Su Le lay in bed, tossing and turning like a fried fish, unable to fall asleep. Her mind raced, and the more she thought about it, the more bizarre it all seemed. As soon as she touched on any crucial issue, that mysterious system vanished like a ghost, leaving no trace. This kind of situation had never been seen in any of the novels she had read; it was completely beyond her comprehension and imagination.
One bed could not accommodate four people, so Li Zichen had no choice but to sleep in another room.
With big dark circles under his eyes, Su Le forced himself to be energetic and took the two neatly dressed little babies to the bathroom to wash up.
Su Nuoyi and Xu Jiaojiao hadn't returned yet and were still attending classes at school, with Xu Jiaojiao accompanying her. Xia Le was busy as the director of the garment factory. Without Su Fugui around to play chess with him, Xu Sheng could only read a book in boredom.
Everyone at the Su residence couldn't help but laugh when they saw the obvious dark circles under Su Fugui and Su Le's eyes. Li Xueyao, even more innocent, asked directly, "Mom, Grandpa, where have you been? Why didn't you sleep well?"
Su Le looked embarrassed and tried to change the subject: "Yaoyao will go to school in September this year."
At this time, Xiongying came over and whispered in Su Le's ear, "The manned space flight will be launched tomorrow. Mr. Huo asked someone to ask if he should go for another inspection. He is not very confident about others. Su Bei is waiting at the door."
Su Le nodded solemnly and responded, "Okay, I understand." Li Xueyao and Li Chuyang seemed to realize the importance of the matter, their big eyes fixed on Su Le. Su Le looked at Li Zichen helplessly, then said to the others, "I need to check if there is any problem with the equipment. I will be back in a few days."
Su Fugui looked at Su Le with a look of concern and worry: "Then be careful. Don't force yourself to work anymore, just direct others to do it."
Chen Yao looked at her with eyes full of heartache and said with emotion: "I really hope you can still be that carefree little girl with nothing to do."
Su Le nodded heavily, gave Chen Yao a reassuring look, then he and Li Zichen walked out with the two children and got into the car.
Su Bei looked at Su Le, whose complexion had slightly improved but still looked tired, and asked with concern, "Are you feeling better?"
Su Le smiled and nodded: "Much better."
Su Bei dropped them off at the launch base, then returned to a more distant location with the children and Li Zichen. Su Le, along with numerous maintenance personnel, meticulously inspected every facility, paying close attention to every detail. They toiled until midnight, finally completing this arduous task. The children slept in the car, while Li Zichen remained outside, his gaze fixed on the figure toiling away in the night.
Su Bei and Xiong Ying stood on both sides of the car, looking serious and focused.
Su Le walked over slowly and tiredly. Su Bei said to Su Le, "Mr. Huo has prepared a place for you to stay in the nearby area. You can stay there first and watch the launch ceremony together tomorrow."
Su Le nodded and then asked, "Okay, I understand. Will Mr. Huo come tomorrow?"
Su Bei shook his head and explained: "They are watching in the command room. If there is any problem, you can arrive at the scene as soon as possible."
Su Le nodded in understanding and said, "I understand."
Su Bei drove the car, overloaded with several people, to several makeshift houses. These houses were simply built and only suitable for short-term living.
This time, the two children did not force themselves to follow Su Le, and slept in the same room with Li Zichen obediently. Su Le silently summoned the system in his heart.
"System, system."
"Host, what's the matter?"
"Can you tell me for sure what you are?"
However, the system fell silent again and did not respond at all.
Seeing that the system remained silent again, Su Le gritted his teeth in anger: "What is this? It's always like this. You pretend to be dumb when the critical moment comes!"
However, no matter how angry Su Le was, the system still did not give any response.
Su Le sighed deeply in helplessness. He was extremely depressed. He lay down on the bed, tossing and turning but couldn't fall asleep.
In the early morning, soft sunlight filtered through the flimsy windows of the makeshift house, casting dappled shadows. Su Le had gotten up early, her eyes gleaming with determination and focus as she prepared for this crucial manned space launch.
Li Zichen and her two children also woke up. Rubbing their sleepy eyes, their faces still a little confused, the children asked, "Mom, is the launch going to happen today?" Su Le smiled and nodded, gently reaching out and touching their little heads, as if to pass on strength and reassurance to them.
Everyone arrived at the launch site. The atmosphere was tense and solemn, as if even the air itself had frozen. Su Le stared intently at the data displayed on the various instruments, her palms sweating slightly. She was well aware of the importance of this mission.
As the countdown sounded clearly and forcefully, everyone's heart rose to their throat, as if being tightly grasped by an invisible giant hand.
"Ten, nine, eight, seven..." The countdown was as shocking as the sound of war drums.
The rocket ignited and took off. A huge roar erupted instantly, as if it was going to break through the sky, shaking the hearts and bodies of everyone present.
Su Le nervously observed the data without blinking, his hands unconsciously clenched, and he silently prayed in his heart that everything would go well.
However, shortly after the rocket took off, an unusual fluctuation suddenly occurred. Su Le's expression instantly grew serious, her already furrowed brows now twisted even more. Her eyes were fixed on the anomalous data, her mind working like a high-speed machine, trying to identify the problem in this complex data.
