now you have reached my chin."
Hearing this, Ji Hean stood up straight and gestured with his hands, "Really! I've grown taller!"
He was so excited that he jumped three times on the ground like a rabbit.
Ji Zheng looked at the person jumping around lovingly, and a smile appeared on his face.
I need to take more supplements recently. It's not good to just grow taller without gaining weight.
After being happy, Ji Hean jumped onto Ji Zheng and hung on him. He stared at Ji Zheng's face for a long time and said, "I feel like you've changed a lot, Alang..."
"Really?" Ji Zheng raised his eyebrows, holding the man with one hand, walked to the bronze mirror, looked at himself for a long time and said, "It seems...it seems to have changed a little."
In fact, he feels that he has not changed, but his baby says that he has changed, so he has changed.
"It's that feeling of having changed but not changed. I can't really put it into words, but it's just different from before..." Ji Hean explained with a frown.
Ji Zheng was confused by this. After thinking for a while, he said hesitantly, "Baby, you mean that my facial features have become more mature, right?"
"Yes, yes, that's right!" Ji Hean nodded hurriedly, his brows suddenly relaxed, and added: "He looks more like an adult."
Hearing this, Ji Zheng didn't know whether to laugh or cry. He originally wanted to pinch the soft flesh around the man's waist, but the man was wearing too many clothes, so he only pinched his clothes.
He slid his hand up along their backs, touched Ji and An's long hair, and asked, "Do you want to tie your hair up today?"
Since the weather turned cold, Ji Hean no longer tied her hair up at home, and her beautiful and smooth hair was left loose all day long.
"No." Ji Hean shook his head, then added, "Wear a hat."
He combed his palms twice, picked up the rabbit fur hat beside him and put it on. The hat was a bit big and immediately covered the remaining half of his face, leaving only two black pearl-like eyes.
Her eyelashes were trembling, which made Ji Zheng's heart itchy. He leaned over and kissed the corner of her eyes lightly.
Ji Hean was already used to such intimate actions and did not show any shyness. Instead, he rubbed his face against Ji Zheng's.
After packing up, the two got on the carriage and set off for the manor.
The village in late autumn is completely different from that in spring. The ground is covered with withered yellow leaves, and most of the trees are left with only bare branches. The weeds on the roadside are also stained with mottled yellow, looking a little bleak.
The sun in late autumn is not as warm as that in spring. As soon as Ji Hean got off the carriage, he was greeted by a gust of autumn wind. The cool wind brushed across his nose, and he couldn't help but sneeze.
"It's still autumn, why does it feel as cold as winter?" he muttered to himself.
Ji Zheng led the group into the yard and said, "Actually, it's almost the same as winter right now, except that it's not snowing."
The charcoal fire had already been lit in the house, and as soon as the two of them entered the house, warmth hit them in the face.
Taking off his cape and hat, Ji Zheng asked, "Are you hungry?"
"It's not bad."
Fortunately, it is optional.
But in Ji Zheng's opinion, the boy was just hungry. After all, he wanted to fatten him up.
"What would you like to eat?"
After frowning and thinking for a while, Ji Hean replied slowly, "I want to eat persimmon cakes and oranges."
"You only eat these two?"
"Uh-huh."
After hearing Ji Hean's answer, Ji Zheng ordered his servants to prepare fresh persimmon cakes and oranges.
After a while, the servant came in with a plate full of bright yellow oranges and soft and glutinous persimmon cakes and placed them on the table.
Ji Zheng picked up an orange, peeled it carefully, and then handed a slice of orange to Ji Hean's mouth. Ji Hean opened his mouth and took a light bite. The sweet and sour juice spread in his mouth, and he squinted his eyes with satisfaction.
Seeing him like this, Ji Zheng's smile deepened as he fed him oranges and told him stories.
After eating an orange, Ji Hean picked up a persimmon cake and started eating it. He took a bite himself and then put a bite into Ji Zheng's mouth.
Ji Zheng played with a strand of his hair and said softly, "Let's go for a walk on the mountain behind the manor later. The maple leaves on the mountain should be at their best by now."
"Okay, okay!" Ji Hean quickly got up from Ji Zheng's arms, nodding like a chicken pecking at rice.
The two of them dressed neatly and walked up the mountain hand in hand.
Occasionally, a few stubbornly blooming wild flowers could be seen in the bushes on both sides of the mountain road. Ji Hean squatted down and looked carefully, while Ji Zheng waited patiently by the side.
When we reached a more open area, the maple leaves around us were as gorgeous as burning clouds, dazzling the eyes.
Ji Hean's attention was instantly attracted. He let go of Ji Zheng's hand and rushed into the maple forest excitedly like a child finding a treasure.
The fallen leaves piled under my feet were thick and soft, and made a crisp "rustling" sound with every step.
He leaned over and picked up a maple leaf. The maple leaf was bright red and shaped like a delicate palm, with clear veins winding through it.
Ji Hean held it high up, facing the sunlight. The sunlight penetrated the maple leaves, creating a circle of warm orange light. He shouted to Ji Zheng excitedly: "Alang, look at this maple leaf, it's so beautiful!"
Seeing the man so happy, Ji Zheng's face was also full of smiles. He walked slowly to the man's side and said, "If you like it, pick some up and take it back."
Ji Hean turned around, gently inserted the maple leaf into Ji Zheng's hair, looked at him and smiled, "Alang looks good like this too."
"But I think the baby looks better in it than me." Ji Zheng relied on his height and picked a maple leaf from the tree next to him and put it in Ji He's hair.
