Xia Chen frowned slightly, his fingers digging into his palm, using the pain to keep himself rational.
Xia Chen couldn't understand why Xie Yuanping treated her and Xia Xinxin so differently.

"Dad, I'm really confused. Why have you only ever protected Xia Xinxin since she was little? Now that Chuyue has returned to the Xia family, you haven't shown any concern at all?"
Xia Chen smiled, half tentatively and half jokingly, as she looked at Xie Yuanping.
"Could it be that Chuyue and I are not your children, but Xia Xinxin is?"
Upon hearing this, Xia Xinxin and Xie Yuanping's expressions changed instantly.
However, both of them were adept at pretending, and they quickly adjusted their expressions, as if they hadn't heard anything at all.
"What are you saying?! You've had a brother-sister relationship with Xinxin for so many years, have you completely stopped caring about her? How come I never noticed before, Xia Chen, you're far too cold-blooded!"
"I'm good to Xinxin because I've come to love her as my own daughter!"
Xie Yuanping sighed deeply, his eyes filled with sorrow, as if he were extremely disappointed in his eldest son.
"I never imagined that you would grow into such a selfish and heartless person in places I couldn't see."
Xie Yuanping is particularly good at moral blackmail. The way he said it made it seem like Xia Chen's bad treatment of Xia Xinxin was a huge mistake.

"Xia Xinxin is your daughter, but isn't Chu Yue? Doesn't what you've done hurt Chu Yue's feelings? Why do you treat your two daughters differently?"
Xia Chen's words directly tore away Xie Yuanping's facade, delivering a merciless blow.
Xie Yuanping's face immediately turned red, his mouth opened wide, and he pointed at Xia Chen.
"You, you...you're driving me crazy! When did you learn to talk back to your father?!"
Xia Chen smiled when he saw Xie Yuanping avoiding the question.
"Are you afraid of something because you're not giving a direct answer?"
Xie Yuanping was so angry that his chest heaved up and down, he was panting heavily, and his eyes showed a hint of panic and resentment.
Xia Chen and Xia Chuyue truly are worthy of being siblings!
A few months ago, Xia Chuyue had the same cold and arrogant expression, leaving Xie Yuanping speechless.
