Chapter 184 Zhou Bingxuan and Pei Shuyan

During Yu Zihan's vacation, Zhou Bingxuan was fully responsible for the factory's operations. After her vacation, Yu Zihan saw that the factory was operating normally. She walked along the tree-lined avenue inside the factory, watching the people rushing to work. She wondered if the factory no longer needed her, and whether she should explore other areas.

He pondered all the way to his office. "You're here?" He ran into Zhou Bingxuan, who was in a hurry. "What's going on? Are you so anxious?" Yu Zihan had never seen Zhou Bingxuan so anxious before. Even such a big man had beads of sweat on his forehead. "I need to ask for leave. Shu Yan was in a car accident." Zhou Bingxuan's words made Yu Zihan's heart tighten. "I'm going too. Wait a minute." Yu Zihan explained to the secretary and asked the driver to drive the car to the door.

Yu Zihan's uncle and mother stood at the door of the operating room, waiting anxiously. As soon as Yu Zihan saw her uncle, she couldn't wait to ask about the cause of the accident. His uncle angrily said, "A car lost control and hit several people. Shuyan's injuries were serious, while the others were only slightly injured. This damn driver, why didn't he check the car's condition before driving?"

After hearing what her second uncle said, Yu Zihan became even more anxious. She kept looking at the light in the operating room, hoping it would go out quickly. Time passed by minute by minute. An hour later, Yu Zihan could no longer hold back and asked her mother again, "How long have you been in there?"

Mom sighed and replied with a slightly trembling voice, "It's been five hours."

At this time, the door of the operating room finally opened and the doctor walked out. Everyone gathered around and asked about Pei Shuyan's condition. The doctor said tiredly: "The operation was successful. The patient is out of danger and now needs to be transferred to the intensive care unit for observation."

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing the news. Yu Zihan's tears also flowed, and the heavy stone in her heart finally fell to the ground. Afterwards, Pei Shuyan was pushed out of the operating room and transferred to the intensive care unit. The whole family followed behind, silently praying for her along the way.

In the intensive care unit, Pei Shuyan had not yet woken up. Her face was pale, and her body was full of various tubes. Yu Zihan looked at her, her heart full of heartache and worry. She took Pei Shuyan's hand and said softly: "Shuyan, you must wake up soon. We are all waiting for you, you are not fighting alone."

Pei Shuyan's grandparents were also standing guard outside the ward, praying that their granddaughter would be safe.

Yu Zihan went to ask the doctor in detail about Pei Shuyan's current condition. He learned that the surgery was successful, primarily because both legs were fractured, but her other internal organs, including her brain, were fine. She would recover after continued treatment and rest.

Yu Zihan explained the situation to everyone, and everyone felt relieved. "Grandpa, grandma, you should go back and rest first. Don't overwork yourself. We'll take turns here." Seeing that her uncle and aunt were already panicking, Yu Zihan took charge of the situation. She understood her family's feelings, but staying in the hospital wasn't an option for long.

Everyone thought about it, and that was the case, but the uncle and aunt insisted on waiting here for their daughter to wake up. In the end, it was decided that everyone else would leave the hospital for the time being, leaving only Yu Zihan's uncle and aunt.

Yu Zihan and the others waited on a bench outside the ICU. A moment later, Zhou Bingxuan arrived with a lunch box. "Everyone, eat first. Staying strong is key to reassuring Shuyan when she wakes up." The uncle and aunt didn't recognize Zhou Bingxuan, so they looked at Yu Zihan.

"Oh, this is Zhou Bingxuan, a good friend of my sister and me. He is my partner." Yu Zihan seemed to realize something, so when introducing Zhou Bingxuan, he deliberately added a sentence about his current situation.

"Thank you, you've worked so hard." Hearing that this man was just their daughter's good friend and had done so much when their daughter was in trouble, the uncle and aunt had a good impression of this young man. The three of them waited outside, while Zhou Bingxuan was busy taking care of their logistics.

At eight o'clock in the evening, Pei Shuyan regained consciousness and was transferred to a regular ward. The Pei family had reserved a separate room for her to recuperate and be cared for by her family. The first thing they saw was Pei Shuyan, her legs in plaster. "Mom and Dad," she cried. From fear to coma to lucidity, she finally saw her loved ones.

"My child, you've suffered. It's okay. The operation was successful. You'll be fine as long as you rest well." The second uncle and aunt were also in tears. They were heartbroken that their daughter, whom they held in the palm of their hands, had suffered such a serious injury.

Looking at Pei Shuyan lying on the hospital bed, their uncle and aunt were filled with heartache and worry. Their daughter had always been their pride: smart, beautiful, kind, and never disappointed them. But now, their daughter lay in a hospital bed, her legs in plaster, unable to move. They couldn't imagine the pain and suffering she had endured in the car accident. They could only pray silently, hoping that she would recover soon and stand up again.

Pei Shuyan was hanging out with her parents and sister when Zhou Bingxuan appeared in the ward. His hands were laden with bags.

"Bingxuan, you're here." The moment Pei Shuyan saw Zhou Bingxuan, she called him in a very familiar manner and even cried.

"Shuyan, don't cry. It's okay. We will always be by your side." When Zhou Bingxuan heard Pei Shuyan calling him, he threw a pile of things on the table and rushed to Pei Shuyan's side. The two held hands tightly.

We are all experienced people. As soon as we saw the scene in front of us, we knew that the relationship between the two people must have gone beyond the scope of friendship.

Uncle and aunt looked at Yu Zihan with doubtful eyes.

Yu Zihan shrugged, saying she didn't know. But seeing her sister and Zhou Bingxuan fall in love made her happy. They were both important people in her life, and she was happy that they were happy.
