Lin Jingyu waved to her and headed in another direction.
The two parted ways and went their separate ways.
Lin Jingyu did not go directly to the Lu family, but headed towards the train station.
As I approached the street near the station, a woman carrying a vegetable basket came towards me.
"Hey, little sister~"
The woman smiled with delight. "It's you! You've come to the county town to visit your cousin and his wife again today?"
"Aunt Song, it's you!"
Lin Jingyu did not recognize the other person immediately.
It was only when he heard her voice that he remembered that this woman had sat next to him when he took the bus to the county town last time.
The two sat side by side and talked for quite a while.
Since the two were not sitting face to face, Lin Jingyu did not have a very deep impression of her; on the contrary, her voice was more familiar.
He greeted her with a smile, "Are you going to buy groceries?"
"Yes, we don't have much food at home. I'll go see if I can buy some to take back."
Aunt Song nodded.
His gaze, however, fell upon her basket on her back, and he unconsciously revealed a look of anticipation.
"Aunt Song, I brought some vegetables, would you like to take a look?"
I didn't intend to sell anything to them.
Thinking that he would have to ask others for information, he took the initiative to ask.
"You brought something?"
A hint of joy flashed in Aunt Song's eyes.
She couldn't help but look around, then deliberately lowered her voice and said, "Little sister, if you trust your aunt, come with me to my house, okay?"
"Aunt Song, where is your home...?"
"It's not far ahead."
"Okay, I'll do as you say."
"Okay, okay, come with me quickly."
Aunt Song beamed and led her back the way they came.
Sure enough, it wasn't far; her home was in the courtyard at the street corner.
Once inside the courtyard, I brought her a bamboo chair.
"Please have a seat, young lady."
Aunt Song greeted her politely, "I'll get you a glass of water."
Lin Jingyu quickly called out to her, "Aunt Song, don't be so polite, I'll just sit here."
