Chapter 5 Purchase Trouble

The two of them walked all the way to the supply and marketing cooperative. Su Le looked around first and found that the things there were not much different from those in his own department store.

In the future, I will have a clear way to take things out of the space.

Seeing Su Le shopping by himself, Xia Wan asked, "Le Le, what are you going to buy?"

Su Le looked around, confirmed a few things, and said, "I want to buy a kettle, some soap, laundry detergent, sugar, and so on. What about you?"

Xia Wan looked at it and responded. "Let me take another look."

Su Le nodded and said to a salesperson, "I want a bar of soap, a bar of perfumed soap, a packet of laundry detergent, a kettle, and two kilograms of brown sugar. Also, give me a kilogram of fruit candy and a kilogram of White Rabbit milk candy."

The salesperson looked at her in shock and asked again, "Are you sure?"

Su Le frowned and nodded.

The salesperson handed it to her and calculated the price. "Thermostatic kettle, 7 yuan each plus the thermostatic kettle ticket. Soaps also require soap tickets, 14 yuan each. Washing powder is 24 yuan a bag. Brown sugar and fruit candy both require tickets, four tickets in total, 50 yuan per pound. Fruit candy is 60 yuan per pound. White Rabbit milk candy is 2.25 yuan per pound. A total of one thermos kettle ticket, two soap tickets, and four candy tickets, totaling 11 yuan and 37 yuan."

When Su Le took out two reunion tickets and a bill.

Xia Wan came over and said, "Please get me a thermos, a bag of laundry detergent, and a pound of brown sugar."

The salesperson took Su Le's bill and gave her eight dollars and sixty-three cents in change.

The salesperson counted Xia Wan's things. "The thermos is seven yuan, the laundry detergent is twenty-four cents a bag, and the brown sugar is fifty cents a pound. That's a total of seven yuan and seventy-four cents. One ticket for the thermos, and one ticket for the sugar."

Xia Wan took out a reunion ticket and looked at Su Le, "Le Le, can you lend me two tickets!"

Su Le frowned, "I'm out of mine."

The people behind started to urge, "Can the people in front please hurry up? We're waiting to go back and cook!"

"Don't block me from shopping! Hurry up!"

Su Le looked at the person behind him apologetically. "Sorry, I'll give up my seat now."

Su Le took the things and left without caring about Xia Wan. He waited for her at the door.

When Xia Wan saw that she had left, she awkwardly asked for just one bag of laundry detergent. "Just one bag of laundry detergent is fine."

The salesperson took the money and gave her nine dollars and seventy-six cents in change.

Seeing Su Le, Xia Wan said aggrievedly, "Le Le, can you use your thermos with me when we go to the countryside?"

Su Le rolled his eyes at her and said, "Why should I share it with you? Just buy it yourself!" He picked up the things and was about to go back.

Xia Wan's voice was neither too loud nor too soft as she spread among the crowd, "Le Le, I went to the countryside for you, and since I don't have a ticket for a kettle, I wanted to borrow it from you. I'll buy it when I have a ticket."

"This girl is so heartless!"

"That's right. Everyone knows that life in the countryside is hard these days. Yet, someone is willing to accompany a friend, and yet he doesn't appreciate it and still has this attitude."

"If this were my girl, I would have beaten her a long time ago. She really doesn't know how to be grateful."

Su Le paused as he was about to leave, looking at everyone coldly. "Since you're so good at talking, why not let her be your daughter's friend? Let her sign your daughter up for a country trip!"

Xia Wan's heart skipped a beat. "Le Le, what do you mean?"

Su Le sneered, "What do I mean? Don't you understand? Why did I go to the countryside? Don't you know?"

Xia Wan's tears fell, "Le Le, did you hear something? It really has nothing to do with me. My father actually wanted to sign me up. He looked dazed at the time, so he signed up your name. I had a quarrel with him after he came back, and I hurried to sign up today to accompany you. Please don't be angry, okay." She grabbed Su Le with both hands.

"This girl is quite pitiful. She immediately tried to remedy her parents' mistakes."

"Yeah, don't push your luck, little girl."

"If you don't cherish such a good friend, you will regret it in the future!"

"How can the parents' mistakes affect the children?"

Su Le pulled his hand out with force, and Xia Wan fell to the ground. Everyone quickly helped her up and denounced Su Le.

"What an uneducated person, he even hits people!"

"You're a thing born from a mother but not raised by her."

Su Le stepped forward and slapped the person who had said that to her. One slap for each person, without any bias.

"Who do you two think you are? Which eye of yours saw me hit her? This is what I mean by beating. Stop trying to take advantage of your age. What the hell are you? You are such a disrespectful person." Su Le said coldly.

"How dare you hit me? I'll tear your mouth apart! You're such a bastard." One of the old women immediately jumped up and wanted to hit Su Le.

Su Le kicked her out. He quickly walked over to her, sat on her, and slapped her several times. "I told you to curse. I'll hear you curse again! You bastard! I've spoiled you!"

Xia Wan stepped forward and pretended to stop Su Le, "Le Le, stop fighting. Your father is the director of the machinery factory, and he's afraid that someone will say you're bullying others. Le Le..."

Su Le slapped her in the face. "You wish others would know who I am, right? Get away from me."

Su Le went crazy in the street and became famous overnight. Seeing that no one dared to say anything, he clapped his hands, picked up his things and walked home.

Xia Wan looked at her back thoughtfully as she left.
