As dusk settled, the carriage rumbled along the rugged mountain road.
Wang Xiuxiu sat in the carriage, her fingertips digging tightly into her palms, but her face remained calm.
The scenery outside the car window gradually became desolate, with a gray-black building looming in the twilight in the distance.
It stands alone on the edge of the cliff, shrouded in twilight, like a lurking beast, ready to devour its prey at any moment.
Zhou Yun'an sat beside her, his fingers gently twirling a strand of her hair, his tone almost eerily tender: "Do you like it? That's 'Forget-Worry Pavilion,' the bridal chamber I specially prepared for you. Tomorrow night..."
He paused, a cruel smile playing on his lips. "We'll consummate our marriage right there."
Wang Xiuxiu's blood almost congealed.
This is the true revenge of this vindictive person!
"You're insane," Wang Xiuxiu said coldly, her voice trembling slightly.
Zhou Yun'an chuckled softly: "Crazy? No, I just finally got what I truly wanted."
"Zhou Yun'an," Wang Xiuxiu spoke slowly, her voice as cold as ice, "Doing this will only make me hate you more."
Zhou Yun'an chuckled softly, his fingers tracing her cheek: "Hate? Hate is an emotion too, better than indifference."
He leaned close to her ear, his warm breath brushing against her neck, "Besides, after tomorrow night, you won't be thinking about Lu Jingze anymore."
Wang Xiuxiu abruptly turned her head away, her eyes flashing coldly: "You're dreaming."
His hand slowly moved down, gripping her chin and forcing her to look at the approaching building: "Lu Jingze can't save you, no one can."
The carriage finally came to a stop, and the entire Forget-Worry Pavilion came into view.
This is a solitary building built on the edge of a cliff, surrounded by steep cliffs, with only a narrow mountain path for passage.
Several masked guards stood around the pavilion, each with a sinister look in their eyes, and were on high alert.
It is truly an elaborately crafted prison.
Zhou Yun'an got out of the car first and extended his hand to her: "Come on, my bride."
Wang Xiuxiu gave him a cold glance, then lifted her skirt and got off the carriage.
Gazing into the distance, the night breeze stirred, lifting the hem of her dress.
"Don't even think about escaping." Zhou Yun'an chuckled. "There are cliffs on three sides here."
Wang Xiuxiu did not answer, but silently followed him into the attic.
At this moment, she must remain calm!

Meanwhile, in the dense forest outside Dayong Mountain.
Lu Jingze stood inside the makeshift tent, with a simple topographical map spread out in front of him.
His fingertips pressed heavily on the "Forget-Worry Pavilion" sign, his eyes chillingly cold.
"Your Highness, a scout reports," a lieutenant general of the personal guard whispered, "It's said that they're going to..."
"I know what he's going to do," Lu Jingze interrupted him, his voice filled with suppressed rage.
He closed his eyes, forcing himself to calm down.
Wang Xiuxiu is still in Zhou Yun'an's hands; he can't act impulsively.
But the thought of the humiliation she might suffer almost consumed his reason with rage!
"How are the preparations for the mountain assault going?" he asked in a cold voice.
"Everything is arranged. All archers are in position. Once the signal is given, we will launch a full-scale attack! But..." the lieutenant hesitated, "The Forget-Worry Pavilion is situated in a treacherous location. A direct assault might injure the concubine."
Lu Jingze slammed his fist on the table: "Then let's outsmart them!"
He stared at the map, then suddenly his gaze sharpened: "Here—" He pointed to a hidden path, "Climb up the cliff behind the mountain, it leads straight to the back of the pavilion."
The lieutenant was startled: "But that's almost a vertical cliff!"
"Therefore, Zhou Yun'an won't be on guard," Lu Jingze said coldly. "Select twenty elite soldiers to accompany me on a night raid."
"Your Highness! You cannot personally take such a dangerous risk!"
Lu Jingze raised his eyes, his gaze icy and sharp: "My lover is there."
These few words, though brief, resonated deeply.
The lieutenant dared not offer any further advice and could only obey the order and leave.
Lu Jingze stood alone inside the tent, gazing at the "Forget-Worry Pavilion" faintly visible in the distance, his eyes blazing with murderous intent.
—Zhou Yun'an, you're asking for it!

Inside the Forget-Worry Pavilion.
Wang Xiuxiu was taken to a room on the top floor.
The room was decorated in an extremely eerie way—bright red wedding candles, brocade quilts embroidered with mandarin ducks, everywhere exuding a festive atmosphere, yet giving people the creeps.
"Do you like this new house?" Zhou Yun'an stood at the door, his smile chilling. "I prepared it especially for you."
Wang Xiuxiu looked at him coldly: "You think you can break me like this?"
Zhou Yun'an walked slowly closer and reached out to touch her face, but she turned her head away.
He wasn't annoyed, he just chuckled softly: "Destroy you? No, I want to possess you."
He leaned close to her ear and whispered, "Once I catch Lu Jingze, I'll let you see him one last time."
"Get out!" Wang Xiuxiu finally couldn't hold back and shouted angrily.
Zhou Yun'an narrowed his eyes, grabbed her wrist, and slammed her onto the bed!
Wang Xiuxiu struggled to get up, but he held her down firmly.
Wang Xiuxiu was in pain, but stubbornly refused to make a sound, only staring coldly at him.
After a brief standoff, Zhou Yun'an suddenly released his grip and sneered, "Don't worry, I'm very patient. Tomorrow is our wedding day..."
He then waved his hand, "Take your wife to rest. I want her to look beautiful at tomorrow's wedding."
Two maids immediately stepped forward and respectfully helped Wang Xiuxiu into the pavilion.
