Chapter 17 Chris's Teaching

"The master invites Mr. Gu Xinghe to the dance studio."

It was probably a message relayed by the maid, which perfectly matched what he was thinking about.

Gu Xinghe was momentarily dazed.

It was clear that the blonde maid's address to him was not as affectionate as Eiffel's.

Upon hearing this, Gu Xinghe took off the gloves he used for work and research, nodded, and said.

"OK."

The dance studio is located on the second floor of the castle.

As Gu Xinghe passed through the lobby on the first floor, he once again passed by the banquet hall.

There were dozens of people inside, working in an orderly fashion to design and set up the space.

Gu Xinghe looked up—

Among all those who are loyal, jealousy stands out as particularly unique.

Jealous Li Ruoshan kept working, but secretly glanced at Gu Xinghe.

But when she saw Gu Xinghe looking at her, she quickly lowered her head.

In that brief moment of eye contact, he saw the deep, intense, and inescapable darkness in Li Ruoshan's eyes.

That might also be—pollution.

Seeing that Gu Xinghe had stopped and was observing something, the two maids also naturally stopped walking.

There was no urging from Gu Xinghe until he spoke.

"Keep going."

Gu Xinghe withdrew his gaze, and the blonde maid walked in front of him to lead the way.

Eiffel followed slightly behind him.

The three continued walking towards the second floor.

After Gu Xinghe's figure disappeared into the banquet hall on the first floor of the castle.

Knock knock knock——

There was a knock on the open door of the banquet hall on the first floor.

Li Cheng walked in from outside the hall, carrying a box of supplies for the setup.

He was originally supposed to be assigned by Eiffel to be the warehouse manager in charge of accounting and calculating banquet supplies.

However, once they were actually taken to the warehouse, they ended up working as material handlers.

Fortunately, he was able to frequently travel between the warehouse and the banquet hall, and between the warehouse and the kitchen, during the breaks between moving supplies.

This gave him the opportunity to briefly meet and talk with Chen Licheng, who worked in the kitchen, and Li Ruoshan, who worked in the banquet hall.

In this game instance, it is no longer possible for all players to work together and survive.

But Li Cheng was still grateful for the opportunity to meet other players and exchange a few words with them.

Humans are, after all, social beings.

Although Li Cheng had only known Chen Licheng and Li Ruoshan for a short time.

But he was still happy to see people he knew in this terrifying and eerie manor instance.

Li Cheng was wearing matching black overalls.

I prepared to take the box I was carrying to the banquet hall on the first floor of the castle so that the waiters inside could set up the venue.

He bent down and squatted down, easily lifting the large and heavy wooden box from the ground with both hands.

Without any effort, Li Cheng found himself easily lifting the supply box that he had previously found very heavy.

He couldn't help but recall the first day in the warehouse when he could barely move the boxes.

The work has become easier, and I'll be able to meet acquaintances later.

Both of these things made Li Cheng even happier.

However, despite feeling that he should be happy, his expression remained wooden and expressionless.

It was as if he wasn't actually happy about that pleasure.

Li Cheng carried the box and walked step by step toward his destination.

Every step he took and every movement he made seemed to have been precisely measured.

Without the slightest deviation.

Even the distance of each step was exactly the same.

The focus in his pupils gradually faded, as if he were a real cargo-carrying machine.

After arriving at the banquet hall on the first floor of the castle.

Li Cheng put down the box, knocked on the door, and handed the supplies to the only person he knew—Li Ruoshan.

"How are you?"

As a fellow player, Li Cheng expressed his concern for Li Ruoshan.

However, he seemed to find it extremely difficult to say those words.

Like a gear machine that is struggling to run without lubrication.

It was sluggish and accompanied by an unbearable, sharp noise.

"certainly."

Li Ruoshan, however, was completely oblivious to the strangeness in the other person's words, and even smiled.

"What's this?"

Li Cheng looked at her with a puzzled expression.

"It's just a regular decorative bell."

Li Ruoshan shook the bell in her hand, and the bell made a clear, crisp sound.

Although it appears perfectly normal, it feels strangely eerie.

Li Cheng, who believed his mind was still clear, looked at her with eyes full of wariness and vigilance.

Holy crap! Watching these two talk is so painful!

[I have to say, it looks really terrifying.]

They both seem to be half-crazy.

Everyone else around them seemed oblivious to their conversation and continued working diligently.

...

In the dance studio on the second floor—

There is a huge mirror in the room used as a dance studio.

It is used to adjust the user's dance posture and demeanor.

When Gu Xinghe entered the dance studio, he finally saw Chris, whom he hadn't seen for a long time, standing in the center of the room.

She wore a striking red backless dance dress, revealing her beautiful shoulder blades.

As she walked toward Gu Xinghe, the hem of her dance skirt fluttered, like a rose in full bloom.

Gu Xinghe naturally put his arm around her, and Chris smiled sweetly in her arms.

"I need a dance partner for the opening dance of the banquet to be held in three days."

"I've decided—you'll be my date and dance partner!"
