Chapter 32 Reminder

Yu Meijuan liked the ready-made clothes as soon as she saw them. She wanted to start embroidering on them right away.

But she held back when she thought about the contract. She had just thought carefully about it and was going to tell Director Zhou about it.

After all, Director Zhou had been very kind to her. Furthermore, her daughter and Meng Rui were very good friends. Most importantly, Yu Meijuan could tell that this family was kindhearted.

Judging from Lao Zhou’s attitude, he obviously didn’t know about the problems in the contract and was kept in the dark.

Now that she has made friends with this family, she can't just sit back and watch from any perspective.

Thinking of this, Yu Meijuan said to Director Liu, "These garments are very exquisite. Once Director Zhou and I complete the final process, I will immediately get back to work. I'm here today to handle the formalities, and I also need to visit Director Zhou."

Her attitude was sincere, and her tone was nonchalant. Liu Dali even wondered if he'd been overthinking it. They'd just carefully read the contract. What could possibly go wrong with a contract? It was signed through legitimate channels.

Liu Dali felt a little paranoid. He had just doubted this elegant woman. He felt a little guilty, so he said with a smile, "Since this is your first time in our factory, let Xiaobai take you to see Director Zhou."

Yu Meijuan was very grateful for Liu Dali's arrangement: "Thank you, Director Liu, you are so thoughtful."

After exchanging pleasantries for a while, Xiaobai led Yu Meijuan to Director Zhou's office. Along the way, Yu Meijuan received numerous looks. She was preoccupied with her own affairs and didn't have the energy to dwell on these trivial matters. Therefore, she came across as aloof and unapproachable.

Xiaobai and Yourongyan walked along the road with a proud look on their faces. Soon they arrived outside the door of Director Zhou's office.

"Sister Yu, we're at Director Zhou's office now, but I won't go in." Xiaobai gave instructions and left.

Yu Meijuan knocked on the door and a familiar voice came from inside, "Come in."

Pushing open the door, Yu Meijuan saw Director Zhou talking to a middle-aged man. The atmosphere between the two men was not harmonious; although not tense, it was tense.

She wondered if she had disturbed someone's work and hesitated to move forward.

Director Zhou didn't expect Yu Meijuan to appear in his office, and Yu Meijuan was dressed so exquisitely and elegantly today that her appearance made his office feel bright and prosperous.

The moment the middle-aged man saw Yu Meijuan, his eyes seemed to be glued to her.

He thought to himself, when did this old idiot, Old Zhou, get to know such a great person? Look at her figure, her face, and most importantly, her bearing. She is definitely a lady from a noble family.

Thinking of this, he couldn't help but walk towards Yu Meijuan.

Yu Meijuan felt the man's gaze. She hurriedly said, "Are you busy? I'll come back later." Yu Meijuan saw the two grown men staring at her without saying a word, and she spoke awkwardly.

"Oh, no need, we have finished discussing our business." Director Zhou came to his senses and felt that he was a little rude. He hurriedly let Yu Meijuan in.

He saw that Cui Mingtao had no intention of leaving, and he had no reason to kick him out, so he pointed at Cui Mingtao and introduced him to Meijuan: "This is Cui Mingtao, he is the deputy director of our cotton textile factory, in charge of sales."

Then he pointed at Yu Meijuan and said, "This is Comrade Yu Meijuan who hand-embroidered for our foreign trade orders."

"It's Comrade Yu. I've heard a lot about you." Cui Mingtao stretched out his hand as he spoke.

Yu Meijuan pretended not to know what he meant, but just smiled and nodded and said hello: "Hello, Deputy Director Cui."

She had no intention of shaking his hand because she had a bad first impression of him. She was only here to work and didn't need to please everyone.

Cui Mingtao didn't expect the woman to ignore him. He pulled his hand back in embarrassment. He cursed Director Zhou in his heart, wondering where he had found such a person. She was such an ungrateful person.

Lao Zhou didn't expect that Yu Meijuan would be so disrespectful to Lao Cui. Lao Cui is a well-known vengeful person. He must not hold a grudge against Comrade Yu because of this.

He immediately tried to give her a way out, so he asked, "Has Comrade Yu Meijuan already met with Lao Liu?"

When Cui Mingtao saw that Yu Meijuan didn't even look at him, he snorted in his heart, what a petty person.

Aren't you going to work in the factory? Do you think I won't have a chance to deal with you? As long as you work in this factory, I have plenty of ways to deal with you. Let's see if you are still so stubborn when the time comes. He left angrily.

Seeing that they were the only two people left in the office, Yu Meijuan told Lao Zhou about her opinion on the contract.

Old Zhou didn't take it seriously at first, but when he heard that the contract involved suspected commercial fraud, he immediately said, "Tell me about it in detail. What exactly is going on?"

Yu Meijuan then said that the contract was signed through an agency, and future settlements would also be made directly with that agency.

However, according to a formal foreign trade contract, the agency's letter of credit should be attached. However, I did not see this in the appendix of the contract.

When talking about this, Lao Zhou understood. Although he did not engage in foreign trade, he did have some knowledge. Without a letter of credit, it meant that the company might not have the qualifications to export. Then, once their goods were shipped out, the payment might not be recovered.

He was a little scared. If their factory really suffered such a huge loss because of the contract, how would he, as the factory director, have the face to continue working there?
