Chapter 31 Gu Xinghe: A Man of Noble Character

But before Karl could ask any further questions, Gu Xinghe changed the subject.

"Manager Carl, why don't you arrange a job for me first?"

Carl lowered his head and thought for a while, seemingly considering what kind of position would be most suitable for Gu Xinghe.

"How about... I arrange for you to be an assistant manager?"

This position has enough authority, but it doesn't usually involve much work.

“Hiss—”

Before Gu Xinghe could speak, he heard a series of synchronized inhalations around him.

Gu Xinghe turned his head to look, and then he went numb.

He didn't even want to know why Wilson had brought the same seven players back here.

[This position is too low!]

[They should have just made my brother Gu the tavern owner!]

Without needing to discern carefully, Gu Xinghe knew that this was definitely Chen Licheng's innermost thought.

"Manager, I've finished helping the new employees collect their things, and now I'm going to take them to the staff dormitory."

Wilson, who had only shown a desire to leave work since he arrived, failed to grasp the somewhat strange atmosphere at the moment.

After saying this, seeing Karl nod, he quickly led the group behind him through the tavern hall and up to the second floor.

They completely ignored the expressions on their faces, as if they wanted to stay put and watch the drama unfold.

Since acquiring the ability to read minds, Gu Xinghe feels that his inner strength has been growing stronger.

No matter what happens, he can generally keep a calm and composed expression on his face.

This is probably what they call the price of growing up.

Although he has now accomplished what Zheng Yiqiu wanted to do but couldn't.

Unfortunately, his main quest remains unchanged.

Gu Xinghe, who was only thinking about getting through this dungeon safely, actually wanted to say "okay".

But the game system panel told him: No, you don't want to.

So Gu Xinghe could only helplessly say to Karl.

"No, just arrange for me to be a bartender."

Mr. Gu is truly a man of noble character and integrity!

[This is to inspect the grassroots work at the tavern; I plan to experience it firsthand!]

No wonder he's capable of being a behind-the-scenes boss!

Listen to Karl's heartfelt praise and admiration for him.

For a moment, Gu Xinghe even wondered if Karl knew he could hear other people's thoughts.

But Gu Xinghe, who had been through many trials, remained very calm.

"All right……"

Carl nodded hesitantly.

Immediately afterwards, he took Gu Xinghe to the warehouse to collect the employee handbook and uniform.

The bartender's uniform is predominantly black.

It also comes with two inconspicuous black leather armbands that complement the black shirt.

This makes it easier for bartenders to roll up their sleeves and adjust the length of their sleeves while working.

Finally, Gu Xinghe pinned his work ID tag to his uniform and walked out of the employee changing room.

"Mr. Gu, shall I take you to see the person in charge of the bar area?"

This is different from directly assigning Wilson to lead the way for other players.

At this moment, Karl asked Gu Xinghe for his opinion and personally led the way for him.

"OK."

Gu Xinghe nodded.

Do you know how to mix drinks? Or have you ever been involved in the field of bartending?

At this moment, Karl belatedly remembered this problem.

"I don't know how, and I've never had any experience with it."

Gu Xinghe answered the other party's question casually, without blushing or skipping a beat, his expression extremely calm.

"It's alright, it's not a big problem. We have pre-job training at our tavern."

But listening to Karl's somewhat stiff reply, Gu Xinghe felt that the problem might actually be quite serious.

When Gu Xinghe and Karl returned to the tavern hall.

In the lobby, the other players were in their respective work areas, being led by their supervisors to familiarize themselves with the operations.

Upon arriving at the bar area, he saw Luo Zhiye talking to another bar employee.

The uniforms they were wearing were exactly the same as his.

Presumably, the other employee was a bartender working at the bar, just like them.

The bar area is actually two small bar areas on either side of the pub.

This refers to Area A1, which Gu Xinghe was just assigned to, and Area A2, which Luo Zhiye was previously assigned to.

As for the large bar counter in front of the giant wine bottle wall, it actually only serves as a regular display and decoration.

They saw Gu Xinghe and Karl walking over.

The employee next to Luo Zhiye stopped talking to him and greeted Karl first.

"Manager Carl."

Carl nodded to the other party and then introduced them to each other.

"Mr. Gu Xinghe, this is Grant, our bartender."

"Grant, Mr. Gu is also a new bartender at our bar, in charge of area A1."

He might not have much experience in bartending. Would you mind giving him some pointers?

Having received the hint in Carl's words, Grant nodded knowingly.

"If that's the case, I think Mr. Gu should just learn to make the three most signature drinks in the tavern."

These three types of drinks are also the most frequently ordered by customers at the tavern, and they are quite versatile.

Seeing the questioning look in Grant's eyes, Carl nodded and then spoke.

"I also think this is quite appropriate. Now I need to get back to work."

Grant, I'll leave the pre-employment training to you.

Before leaving, Karl turned back to Gu Xinghe and continued speaking.

"If Mr. Gu has any further questions or needs any assistance, he can always come to the manager's office on the second floor to find me."
