Chapter 3

Chapter 3

"These messy things of yours are not solid!"

A well-maintained middle-aged man put his arm on the shoulder of a boy of seventeen or eighteen years old.

The boy was wrapped tightly, with a loose coat and two long sleeves overlapping each other. A wide hat covered most of his face, and he wore a black mask on the lower half of his face, which was slightly bulging under the mask, as if something was stuffed in his mouth.

There was a chain hanging around the uncovered neck, not a necklace, because the extra section was in the middle-aged man's hand on the boy's shoulder. It was hard to see without looking closely.

"Don't worry, even a grown man can't break free of this thing. Didn't I tell you to give him some sleeping pills? Why is Xiaobo still awake?"

A white-haired girl stood beside him, roughly pulling at the boy's sleeve to wipe his saliva. The metal strip hidden in the sleeve shone, and the handcuffs collided with each other, making a loud noise.

The middle-aged man immediately slapped the girl's hand away, looked around, and when he saw no one was looking in his direction, he breathed a sigh of relief and glared at the girl.

"All those sleeping pills didn't work. I gave your brother two injections of anesthesia."

Jiang Zhijian watched the man tidying up his brother's clothes and asked, "Dad, will the shelter let Xiaobo in like this? He bit me the day before yesterday."

"What can we do? Let's go and check out the situation first. This time, our family only has three spots. You can come over in the next batch. Don't be afraid if you go alone."

Without waiting for the girl to say anything, the man saw that his son had stopped struggling and said, "I'm going to find your mother, you stay here and look after Xiaobo." Then he left.

Jiang Zhijian had no choice but to hold on to her younger brother who was half a head taller than her. As she watched her father walk away, she turned her eyes back to her younger brother, frowned, and put her hand into the boy's hat.

Ji Dongzang had just turned the corner behind them and watched the excitement. She took a few steps forward, one hand in her pocket, and leaned against the wall, watching the girl fiddling with her hat.

Suddenly, the girl looked up, which scared Ji Dongzang. She had beautiful eyes and frowned as she looked at him. They stared at each other for a moment. The girl looked away first, her eyes resting on Ji Dongzang's earrings.

That was the only thing Jiang Zhijian could see clearly. She was slightly nearsighted, and since it was almost night, there were no lights on the corner. The person opposite her was dressed in black, blending seamlessly into the darkness. She couldn't tell if they had made eye contact. She could only look away, at the only bright spot in the corner's darkness.

It was a highly saturated blue, and it swayed a little bit, becoming bigger and clearer.

Jiang Zhijian looked at the person. She was wearing a mask, revealing only a pair of eyes, which were curved and smiling.

The owner of those eyes was about the same height as her brother, about 175cm. Unlike the one she was supporting, she was thinner and more compact, a woman.

Ji Dongzang approached, and the girl didn't say anything. She lowered her eyes and waited for a while, less than a few seconds. At least in Jiang Zhijian's eyes, she just paused for a moment and then walked away.

Jiang Zhijian watched her leave in confusion.

He looked at Jiang Zhibo who was completely asleep, and supported his younger brother while waiting for his mother and father to come back.

Smoothly enter Lake International.

Ji Dongzang found the post that Xu Jing had posted before, with the coordinates below - 28th floor, Lake International Center.

She couldn't use the elevator, so she had to take the escalator with those who were rushing to buy. They still felt that the escalator was not fast enough, so they had to climb the stairs on the escalator.

Ji Dongzang felt uneasy.

This escalator was three times longer than a normal one. Ahead of her, a woman and a man, carrying shopping bags of varying sizes, stumbled up. She was truly terrified they would fall and take her with them to a foolish death.

After a narrow escape, he reached the 25th floor. There were no escalators above, so Ji Dongzang had no choice but to try his luck at the fire escape. The door wasn't locked, just a safety bolt.

There was a window next to the fire escape door on the 28th floor. No one passed by the window. Ji Dongzang hardened his heart and climbed out of the window.

Fortunately, the glass was embedded inside, and the outer wall was just wide enough for her to rest her feet. She inched inward until she came to a curved glass window. She stuck her head out and looked inside. No one was there. She grabbed the prism next to her with one hand and pulled out her electric baton with the other.

Bang, bang, bang! Bang, bang, bang! Boom!

The glass was too hard, so she had to find a room with windows. Ji Dongzang continued to climb along the curved glass, but when she was halfway through, her forehead was covered with sweat.

She was in the exact center, with the same distance on both sides. Ji Dongzang had no choice but to grit his teeth and crawl forward.

She suddenly stood still.

Someone came in, just one person, in a wheelchair.

Ji Dongzang tried hard to reduce his presence and act as a mascot.

Wen Lan, who was not blind, still looked over.

Ji Dongzang really hoped that this man had a heart disease and could be scared to death by her.

Wen Lan was relatively calm. She thought the person outside was quite funny. They were so timid that they tried to climb through the window like a human. When she looked over, the person almost fell backward in fright.

She slowly slid her wheelchair and opened the window closest to the boy.

Wen Lan wanted to reach out and pull the boy.

"Sister, please step back."

The boy's voice drifted in on the breeze, clear and crisp. Just like her, it was hard to tell whether he was male or female.

Wen Lan stepped back according to her.

Ji Dongzang saw Wen Lan was a little further away, so she jumped in. Cold air rushed in, entering the warm room, and she immediately turned around and closed the window.

Dong

bang bang bang bang

The electric baton in Ji Dongzang's sleeve fell out.

She looked at Wen Lan.

I saw her moving a little further away from me.

Ji Dongzang quickly raised his hands in a gesture of surrender. He shook his head and said, "I mean no harm."

"Thank you for letting me in. I had to do this for a reason."

Ji Dongzang's explanation was mixed with thanks.

"Sit down and talk." Wen Lan smiled and slid in.

Ji Dongzang quickly picked up the electric baton.

"Can I push you?" Ji Dongzang bent down and asked her.

"I'm sorry, I'm not used to using a wheelchair yet." She looked very gentle. While pushing the wheelchair, Ji Da Huyou was thinking about how to make up a story.

"I'm Ji Dongzang, Dong means winter. What about you?" Ji Dongzang took off his windbreaker and covered the electric baton on the sofa.

"My name is Wen Lan. I'm curious about you outside the window...what is this?" She smiled gently, just like her name, without any aggression.

Wen Lan pushed the fruit plate towards Ji Dongzang and listened quietly to her story.

"I have a younger brother who's mutated and cannibalizes people. But my mom and dad wanted to take him to a shelter. There were only three spots in our family, so my mom wanted me to go with my dad and brother. I was scared, and no matter how much I tried to persuade them, they wouldn't listen. They wanted to force me to go to the shelter, saying it was for my own good. Do you think that's okay? I didn't want to die, so I ran away. They kept trying to take me back, so I had to climb out the window from the 25th floor in desperation."

"And that electric baton, that's my brother's. He loves to go out and fight, so it's a bunch of tatters. I have to find a weapon to protect myself."

Ji Dongzang sat on the soft sofa in the comfortable temperature, eating the fruit Wen Lan brought him, like a sated lion.

Wen Lan looked at her curiously. She seemed very heartless. "You can stay here and wait for your mother and father to leave."

"No need, Wen Lan, a sister of mine asked me to come to the 28th floor to find her. It took up a lot of time, and she must be waiting anxiously." Ji Dongzang said as he put on his windbreaker, took his equipment and left.

Enemies often meet on a narrow road.

As soon as Ji Dongzang came out, she saw Xu Jing walking towards her. Xu Jing looked her up and down but didn't recognize her.

Ji Dongzang followed him, she did not dwell on the fact that the murderer could not recognize the victim's family, she just wanted to kill him quickly. In the past, she was always waiting.

Now, with her enemy right before her eyes, she couldn't wait even a second longer.

"Hey. I'm calling you!"

In front of the toilet door, Ji Dongzang, who was in a trance, was grabbed by the collar by Xu Jing.

"Let go, what are you doing!"

Ji Dongzang frowned and grabbed Xu Jing's hand that was pulling her collar, trying to pull it away.

Xu Jing pulled Ji Dongzang and pushed him into the toilet.

"Go, clean the toilet for me."

The two of them pushed each other into the bathroom, neither of them hearing the slight friction sound of the wheels rolling over the carpet.

Wen Lan wanted to go over and see what was going on, but the carpet was not suitable for a wheelchair to slide on. She could only shout Ji Dongzang's name.

At this time, a fight had already broken out in the toilet.

After they went in, Xu Jing closed the door.

Ji Dongzang took this opportunity to shock Xu Jing's neck. Xu Jing felt the pain and immediately turned around and kicked Ji Dongzang, covering his neck with one hand and rummaging inside his coat with the other.

At the same time that Ji Dongzang was kicked, he swung the electric baton and hit Xu Jing on the head. She opened the electric baton latch, intending to follow up with a stab wound to Xu Jing, but when she looked up, she saw a pistol, the dark muzzle in front of her.

Xu Jing covered his dizzy and nauseous head.

Pull the trigger.

Bang, bang.

Two shots, Ji Dongzang didn't even dodge.

Too fast, too close to her. The loud noise brought Ji Dongzang back to his senses.

It can be seen that Xu Jing's spear skills are accurate. Fortunately, he is dizzy and dazed now, so he performed a master's outlining performance for Ji Dongzang.

The bullet grazed Ji Dongzang's ear, broke through the air, and shot through the toilet partition.

Her ears are still buzzing, but her mind is clear.

Seeing Xu Jing cursing and pointing the gun at himself, he was about to shoot.

Ji Dongzang quickly bent Xu Jing's wrist and pointed the gun at himself. With his other hand, he held up the electric baton with the blade exposed and chopped it into Xu Jing's head quickly, accurately and fiercely.

He was still struggling violently. In a panic, Xu Jing pulled the trigger of his pistol.

Bang

The last sound.

Xu Jing killed himself.

Right in the heart.

He fell to the ground.

Blood gushed out from the broken wound, like a stuck water dispenser, making gurgling sounds from time to time.

This was the scene Wen Lan saw when she opened the door.

The young man with a crew cut supported himself with one hand on the wall and kept the other hand hanging down in a grip position. There was not much blood on her body, only a few drops of blood.

The baseball cap that fell during the fight was between the two men and was almost soaked in each other's blood.

Ji Dongzang's earrings were shaking violently, and her heart was beating very fast, but Xu Jing's stopped.

Realizing that the tightly closed door was opened, she immediately pulled out the electric baton that had stabbed Xu Jing's head. Blood splattered violently, her entire right arm was wet, and her nostrils were filled with the smell of blood.

Ji Dongzang straightened up and looked at the person who came.

Wen Lan.

She was very close, and was inevitably splashed with blood. Ji Dongzang lowered his eyes and saw a drop of blood flow down Wen Lan's pale hand into the wheel and disappeared...

She raised her eyes and met Wen Lan's, her eyes were quite dull.

Ji Dongzang felt like laughing. Did Wen Lan think he was going to kill someone to silence them?

She really laughed, full of passion and laughter.

She is relaxed at the moment.

drop!

The watch vibrates.

Eight o'clock sharp.

It is the recent closing time of Lake International.

It is also the time when the second group of elites go to the refuge.

The big sale is over, and the Lake International Center has completed its mission...
