Four smiling elders sat together.
Two leaders were present at the ceremony.
In addition, there were the couple's closest friends.
This salute was by no means shabby.
Compared to the lively wedding during the day, the tea ceremony now appears more festive and solemn.
"Old man, I'll be your witness at the wedding."
A leader in his fifties stood up.
His eyes were smiling, and his tone was very solemn as he announced, "The newlyweds pay their respects to Heaven and Earth."
Lin Ruifeng and his companion immediately turned towards the door and bowed in greeting.
"The newlyweds pay respects to their parents."
The two turned around and bowed to each other.
"The newlyweds say goodbye!"
The two bowed to each other face to face.
"The newlyweds serve tea to their parents!"
Lin Xinyue brought forward four cups of tea.
The two first served tea to Chen's parents, and then to Lin's parents.
The four elders each gave the young couple a large red envelope.
The two senior leaders who stayed to observe the ceremony were also served tea by the newlyweds.
The two former leaders smiled broadly, their eyes practically disappearing, and happily presented the red envelopes as a token of their blessings.
Although this tea ceremony wasn't very formal, it was still very well-organized for such a time.
She was definitely not a bride who was wronged.
Next, another banquet was held for those who stayed to watch the ceremony.
Before they left, they were given a souvenir.
The wedding ended perfectly.
Chen Xinyue and her older brother Chen Yunzhou went back with their uncle and aunt.
"Moon, come sit down and let's talk."
Chief Chen invited his niece and niece to sit down.
He's been busy with other things these past few days and hasn't had a proper chance to talk to his niece who survived the ordeal.
Mrs. Chen pulled her niece to sit down, saying, "Thank you so much for your help today. I'll have your sister and brother-in-law give you a big red envelope to thank you later."
"Auntie, isn't it only right that family members help each other?"
Chen Xinyue smiled and said, "I'm happy to be able to help, and I'm also happy for Sister Qin'er."
"Your sister's life is finally settled."
Madam Chen smiled and nodded, looking at her equally outstanding niece, "What are your plans, girl? Have you found someone you like?"
"No."
Chen Xinyue shook her head directly, "I've never thought about this. I'll talk about it when I meet the right person."
Besides, I haven't been to Xiangdu yet, and I won't be considering this issue for at least the next two or three years.
"That's true."
Mrs. Chen, who was also in the know, suppressed her smile and sighed softly, "It's tough for you, a young woman, to face these things. You need to be careful."
"Aunt, I will."
Chen Xinyue nodded in response.
"I'll send two people to take you to Xiangdu."
Seeing his niece's resolute expression, Chief Chen couldn't help but nod in approval. "A man and a woman, both quite skilled, protecting you won't be a problem."
They're all on our side, just don't mistreat them.
"I will remember my uncle."
Chen Xinyue looked grateful.
She knew very well that with these two helpers, her safety in Xiangdu was absolutely guaranteed.
"You're quite lucky."
A hint of pity flashed in Chief Chen's eyes, "After such a serious incident, you were able to escape with your life, and then you met your brother-in-law's sister, which finally helped you recover."
"Yes, if it weren't for Jingyu, even if I hadn't died, it wouldn't have been so easy for me to regain my memories."
Chen Xinyue's tone was full of hope, "As for what fate awaits me, it's hard to say."
"Those who survive a great disaster will surely be blessed in the future."
Madam Chen embraced the person beside her, saying, "Our Yue'er's ordeal is over. From now on, everything will go smoothly and peacefully for her."
"Thank you, Auntie."
Chen Xinyue's nose felt a little sore.
She has not felt maternal love since her mother passed away.
Now, nestled in her aunt's arms, she felt it.
"Why thank me when we're family?"
Mrs. Chen patted her on the back and gently comforted her, "Don't forget, we are all family."
"Your aunt is right."
A cold glint flashed in Chief Chen's eyes. "Some people have to pay the price. We, the Chen family, are not so easily bullied."
"Uncle is right."
Chen Yunzhou looked at his sister with a guilty expression, "Yue'er, after you go to Xiangdu, don't rush to take revenge. First, establish yourself."
"Once you have a certain amount of influence in Xiangdu, then you can slowly plot your revenge."
"Big brother, I know what to do."
Chen Xinyue nodded gently, "Don't worry, I won't do anything reckless, nor will I let them off easily."
"We'll see what you do."
Chief Chen could tell that his niece was no ordinary person.
I believe this girl won't disappoint everyone.
He immediately changed the subject, "Tell us about your experiences in Shuibu Village."
And tell us about your girlfriends too.
"good."
Chen Xinyue began by recounting her experience of going to Shuibu Village.
The three people present listened attentively.
They all looked thoughtful.
After talking for a long time, I finally managed to recount what had happened.
"Why do I feel..."
Chen Yunzhou couldn't help but mutter, "There are quite a few hidden talents in the educated youth compound in Shuibu Village."
"good."
Chief Chen smiled slightly, "At least the first two or three batches of educated youth who just arrived were not ordinary people; they should not be children from ordinary families."
What were Yue'er's thoughts on those girls?
"Does Uncle mean Jingyu, Shiyu, Shujue, Qiuyue, and the other two?"
"Great, tell us how you feel."
"Them~"
