Chapter 419 Divinity and Humanity

From my own perspective as someone who experienced it firsthand.

Gu Xinghe did not think that the plot of the book formed from the dream was particularly exciting or dramatic.

This is not to belittle my experiences or to suggest that my life has been meaningless.

Rather, it refers to books that are more exciting and full of twists and turns than those filled with dramatic climaxes.

His experience was more like a "game" that should have been on hellish difficulty, but was given extra "cheats".

The longer Gu Xinghe stayed in this world after transmigrating, the deeper his understanding of this "metaphor" became.

However, this did not make Gu Xinghe feel that he was being "perfunctory" or that the world was so fake.

Rather, it's more accurate to say that Gu Xinghe gained a lot from this journey, which felt like embarking on a hacked version of a game.

Because it's not about defeating the supernatural, but about acquiring even greater power.

What he gained more on this journey of life was bonds.

It is something more essential that arises from connecting with and interacting with different people.

Just like the villagers he had encountered in that small village in the [Mind Realm]—

They have long since lost their physical bodies, yet they can still be called human beings.

Just like the blood flowing in his body is no longer bright red.

However, because deep down, humanity still remains, and the most essential part of being human is still there.

Therefore, this is why the former villagers in the [Mind Realm], and even Gu Xinghe now, can still be called "human".

At this moment, a sense of understanding gradually rose in Gu Xinghe's heart.

Although in the process of coming into this world and living better here, I once said, "I don't want to be human anymore."

But Gu Xinghe realized more and more clearly—

He traveled to this world as a player and participated in various game instances along his journey.

Compared to the physical decline in humanity, there is a gradual process of spiritual rejuvenation.

The experience of becoming a gamer is completely different from the ordinary daily life before the transmigration.

After arriving in another world, the bonds formed with familiar yet unfamiliar companions change the unfortunate events of the "previous life".

This series of experiences seems to have allowed him to rediscover himself, others, and this new world.

In this process, Gu Xinghe is constantly exploring aspects of himself that he himself does not even know.

Therefore, this is why Gu Xinghe did not completely believe what Nag said before.

Nag, who believes the world is essentially a dream, has clearly misunderstood the theme of this book, which is based on dream content.

This is not a typical shonen story where the protagonist defeats the villain and becomes a hero.

Rather, it is the dragon slayer who, after becoming the dragon himself, is unwilling to abandon his former companions and all the good things he once possessed.

So he returns to the "past" to save himself and find redemption.

Therefore, He offered His "past self" a "miracle" that could only be accomplished after becoming a god.

After "stopping being human," he is now relearning how to be human.

This is a journey of self-redemption, a search for humanity and self-discovery.

So even under a hellish "world setting".

This story, which should have had a bumpy road in its "previous life," seems to have fewer thorns.

Rather, it is the "future" that made the thorns bloom into flowers.

He allowed his companions to retain memories of the "future" and stay by his side.

All of this serves as a welcome back to one's original self.

And so, in the end, the initially bewildered transmigrator rediscovered himself in this strange new world.

In the daily life with companions, I rediscovered the humanity I had lost.

At this moment, Gu Xinghe suddenly understood why his partner had experienced "rebirth" or gained memories of the future.

That was a gift from the extraordinary "future" to the ordinary "past".

Unique and extraordinary miracles are born from the ordinary and mundane aspects of daily life.

He was "cheated" in Hell difficulty, and thus rediscovered the "miracle" called self.

It is the "future" that He bestowed upon the "past" Himself the grandest "miracle".

When Gu Xinghe first encountered the Goddess of Thorns at St. George's University, he realized that the gods are "unchanging".

It remains steadfast amidst the erosion of time and the turning of the seasons.

Thus, in this "miracle" created by Gu Xinghe from the "future" and given to himself from the "past,"

They also left behind a certain unchanging characteristic.

Perhaps, they realized they were the "villains".

They are exactly what Nag refers to as "rebels who know the truth of the world but still attempt to resist."

But for Gu Xinghe, who is focused on the "future," this is not something to worry about.

Because He desires change more than eternal immutability.

Thus, under the unchanging divinity.

His very existence is a "miracle," making the humane Gu Xinghe of the "past" the sole "variable." This also allowed him to regain his sense of self.

In a daze, Gu Xinghe, who was still standing in a room with a blurry bloodstain, seemed to see "himself".

It wasn't like before, when you looked up and saw the outside world as soon as you returned from the "Mind Realm" to reality.

The "gaze" between the "inside" and "outside" of this world from the gods who are outside of it yet peer into it.

Rather, it was his introspective self-examination.

That doesn't mean that Gu Xinghe suddenly discovered something hidden in his mind and soul.

A god from the future who has been spying on the outside world through himself, attempting to take over his present body.

Instead, he discovered the blessing that came from the "future" that He had left for him within his own abilities.

Or perhaps, that was a skill he would acquire as he grew up.

And it is now merely appearing prematurely in his "past".

That's an ability called "mind reading".

Understand yourself, understand human nature, understand the world.

Evolved from the concept of omniscience, mind reading grants Gu Xinghe the ability to acquire information.

Thus, the information he gained from the world itself at this moment allowed him to understand the essence of this world—

This is the most magnificent dream and the most ordinary daily life that He has given Himself.

His dream has ended; His dream never needed to end.

Because this world is not a dream, and everything that the young man named Gu Xinghe experienced was not fake.

Divinity descends from the extraordinary heavens to the mundane everyday world because of humanity, and humanity also provides an anchor point to stabilize divinity.

Therefore, He is Him, and He is Him.

The divinity of the "past" and the humanity of the "present" will eventually move together toward the "future".
