"Need not."
Lin Jingyu shook her head. "We just had lunch at the Armed Forces Department's canteen."
The two came to the kitchen.
I started processing the things I bought.
While busy, Lin Jingyu recounted the events of the day.
"Really?"
Peng Shiyu was astonished, "How could anyone be targeting Qian Zhiqing?"
"It must be that the work of Qian Zhiqing's family members is more important."
Lin Jingyu gently reminded him, "You know that our country has many talented people who dedicate themselves silently and selflessly. Spies and traitors do not want our country to become strong."
You don't necessarily mean they've been secretly sabotaging and harming people all along.
Just like the Red Armband members who caused trouble, weren't there people behind the scenes pulling the strings and orchestrating things to specifically target and persecute talented individuals like us?
"I see."
Peng Shiyu suddenly realized, "The spy/insider wants to capture Qian Zhiqing to threaten his elders, right?"
Lin Jingyu nodded. "Most likely."
"Oh no, Sister Jingyu!"
Peng Shiyu suddenly thought of something and her expression became anxious. "Qian Zhiqing is living with the Japanese soldier. What if he discovers Qian Zhiqing's identity and harms him?"
"It shouldn't be detected for the time being."
Lin Jingyu looked helpless. "Besides, there's nothing we can do. Now it's up to Lord An to decide how to handle it."
“I think it would be dangerous for Qian Zhiqing to stay here.”
Peng Shiyu couldn't help but worry, "I heard that the Japanese are now suspecting that the culprits who injured him are very likely Qian Zhiqing and Wang Zhiqing."
What if the Japanese devils, just to vent their anger, killed them all?
"We can't solve it."
Lin Jingyu really didn't dare to gamble on whether the Japanese would let the two of them go.
Then he added, "We'll talk to Grandpa about this later and see if we can find a way to relocate Qian Zhiqing to another place."
"I think this is the best approach."
Peng Shiyu nodded in agreement, "If we were really harmed by the Japanese devils, it would be too unfair to the Qian family."
"We cannot make that decision."
Lin Jingyu said, "Let the elders worry about it; I'm sure they'll handle it."
"Um."
Peng Shiyu nodded.
She understood that the elders had considered things more comprehensively in some ways.
It would be best to let the elders make the arrangements.
"By the way, did you feed the chickens at noon?"
Lin Jingyu realized that more than half a day had passed and she hadn't fed the chickens yet.
"I've fed you."
Peng Shiyu immediately responded, "Sister Jingyu, are there more chickens now? There are dozens of big chickens and dozens of chicks."
Fortunately, we feed the chickens plenty of vegetable leaves every day; otherwise, they would need a lot of grain to feed them.
"It's okay, I just feed them some corn kernels each time."
Lin Jingyu casually replied, "We can harvest the corn from our private plot these past two days, enough to feed our chickens."
After a while, we can slaughter a batch of large chickens to make preserved chicken, and keep a few large chickens to eat fresh.
"Yes, the chicks will grow up quickly."
How many pieces of clothing have you made for inventory?
"There are over two hundred items already. When is your older cousin coming over?"
"I don't know, but it should be soon."
...
As they talked, they were almost finished with their work.
After Yang Shujue arrived.
They went to Peng Shiyu's house and helped her make clothes.
Wait until dinner time in the evening.
Lin Jingyu mentioned the matter of Qian Zhiqing to her grandfather.
When Grandpa Zhang found out, he was somewhat surprised.
He reassured the two girls that he would discuss how to resolve the issue.
Lin Jingyu and Peng Shiyu have completely let go of this matter.
The next day.
They continued their classes.
"Qiuyue, what's wrong?"
Lin Jingyu noticed that he looked listless. "Are you feeling unwell? You don't seem to be in good spirits."
"Yes, Qiuyue, why do you look so pale?"
Yang Shujue looked her over a few times, puzzled. "You two went to steal something last night, why do you look like you haven't woken up yet?"
Peng Shiyu also asked, "Is Qiuyue having trouble sleeping?"
Wu Xiaoxiao glanced at her but didn't take it seriously at all.
"I don't have insomnia."
Mu Qiuyue rubbed her forehead, trying to wake herself up. "It's not that I slept for a long time, it's like I can't wake up at all."
I go to bed after dinner every night, but I feel like I haven't slept enough until the next morning.
I'm feeling sleepy and want to go to sleep even before class starts.
"No way."
Yang Shujue's eyes widened. "You're about to become a sleeping god! You went to bed early last night, and it's only been a short time since you got up. Are you going to sleep again?"
"Yes, I just feel really sleepy."
Mu Qiuyue was very distressed. "I sleep during the day and at night, but no matter how long I sleep, I feel sleepy again soon after I get up."
"This is very abnormal."
Peng Shiyu couldn't help but worry, "Qiuyue, are you sick? Only sick people would have this problem."
"Get ill?"
Mu Qiuyue was taken aback. "It shouldn't be. Apart from feeling sleepy, I don't have any problems. How could I be sick?"
And I have a pretty good appetite; I can eat two bowls of rice at each meal.
I don't think it's an illness; it's probably just that I've been quite tired lately. With some rest, I'll recover and be fine.
"You don't look sick to me."
Lin Jingyu had a guess in her mind and reminded her, "It would be best if you went to Dr. Niu's house after class and let Dr. Niu give you a proper diagnosis."
