Chapter 39 Resistance

The next day, Wang Xiuxiu arrived at the embroidery room a little later than usual.

Not long after I sat down in front of the embroidery frame, the embroiderer in blue from yesterday came over with a tray of colorful embroidery threads.

However, unlike yesterday, the embroiderer in green seemed to be in a bad mood today. She was too lazy to even say a word, and only gave Wang Xiuxiu a look before turning and leaving.

Wang Xiuxiu was never a good-tempered person.

In order to maintain his image within the Wang family over the past two years, he has been holding back from making a scene.

Now that they've left that environment, and are being bullied like this again, they naturally can no longer tolerate it.

"What are you doing?" Wang Xiuxiu asked irritably, her tone deliberately tinged with displeasure.

The embroiderer in green glanced at Wang Xiuxiu disdainfully, "Separating threads! You have no sense at all. I don't know how someone as stupid as you grew up!"

After saying that, he put on an extremely disgusted expression.

"What business is it of yours how I grew up? I didn't eat your rice!" Wang Xiuxiu was furious. She stood up abruptly, pointed at the embroiderer in green, and shouted, "You have some sense! When the manager asked about the situation yesterday, why didn't you dare to say a word? Solve your own problems and stop bothering me!"

"You...you!" The embroiderer in green was clearly surprised that Wang Xiuxiu dared to contradict her, and her face turned red with anger.

"Can't you understand human language? I'm warning you, I already tolerated you yesterday. From now on, don't even think about bullying me! Those with nothing to lose aren't afraid of those wearing shoes. If you push me too far, we'll fight to the death!"

Wang Xiuxiu did not back down, her eyes flashing with anger that made her want to tear the blue-clothed embroiderer apart.

Someone who was close to the embroiderer in green saw the tension between the two escalating and quickly stepped forward, dragging and pulling her away.

Wang Xiuxiu's offense to her was not a spur-of-the-moment act.

Among these embroiderers, apart from a few who were malicious and deliberately bullied me, most of the others simply didn't care and preferred to mind their own business.

They were unwilling to play the role of instigators and disliked, but deep down they hoped to share in the benefits.

Wang Xiuxiu saw through this, which is why she had the courage to confront the embroiderer in green.

That embroiderer in green was clearly a narrow-minded person.

Now that we have offended her, we will surely face retaliation in the future.

But this kind of person has a completely black heart. If she keeps tolerating him, she'll probably have an even harder time in the future.

Wang Xiuxiu's resistance was quickly met with rejection and isolation from all the embroiderers, led by the blue-clad embroiderer.

These embroiderers were hostile towards her, not only refusing to communicate with her, but also deliberately ignoring and neglecting her.

That day, Wang Xiuxiu returned to her seat after lunch as usual, only to find that the embroidery she had finished that morning had been cut into a mess.

Wang Xiuxiu's heart sank. Looking around, she saw the embroiderer in green standing proudly with her head held high, her eyes full of provocation.

The other embroiderers, though not as obviously as the one in blue, all wore expressions of sly smiles.

Needless to say, it was definitely one of their pranks.

This is not the first time this has happened.

These past few days, they've either "accidentally" messed up her embroidery thread or "accidentally" spilled a cup of tea on her while she was halfway through her embroidery.

Last night, she even secretly locked the door while I was out washing up, trying to shut myself out.

How could Wang Xiuxiu let them have their way!

They banged on the door so hard it was deafening.

If she doesn't sleep, nobody can get a good night's rest!

Wang Xiuxiu gritted her teeth inwardly, but her face remained calm.

She didn't react immediately, but silently picked up the damaged embroidery.

Should we go and complain to Manager Su?

This obviously won't work.

Having just arrived and having no connections in this embroidery workshop, and with so many of them being elderly, I knew that if I went to complain, I would likely not get away with it. I would probably just get a scolding from Steward Su and have to pay for the silk thread.

This isolated and helpless situation undoubtedly puts immense psychological pressure on Wang Xiuxiu.

But it was precisely this pressure that ignited her inner fighting spirit.

If you want to deter those who cause trouble, you still need to have some real assets!

For Wang Xiuxiu, her most valuable asset is her exquisite embroidery skills.

She originally planned to work quietly at Jinxiufang and earn a living.

But given the current situation, it's clear that things won't go as planned.
